Crown Hardware

Charlie (iirc his name) was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and was able to find and bring me just what I needed without hesitation. He was a godsend with this afternoon, officially made my day better. I hope he and Crown stick around for quite a very long time! Thanks again guys!
The kind of stuff Mom n Pop shops are made of as soon as I arrived in Crown, I was greeted with executional customer support. I'd been for errands needing to do with a flooded house and no one working in the other shops could care less about what I had been telling them. I was shown empathy here.
Cannot say enough great things. It had been a rough day, water main broke in my house, I wasn't home, firefighters had to break down the door and gate to get in. So with newly locks that are broken I had been looking for a replacement. I had been referred to Crown by a neighbor since the guards on the gate are a specialty piece that no big box hardware store would take.

The men that work there are extremely friendly and always strive to be useful. Is a full-service locksmith on-premise and they've lots of components for locks which is excellent! Though there a tiny mom-and-pop shop their prices are good. They have jars of nuts and bolts which are very very affordable. I always check when I need two or one small oddball screws or bolts you'll be able to save a lot of cash. The location is old school and customer service still seems to mean a lot to them which is valued

We're a family owned company, and we have been utilizing Crown Lock's service for more than 10 years. Joe, Linda and the rest of staff are professional, fast responsive and honest. They're amazing. The world deserves to know, although I just got an idea that we ought to leave them an overview because we have not completed it so far:-RRB- They have plenty of customers and do not need an advertisement. . In case if anyone needs a Locksmith company that is trusted.

This is a long overdue review for Joe and Ken at Crown Hardware. I had help changing the locks at my aunt's rental unit, which involved a tenant situation that was challenging. I talked at their shop with Ken and Joe about what I needed and scheduled an appointment to meet at the home. Ken met me was very pleasant also and expertly and promptly completed the task in no time whatsoever. He helped me in what was a very uncomfortable situation with the renter out and I am so thankful to him for his aid. Thank you so much, Joe and Ken!

The lady at the front desk is extremely unfriendly. She's got no disposition to help customers.

I had to return twice to get my keywords properly copied. The hours is unpredictable. I've had bad service there more than once.

I've been going here for 20 decades. I love the people that work here they're always useful and nice to deal with. That said, they closed on the weekends and much worse, they charged me to get a roll of blue painters tape over $10! Not the top of the line material! That's highway robbery and it gives me a reason to journey a bit farther to give my business to someone else. Sad to say as I truly like to support local companies.

It is not even worth saying that parking is a premium because that is pretty much the entire city. There were spaces two cubes while my husband ran to get the key 23, over but I circled a few days.
This will be a short review. We needed a key fast from where we stayed, and this place was around the corner. The staff was nice and the price was cheap.

Crown Hardware may not be the cheapest option, but it is convenient location in the Outer Richmond. Located within a block of this Balboa theatre, this area is an uphill walk from coffee joints, the beach, and restaurants. The team is helpful and gave me the heads up concerning the pepper & salt chicken at Purple Kow-I understand.
Seriously, check this place out. They will help you with every weekend SF home project you're trying to start.

These individuals are the best. The shop is operating now, and they're an asset to the area. They did, although I was not so optimistic that they could accommodate me on short notice and needed some emergency work done on a lock! The locksmith set up the components that were necessary, and came with in 90 minutes, the cost was fair and I was a happy camper. The neighborhood needs to support companies since when they're gone it's too late. . .and you will receive yet another coffee shop in their place! .

Great customer service. I walked in with a strange request and Charlie was useful. He put whatever I needed for me. Really cool.

I discovered lots of wonderful items that seem like NOS (new old stock) and made in the united states. Come here , support a local small company, Should you ever want some hardware component and you will not be disappointed. The people who work here are knowledgeable and friendly! When I asked to get a"hasp", they understood precisely what I meant! Good luck finding someone in the big box store who'd understand what means.
This is a neighborhood tool/hardware store. You truly don't find many of these nowadays thanks to the big box stores that sells lots of junk that is imported. From the exterior, it resembles a store that is tiny, but go inside and you'll find it's super huge. .

Came into grab a 1/4" eye bolt to get my camera but they only had 3" or more. They didn't hesitate to cut it down to size and sanded down the edges for me!
Customer support!

I needed to get a key made for my own roof racks and was quoted at several areas for upwards of $60 and that was with just the possibility of them being in a position to perform it.
Patrick in particular went far above what he needed to, in order to give the best possible customer support to us. He ended up needing to special order my kind of essential and created a couple possibilities for the key. As it came time to give it a try, he even came out of the store and helped take off the roof racks himself!
Amazing customer support from Patrick!! My boyfriend and I will be sure to keep on coming back and to urge Crown Hardware to other people in the area!
This hardware store is around the corner from me and I went in to find out what they needed to say. They said it would just be $18.50 plus they would be pleased to do that for me.

We didn't have a key to a door in an apt building and had them go out to change. I wasn't able to fulfill them time so that they chose the front door lock to the construction (which I didn't know they were likely to do). Until they picked the lock, the front door to the building was nice! After the front door wouldn't lock. We informed them and they went out to attempt to fix it, didn't get fixed, got worse!! They stated it was an alignment problem and it wasn't their fault!! We got a $300 bill!! We are being charged for something that they caused and couldn't fixed. I needed to call someone else to fix the issue because Crown stated they couldn't fix it! There was nothing wrong with the door till they chose the We shouldn't have been charged to them attempting to fix the door!!

I found the staff to be more helpful, courteous, and prompt.
For me its Crown Hardware for fundamental Hardware when you want a Lock Smith, or which you have to have in a pinch.
This isn't where you should come for custom paints, if desired, however they do possess topnotch Lock Smith.
Its really wonderful to have a Hardware Store at the Outer Richmond, and though the shop is not very big but what it lacks in size it makes up in utilizing every inch of wall space to display an extensive quantity of merchandise. For me this trip was to acquire some equipment for the Bathroom, and even when the price paid might have been slightly higher then I'd have expected at a Home Depot it also meant I did not have to drive to Daily City and rear saving me time and gas.

Went in to Test on pricing and a part. Wasn't sure once I began the job just in case, I was gon na use it wanted to have it . If I did not use it, I was advised by the clerk I could return it. So I purchased it and paid too much. I went back to return it ended up not using it. The clerk was there and said he needed to test something. With that I think was that the operator or supervisor he arrived back and was informed no returns.
It was clear it had not been used and I had the reception. I would have travelled some where else and paid for it been in a position to return it if I'd known this was a policy. In any event they have the purchase. Will be going to the Normal Plumbing Ace Hardware on.

Locked out of my Flat entirely they said 88 for the Flat and 20 for the unit but Advised me to try to get through the Flat, I got through and She Then offered an awesome Bargain of 68 for my unit, they arrived at no more than 30 Minutes and done at 5, Fantastic customer Support good attitude, much appreciated

Real nice people. super quick
Keep an eye out for parking. Try.

Anyhow, my dad and stalked up on plumbing supplies and I walked to Crown. The man who helped us was really helpful and knowledgeable about subject of plumbing. . .even my dad was impressed!
While entertaining my seeing parents, my dad decided a few things were in my flat that could use some. I understand what you're thinking. . .Isn't that that the landlords job? Yeah right...
