For some time I've been wanting to get an excess key for my Acura car that is elderly. But in the past a couple manufacturers attempted in the Valley and they never obtained the key created accurately and I needed to return to them to have a refund. When I was driving in Downtown L.A. recently I saw this Los Angeles Locksmith company and that I thought, why not? It shouldn't take long to receive another car key created and I will try it right away to be sure it works and they did it.
It took less than a half an hour to make the key. And that I had no issue with anyone at their location. They seemed very considerate and were polite and I really don't understand why anyone complained here. And guess what? Once they gave it to me and made the key, I tried it and the door opened and started up the car right away with no issue. So I would say that they do a job. They did for mepersonally, so I highly recommend them. Glad I found them! lol
- they weren't apologetic despite my allowing them know my experience together was satisfactory.
I was of course livid. I called Los Angeles Locksmith stating $285 was no where close to the 120. Let us just say, I talked with two distinct managers who didn't even try to make my day. I am giving one star for the following reasons:
- they weren't apologetic about the price discrepancy and claimed they had been in the correct and I had been in the wrong. ****Guaranteed to make someone on an already awful day, feel much worse.
He also said it was likely to cost $285 for us a key.
I'd lost my keys walking round Echo Park. As in, my car keys to all keys , with all my house keys . . .GONE! That I was at my car struggling to start it and drive home. I googled : Car locksmith and Los Angeles Locksmith popped up. I called instantly.
- they Weren't clear about the cost (hello - just be upfront and don't downplay your costs)
Here Is What happened next:
The man didn't appear for 1.5 hours.
I talked with a lovely woman who told me for a Hyundai Veloster 2012 it would be around $120 and someone could be there in 20 - 30 minutes. I didn't think get another quotation. $120 seemed fair and the turnaround sounded perfect!
- they weren't apologetic about getting the locksmith man be .
I had a tiny lock which needed to be replaced in front of our building. I sent messages out to five locksmiths to get a quote through Yelp and 4 got me back. Mike from LA Locksmith was clearly one of these. His quote was the most detailed although his price was not the cheapest. He told me what would need to be performed and about how much it'd cost. His guy, Ron, called me to figure out so I was not hanging around for 4 hours waiting, an EXACT TIME that would work for me. He had been quick and professional and friendly and on time. He worked on it with me to be sure I was glad, when I balked at the initial price. 5 star service!
I got locked out my home door now and that I did not know what to do. I discovered this great business they came quickly and the price was cheap definitely will use your services again and seemed to find a locksmith thank you
On top of that adored the accent lol, benjamin was the GREATEST. Friendly and made my position better. thanks again!!
I can't say enough about adapting these folks were. I flew into LAX and was locked out of the apartment. My planes kept being delayed so that I gave them updates and called when to expect me. Each time they were nice, calling me and reassuring me that it was OK, and they understood I traveled. My flight was delayed, and there was even delay getting everything and my luggage, or so the locksmith had to wait around for a while for me. He never complained, and that he was really nice, very professional, and got us in the apartment fast when we finally met. We were so relieved. Hopefully I'll be smarter next time and will not lock myself out again, but I know who to call, if I do. Thank you so much.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! They're TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL!!! AND A RIP-OFF Where do I begin. Jessica told me that the service call would be $15 and the rekey will be 49 & up. The human Tony G (trying be fine ) showed up with a straight up mindset!!! He explained it would be $49 for the service call and $80+ to rekey. Why such a difference he explained seem woman when I asked I'm tired I need to go home. . .that's the cost. I continued to press on the issue regarding this mo-fo and the pricing began cursing at me!!! I kid you not!! He said he desired my key. I asked why and he said he needed it to shoot my f@"King tubing out. I was just like what?!? Wait a moment I know you didn't just cuss at me. Then it was on and popping. Knock out me and Nobody will come into my home. Totally unprofessional. You'll be as much of a idiot as me should you use them!!! Please save your self or get your match ready. Is the company and F-CK Tony G!
Terrible support. Awful woman handling the telephone. She was rude and would not identify herself. She yelled at me. I was amazed. I would never call these people.
DO NOT CALL, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!Just to recap.
I found their support unprofessional.
How does a person set an appointment and has to wait the whole day not to get seviced.what if it was an emergency. . .their dispatchers stand offish and came off as rude. I felt as if they only tried to state something and hang up.
And the icing on the cake is their inability to achieve their workers. What kind of self respecting company does not know the whereabouts of their employees.
So where do I begin. I lost my car keys that needed a transmitter processor so I predicted on a friday to receive a replacement set plus some monotone representative answered the telephone and informs me they wouldn't be able to help me out that night because the key needed to be programmed, that is understandable, so I scheduled an appointment for sunday morning at 10:30 A.M. so sunday comes and 10:30 comes and no one calls me I call them with the dispatcher tells me somebody is one their manner and to hold on tight the lock smith would cal me.so I wait an hour later....and nothing! So I call again and they tell me"oh the lock smith has to be busy with the other job he must be there between 6-7 PM" so how does this work if I needed a scheduled appointment. So I essentiallty wasted my whole day waiting on a locksmith which never came.by the end of it they explained that the lock smith could be there the following day about 10 am. Definatly not calling them .
So if somneone who is facing a crisis or crisis...I would definatly skip this service...
Nothing could be worse than this company. DO NOT BUY THE YELP DEAL. I predicted this business and dropped my keys, they gave me a good price quote which strung me along and ended me in the mess I'm in now. I'm fairly sure when he revealed the technician was high on weed. Prior to buying the Yelp deal I called to confirm that could be used by me this day. After the tech showed up he left a phone call and said he could not honor the coupon I had bought. I called the company and they said"that is for use during routine business hours" I re read the fine print of this agreement, no where does it state"just good through business hours". (I would not write this review if it did!) There was not 1 kind of helpful person in this corporation. The technician assessed for 20 minutes in Instagram and his Facebook and sat on the ground near the car. Every couple of minutes I would ask him to get or to call his boss started on the car. After much arguing with the organization and them telling me"call back during business hours just like a normal person" (they are a 24 hour company) I ended up ubering residence and requesting Yelp not to offer deals through this business anymore. When you lose your keys and can't enter your car the very last thing you need is someone 2 people, frustrating you even more than you already are.
