Quick - efficient - office Staff that is Good Thank you!!
I did not have a crisis but used them. It went.
They charge $50 just to drop by and let you know just how much you will charge . No free estimates for local residents who have used them in the past. Great luck with this
When the tech did not show on time the problem happened. I called the tech and multiple times was not reached or was told that they were running from a different job. In the long run, the tech came an hour late. This created an issue because the whole building had needed because Riordan did not make it on time and I had to pay an excess hour into the contractor performing the repairs. On top of that, the tech was not able to turn the water heater back (though he attempted in a number of ways) and took approximately another 1.5 hours.
After all of this, I asked Riordan given the grievances due to the arrival of the tech, to help me offset the cost that by paying another contractor for the hour he had to remain, I had to consume. Riordan Plumbing was unsympathetic and argued that they never provide specific appointments (just time-frames), and it has been that way in their twenty-something years of experience in the market, which is not what I had been told when I put up my own appointment. Additionally, the tech told me that they weren't even charging the extra 30 minutes he took trying to make the water heater operate , which he couldn't do (as if that ought to be my"reward" for the whole scenario )... In the end, they only provided me a $20 discount on my bill that was not even 20 percent of what I had to cover the excess hour on another builder.
After this experience, I would not recommend Riordan Plumbing. They were condecending in their therapy and don't care .
I set up a service with Riordan Plumbing to assist with a water shut from a building in order to perform repairs within a unit. The appointment was put up at 9 would be also at 1 pm and to shut it off to turn it back on. After the repairs were made it was hardly around 10 am, so I phoned Riordan to see if they could return early to turn it back on. They couldn't come early, which is fine and tech was busy.
Over the last 10 years I have worked with four distinct technicians that are regional, I recommend Riordan Plumbing. They are not cheap.
Jessi arrived early. I explain to him the issues. He explained exactly what my choices are and exactly what it would cost. He worked economically and quickly and it was clear to me that he knew exactly what he was doing. I believed the fees were reasonable. This is actually the first time I've used John Riordan Plumbing and when I need a plumber again I'll phone them and ask for Jesse. This company is highly recommended by me.
When you have an appointment for 1-3 pm and the plumber includes 15 min. early.
He's gone five minutes and Whenever your relatives allow the plumber in he will do something for $250. You are not sure what. No written estimate.
People answer the phone in John Riordan Plumbing and make the appointments, but I decided to give up on getting this estimate.
When you need the third of three quotes for a work estimated up to now at $1000 and parts and $1900.
Was not mentioned by your loved ones when you understand that a number of the work asked for in the first two quotes.
I've used Riordan Plumbing for problems around the house. Plumbers are costly but you do not mind paying in the event that you know the problems going to be resolved correctly. They were very professional and did everything I would hire them again.
I have dealt with a lot of contractors, and Riordan is by far the best experience I have had in LA.. As you can request, not only are those men on top of their job, they friendly, patient, and considerate. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing job.
Riordan pipes showed up VERY promptly, also did a great job. Raul was very quick & professional, taking good care of a toilet tank dilemma & this kitchen faucet install and describing my alternatives. An extremely nice guy, also did the occupation saving me $ and gaining a client for future plumbing needs. Thanks!
Would not recommend this company, they're extremely expensive. Plumber was professional and arrived on time, however overall cost to replace a faucet that was simple was nearly $350.
These guys are just the best. Kind, respectful. Not simply the plumbers but also the office staff as well! They worked to get my HOA all of the files needed before the work. Fantastic customer service and top notch work -- Riordan will be my very first call!
Got John Riordan's proposal: to replace 2" diameter 3' long-term drain pipe in garage (easy reachable ) - $1,450.
Proposed pipe is not made from gold, silver. Galvanized iron.
What is this if that is not tear off?
They have an after hours plumber for evening and weekend calls, that cost more than weekday calls that are scheduled and are responsive. Seem knowledgeable about the issues. Clean-up is ok. You'll need to ASK them to wash off shoes or wear booties onto a timber floor. Since they seem to round up I'd keep track of departure and arrival times. I'd use them again.
Riorday Plumbing is the very best on the westside!! Consistently on time, maybe early. Very friendly employees. Returns calls. And they don't leave a mess.
The last two times I had a plumber out was out of John Riordan. Very pleased both times and I shall continue to call them out. The very first time outside was workman Eric who did a wonderful job and had been really nice, extremely efficient, and a fair price. So please that I requested him the time I needed a plumber. In and out in no time solved, acceptable price what else would you ask for.
John Riordan Plumbing was a referred to me by a different plumbing company. Riordan was referred by the company as a company. They were at my home in hour and afterwards I want to know I didn't require any components, there was no charge. That made my day. Both companies will be used by me. What a way along with customer service to construct long term business year after year. Thanks to Drain Unlimited and Riordan Plumbing!!
I am sorry to say, and I have worked with this company in the past they are off my list. As the valve did not turn off to our unit prior to replacing our water heater we had a significant flood in our unit. We have sustained ceiling, floor, wall and electrical issues. The report took nearly 2 months to obtain, and the company is currently denying that they did anything wrong. Every plumber I have worked with consistently turns off the water prior to doing any kind of plumbing work. Additionally, before he started working on water heater, all the breakers did not flip away and got a bad shock. The fee was also inflated by him for replacing the water heater, likely because he wished to earn a quick buck. I have heard there's an ownership change at Riordan, so they're doing things. Our ceiling appears like Starbucks had a celebration, and our floor has buckled.
8/19/2011-We won, and moved against this company! I hope we do not encounter any opposition in those paying the sum that we're owed...
I have had these guys out many times and they've done a fantastic job. However, I am appalled by their strategy when there's a mistake. Despite my having been a regular customer over the last year and a half (multiple $K), and their having to come out three separate times to fix a mishandled install (with me carrying off work every time)they had the nerve to charge for the reinstall. I think for jobs they'll have the ability to handle it but if they have to come back, beware.
Sewage had backed up into the bathtubs and toilets and I needed to find someone here immediately. I called about 4 firms and moved down the Yelp list. The other firms either didn't reply at all or told me I'd have to wait until the following afternoon (obviously not possible). 1 guy sent me a text. By this time I was beginning to dread.
Between the time I made the time that the plumber and the call about an hour and ten minutes had passed. I will definitely be calling them first next time, although I don't know if they quick all the time.
The telephone was answered and a girl explained that she would have somebody here. Minutes snaked the drain after a plumber showed up, advised me to think about maintenance because there are roots at the line, and left. He was nice, professional and quick. No mess, no up-sell, hassle.
On the day of the appointment the plumber shows up and asks me"what am I here to repair?" I showed him the paperwork from the Gas Business he looks at it and indicates that he will go outside to search for the leak. As he is exiting the house he stops and then starts giving me the statistics as to where the leak could be and then proceeds to attempt to talk me in to just replacing the gasoline pipes, getting brand new heaters, etc.. He did not even wish to attempt and find the leak. At the curb whereupon I followed him at one stage he shines his torch into the container and lifts up the gas meter lid. With the light from his flashlight he says suggests that the oval object is against code regulations and that it had to be upgraded and points to a oval object. Then he proceeds to hand me a quote of roughly $3, 9000.00 to substitute afterward whole gas piping to the house. Then he informs me it'll take roughly two to three days to replace the system. It was this stage where he hands me another charge of $99.00 for the service call to the house. Then he indicates that the $99.00 service fee will be deducted from the invoice if I use the John Riordan firm to perform the job. Suffice it to say I phoned up another plumbing company for a second opinion. I ended hiring the other company.
On the day of the appointment the plumber shows up and shuts the water down and assesses the stem valves. Bunch of little pebbles, bingo. He cleans out the aerator, and then clarifies that the faucet was caused by debris out of the pipes to drip. His advice to me was if the leak simply shut down the water, happens again and check to get debris in the stem valves in addition to the aerator.
A couple of days after the gas to the house was shut off due to a leak. I phoned John Riordan Plumbing and advised them I had a gas leak. The dispatcher asked me questions regarding where the leak could be and that I cooperated with her. For 2 days later, the earliest I could envision the appointment was.
So here is the update... a few weeks ago I had problems with a leaky faucet. Since the kitchen aspect was old and finding the replacement stem was impossible I decided have it completed by the pros and the easy answer was to call a plumber.
I called up John Riordan. For 2 days later, scheduled. They were active, apparently. On the day of the appointment a guy shows up. He takes the kitchen faucet apart and assesses the pipes nipples. The nipples had to be substituted and were clogged. New pipes nipples have been installed and kitchen faucet was replaced. The bill was a little over two hundred bucks. Less than twenty five hours after the brand new kitchen faucet starts dripping. Because it was a holiday weekend they were short staffed and that I would have to wait till the following Tuesday.
