Rich S. Danville, CA
Rich from Dad's arrived in time, finished the project to perfection, was a complete gentleman, and fees reasonable costs (exactly what he quoted). I'm never going to some other locksmith.

I don't often write Yelp reviews. It is because a business has produced a constant impression on me again and again, While I do and I believe it is well worth sharing. This is one such case.
They are reliable and punctually. When booking any type of in home service appointment that is hugely important to me. I would recommend you seriously consider Dads Locksmith, if you're in the market for a safe. Go in and Speak to Rich or Dylan. Tell them what you're looking for and a product on you won't just attempt to push to close a sale. They will make sure that you get the ideal product to suit your requirements.
Like the Fourth of July Parade, the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Primos Pizza, the Locksmith of Dad is. For as long as I can recall this has become the place to go to your locksmith needs for all. It has been around since before I was a youngster and I've come to consider this small business one of the anchors in the Downtown Danville area.
In my view Dads Locksmith is very reasonably priced. Yes it is a fact that if you wanted to cut coupons and wait in line bright and early on Black Friday you could buy a cheaper lock at a big box store . however, it will be just that. You get exactly what you pay for. You are never going to find the identical amount of experience and support at a big box store.
The team is knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. They've consistently gone out of their way to go that extra mile to provide good olé fashioned customer support. You just won't find employees that adapting to customer needs everywhere but a business.

Ever when you get it home you discover it does not work and had a key made? That's because they don't keep their equipment. That's not the narrative with Dad's. We have been dealing with them for over 20 years. It has done . Yesterday, rick fixed a lock , and now it works.
A store is no longer maintained by them, but he does respond to phone calls. If you want keys created, he and you will rendezvous.

I needed them to rekey 21 locks and they squeezed me to care for this pressing issue. Service was outstanding, quality of work was great, and cost was beyond fair. I would definitely call them refer them to a buddy!

We have had Rich over to our house and both times he's done a great job! He's rekeyed our exterior doors and replaced the grips with fresh ones. Very professional and nice but also personable. Price is reasonable and he does the job right. Highly recommend!

Quick and inexpensive service. We discussed the telephone for altering our locks the alternatives and he was on time, helpful and even tried to help us locate our cat that we believed may have escaped out the door. Highly recommend!

I was told to go by the company who is currently trimming our front door to Dad's. We want to change the hardware on our front door. I spoke with the owner and instead of selling me a 2,000+ lockset to our door, he suggested we take it to have it refinished. He said it would be about $400. Anyone who is willing to save $1,500+ has 5 stars in my book! I will use Dad's any time I have a lock or security requirement from today on!
PS - I expect they're more successful than ever and their Danville location is shutting, but will be using a mobile company moving!

Excellent. Reliable. Fast with prices of 5 places called. Nothing else I can ask for. I am quite satisfied and also have new locks on my doors!

I called Dad's Locksmith and Security yesterday's and found the customer service representative to be professional and courteous on the phone. He assisted me scheduled a suitable time to come during.
He was considerate, arrived early, called beforehand and got my front door lock repaired efficiently and quickly. I appreciated he assessed the lock when he was finished, to be sure I wouldn't have any problems getting in and out of my house.
Overall really delighted with this corporation. They did a fantastic job for me.
I had an excellent service telephone a tech, with Daniel.

Came recommended by another locksmith. These guys are prepared for anything. I had a jewellery box that needed a special key that is conventional to lock the very top. The two guys on duty tried 20 keys before finding and were very helpful.
Thank you for your time and effort; it is much appreciated:)

Rich was efficient timely and professional, coming into my home. He met his estimated cost and timeline well, and quality work!

Not pleased with this company. I'm a Realtor who had difficulties ordering locks and dummy locks for a customer's front door with Lowes. Decided to make my life more easy by visiting a professional. I had been promised the special order item will arrive. It didn't, nobody called. I chose down there and they stated they would follow up and call me. Nobody called now they're closed for a week along with my customer has no door knob. Not specialist.

By this time the lock on my front door was totally non-functional. At this point, I went into some local ACE Hardware and purchased new locks and had them all re-keyed. I like to try and do business with a organization, however this one is just not open when they are needed by clients.

I wasted 5 trips to Dad. I tried to substitute a lock that is made. First trip, I got there soon after 1 PM on Saturday and Dad's was already closed (one hour wasted and I needed to reinstall the lock). I moved a 2nd time during the week. Hours that are posted say that they open at 9:30 however there was no indication of life inside and they weren't answering the telephone. That day, I was two hours late to work.
I got a call a few days later stating my parts were in. I attempted to get during the week but could not get before the weekend away from work. Imagine my surprise when I pulled up to obtain a note so the owners could go on vacation. It sure could have been helpful to have this bit of advice when I got the message on Thursday my handles were in. I might have asked somebody to pick the locks for me up.
The 3rd time was called by me and they were open. I showed my old lock and the bits I had so we talked about the options and none of which were great so I went home to consider it, were left. We finally made the decision to replace the entrance locks into the home and I moved back into Dad's a 4th time to acquire the four locks I needed. They didn't have"dummy knobs" for the non-operating doorways but would dictate them.
My advice to other people - GO ELSEWHERE! Don't waste your time like I did.

'Dad' (Rich & son), came out within one hour of my call to open a door I had secured (with only essential inside). Talk about fast, effective, professional and great guys! I'm over the moon with quick reliable service with a friendly attitude. Oh and by the way, Rich was able to cut at a couple of new keys for me on the place from his mobile shop. Fully recommend!

I used their service a couple of times to install new locks, make extra keys and get mailbox lock which has been missing essential drilled out and replaced. They were professional and always nice. Great business enterprise.

After searching through Yelp! I really don't understand why a locksmith who goes to install and re-key locks to people's homes wouldn't have a broom or vacuum accessible. This is very good customer support period.
At that stage, I did not bother arguing with him. He offered to repay the $5 to the strike plate (when I drove to Danville-waste of time and gas).
I had impression of the Locksmith and I wouldn't suggest this place because of quality, price and client services. They don't go beyond to their client but rely every single cent because they're competing with stores like Lowe's, Home Depot and Ace Hardware.
The man is a liar or the man has no integrity.
Response to service-got an appointment.
Quality of service-I had the man install entrance that is front back and handle door dead-bolt. The man asks me if I wanted to pay an extra $5 to get a strike plate. I figured, "why not?" Problem is that when he left the home, not only did he leave a mess on my doorstep (he did not have a broom or vacuum), the attack plate was loosely connected to the door jamb. Rich began telling me of sabotaging the door jamb, stating that his man did not mess up the jamb, when I contacted the store.
For the best deal and support... I decided to provide Dad's Locksmith an attempt since my aide (whom I really do trust) recommended it.
Their employee came over to install the handle and lock asked me to hook him up.
When I told the store this was a new home my wife and I just moved into and why could we (owners) undermine our own door jamb, he changed his story stating that the jamb was not fixable and a carpenter is required to fix it.
Price wise-expensive.

Thank you for your quick, efficient and professional service. And for fixing my sliding door. You guys are wonderful.

Because we moved to Danville in 2000 they have been used by us. They do good work and charge reasonable rates. They even came out in the last minute for me b/c door lock and would not close.

Thank you Dad's Locksmith! Came in with a trailer receiver lock which didn't have a key. They attempted to select the lock , but in the long run they had to drill out it. They were easy and nice to work with. I finally have receiver lock which has a key, will not loose this crucial! Easy to work with and great support. Thanks!
