Professionals & Honest, Prices that can not be overcome. I had a issue w/ a Secure that needed the Vinny touch. Cracked open the safe in less then 10minutes, It took him longer to move his Van outside to get his tools, then to open the safe!
Great customer services. My bedroom door was mysteriously locked by itself, so that I had to rip the entire doorknob set off so as to get in. Their prices are basically the same as Home Depot. So it saved me a trip to HD, and it had been great to support local business.
Got to appreciate local businesses. Super accommodating. He offered to stay late or come to have a peek at my difficulty lock when he couldn't fit me for another couple of Saturdays. We depended on a 8am.
Finest thing of all he has a charge card machine that is travel! No running to the ATM. :)
Day of, I noticed some neighbors chatting up a guy w/a instrument tote, and discovered some chatter outside my window. I had a hunch that it was Vinnie showing up at 8am for our scheduled appointment directly! Sure enough it was, and that I thought that needs to be a fantastic sign if the local folks want to stop to chat him up. He tinkered w/my issue lock and indicated it could be an issue. However, after a couple more moments, the lock showed it's true colours and jammed. He called me and suggested that it be replaced after all which I was happy to. He explained that the older one was poor quality and substituted it with a one. Super happy with all the lock and assistance. He was in and out in under 30 min and I thought I'd be"on time" to operate, HA! Sorry sour, train flaws!
In the world of today it's like finding a diamond! I recommend DV Locksmith for their integrity and honesty.
It doesn't happen quite often that one has advice. Mark took the time to explain my options, but (unlike others) he did not push for sale or service, only gave me his specialist, honest opinion and found a solution.
Because I found another one managed by Alexa I had been wanting to replace my current lock.
I sent pictures and talked to Mark. As it turned out, my current lock is the top one of the very secure on market, of the lineup, and that I had been looking to replace it by inferior product.
Could not be more fulfilled. Vinnie did a fantastic job for a fantastic price. He also fixed board and my present loose cylinder, and installed a brand new deadbolt. Made sure I got it knew how to use it before he left and activated. 5 stars all of the way! I've lived in the neighborhood 13 years and wish I had found DV Locksmith & Hardware years past!
When in astoria on Steinway ave I remembered that I needed to make a key copies and the time to do it is I shall let it drag on and never get it done. I presume that most clients use the support much more then the hardware material although it's a corner shop that's a locksmith/hardware shop. I needed 2 keys replicated and they have the machines and experience to get the job. Rates are reasonable for these type of keys and they fit like a glove, you don't have to return to a backup that is lousy or refile. A fantastic family owned company to encourage while shopping and eating in astoria.

Why is not there a 6 star choice? Because these men deserve it. Matt answered the phone and explained while he can do it and that was the proper screwdriver, I could pretty much do it myself. I went , got the batter (that he shaved a little to make it a lot easier for me), got a 3 minute protest, and voila- I opened it in under a second. All for $3.
Customer support and they were efficient and quick. They laid the options out and I wanted a bolt and gave me the time to pick with no pressure. Whatever it is, I highly recommend this place!!

I had three keys. The employees were friendly and very helpful. I tried one of those key cutting at self-serve kiosks and had to wait for a week to get my key to be sent to me. After I got it, it did work. These guys were very affordable and fantastic. They are highly recommended by me!

The following morning I walked and not only did they charge me half the cost that the other guy quoted, they mended the damage he'd done too. Overall about 10 minutes! My only sorrow is that DV hadn't been called by me .
I had been locked out of my apartment late at night and also a sketchy locksmith I phoned out of a sticker on my mailbox (to my own fault) came and drilled my lock out. I didn't require the lock replaced since I have double doors and that they were charging me what I knew was an inflated cost.

I can not say enough. I called on a Monday and they could fit me. Vinny was on time even beating me home from work! He was extremely courteous and professional. He advised me about the lock and that I appreciated that he had our best interests in mind, instead of just hoping to make a profit. He was efficient and did an exceptional job. . .even if he was done to sweep the dust up from the drill asking for a broom. The lock functions flawlessly and we are very pleased. The cherry on top was when I left work once Vinny offered to wait around so my car would be nearer for me to pull my car around the block to give me his parking place right the next morning! Discuss service that is quick and amazing. I lost my set of keys recently and needed a replacement straight away. Found this place on yelp and walked in and literally walked in less than 5 minutes. Pricing was inexpensive also.
Great response to a request to change a tumbler, one hour after call out. Professional no nonsense service, arrived with all gear needed and finished within a half an hour. During the lock fix, he noticed that among the other lock mechanics had been faulty such I would not be able to escape in the case of an emergency (fire)! This was a major security issue. Fixed this from my family and me at no excess charge, much thanks to you.

My garage door lock that is is from the bronze age crapped out. In the looks of this it almost seemed like someone tried to break in that was more worrisome. I phoned up DV for assistance and they showed up within thirty minutes. Not only were to able to install the lock immediately but the technology also affirmed there was no foul play and that the tumblers in the cylinder just went bad. In the long run I had a door and regained peace of mind. I would recommend them to anyone with lock issues.
