Well I was promised a person within half an hour by these guys. I got someone.
Here's to Rex Lock & Safe along with a brain for me!
Following a bonk on the head and a couple of brain cells dropped on a Thursday afternoon, I locked my loved ones out of our house because I figured that the weather was ideal to adopt a transient lifestyle (53 degrees, partly cloudy, 40 percent chance of rain).
It took approximately 3 minutes and $125 finish unboxing my new dishes and to get back in my house.
You really do get what you pay for!

Trying to get a remote programmed 100 Dollars (didn't include the remote) if you need to cut a key 40 Dollars (same, didn't include the key) and they need over 2 hours to Perform it, cause they were busy, went Someplace else 100 Dollars to Cut and Program the key in under 10 minutes

Terrible motorist with"Rex Lock & Safe" on his van attempted to run me off the road this morning on Ygnacio. Wouldn't call them to get any ceremony based on his aggressive style. No decency. Zero. It's a lane to allow me to mix, not for one attempt to run me and to speed up!

After a few phone to businesses that are different calls Rex Lock & Safe pulled through with the best speeds and response time that is fasted. The receptionist is quite sweet and got I was dispatched to by somebody immediately. The dude that showed up seemed to really care and had a smile. Within 40 minutes in the time I called Rex Lock & Safe- . Golden!

I called them just after 8 and Israel got to my place prior to 8:45. He kept me updated on his ETA, insuring me that he was on his way. When he came was nice and really fast. I am recommending to all family and my friends!

Really great organization to use! We had a house fire and they were helpful in helping us with opening a safe. Have used them for producing keys, installing Medco Locks. Customer service by all their staff!

Pop place and mom that will fulfill any needs with making or duplicating keys. Came in for my malfunctioning Honda Chipped Key and they had it done and on my way over a quarter hour. They were also super sweet towards my little girl. Support this local business!

Don't use this company!!! I had a appointment fro 11am - 1pm with Rex Lock & Safe 1020'B' Street Tracy, CA 95376 when nobody phoned me showed up at 1pm I phoned them back & got a very rude & unprofessional person that said he had been the owner of the company. When I inquired why nobody called or showed up I had been told that they were very active & understaffed & the tech had been eating lunch & would be over after he is done.When I asked if that would be I had been told"do you desire the appointment or not" I then requested him is that any way to speak to a client. An argument proceeded then.

I needed a new key for my car which demanded a computer chip. I went down to see these men. Omar was the one which helped me. This guy looked at it and went , he then had the key made flawlessly in less than 10 minutes. I was on my way along with the works great. These men are very good and I recommend them. They'll get my business.

The first technician that came out was. I had to call several times are locked by Rex so as to attempt to determine where he had been. When he came he attempted the install unboxed the lock , and gave up after about 20 mins. He said that somebody else would need to come out and look at the lock since he"did not have the right tools."
A week later and I have still not received a call from Rex and the dial portion of the keypad is not working. I locked out of my safe. Avoid this company if possible.
Called to switch a lock out into a combo that is dial/keypad lock onto a large safe in my home. I have discovered that Rex Lock is knowledgable about safes so they were my very first telephone.
This time the technician showed up but was at least knowledgable. The technician got the lock but could not figure out how to reset the keypad. He also said that a twist that was required to attach the lock was lost by the initial tech. He said that somebody from Rex would call me to finish the job and did get the dial mix working. Until the job was finished, I could now get in and out of my safe.

Had an apt to fix a lock that is broken, Over two weeks I called to confirm someone was coming. Man that came could not fix. A few days later a supervisor came out and looked at it,'' said they might return a third time another day to fix....tech called to confirm my apt to the following day. . .no call, no call still. Would NOT recommend Super unprofessional, in case you're running late text, call or totally fine. . .that's why we provide numbers. NEVER no show someone and not follow up. Moving on to another company because my door is broken and I waited to the initial apt.

Rich W, It appears you were not the only one to have issues with service and techs not displaying without a courtesy call. Others have had the same problems with these guys. I wonder if it was or whether it is just the excuse for manager in the Tracy branch. I am sick of shitty businesses that act as they are doing you some big favor when you call them for a service (don't we cover them?) How rude and self centered not to call you when they KNOW they can't appear in time. I believe that it may say more but if that is how they treat people I would never move there. Because I had been left by them keys before I moved to Rex. This time I had no secret, the code. They told me it would be $125. It changed to $65 when I balked at the purchase price. EasyKeys.com will send me keys for $14 complete.

I won't ever do business with them.
Rex lock & key are terrible. I made a appt. To get a 1 time trip for a quote for security system. Not only did they not show up or even call me to tell me. A man shows up no ID to prove he's from Rex Lock & shoots pictures of my current system. He has not. I called them mgr. Supervisor were to busy to talk with me.

Fast support. They returned to pay for warranty work.

Excellent service. Took a little longer then expected and they did reduce me an extra key for free.

This place was recommended by a hardware store to make a key with the code (amount printed on the main ) instead of the secret because I locked my keys in my apartment when my roommate left and locked the door . They wanted $25 to make a single key!!! I inquired why so expensive, and she only said"that is only our pricing, if you had the secret it'd be $2". I walked right out. I get that it is more expensive to make one but not that much more. I was about half a mile farther down the street made one by the locksmith for $8. Proceed to Concord Locksmith close nice employees and todos santos plaza, way pricing too.

We were frantic and dropped the secrets. We had been advised that a service technician would definitely be there to help us in 1.5 to 2 hours. We waited and waited. Then they phone us when they should of been there to inform us that they would not have the ability to come (we had been just a few miles from their location) until at the first 4pm. The other company charged us an arm & a leg and came out. I called Rex Lock & Safe to whine and also they could of cared less. I guess business is really great for them because of their customer service stinks. If you want speedy service, a deal that is reasonable & helpful customer support, I would not recommend this business.

I think of a locksmith. Until that moment of dread and your stupidity. Thank god for locksmiths. They are the most wonderful people when they are needed by you.
So all my keys, bag, phone, lap top, breast pump with expressed milk....EVERYTHING!!!!!
I lunge for the lock box near our toilets to discover a key for the office to try out every single one rather than find it. I bent the hell out of my secretary's letter opener along with a 25% discount card that our firm was able to give out to clients. This bitch would not budge.
I was with the door locked and shut in my office around 4pm. I was tucked away well hidden from everyone else in their offices.
I'm not positive if the man who came and unlocked my office was named"Rex" but we will only refer to him as such.
You never feel more stupid until the moment that you lock yourself out of some thing. It isn't everyday that others around you or you lock themselves from areas. (If they do, get new friends).
Fantastic customer service very fast without a B.S. relating to it. They are in and they are out, and you are back in. Thank God! Oh and thank"Rex" too.

My secretary thankfully had Rex Lock & Safe on file and thankfully they accept P.O. #'s. THANKFULLY!!!!
"Rex" showed up with in a half hour about a half hour later showing up had the door opened and a brand new lock with 2 keys ready to go. One firmly in the workplace lock box down the hall near the bathrooms and one on my key chain.
Then I decided that I needed to go home so that I remembered to go get my left from the kitchen refrigerator over lunch and piled all my belongings. On my way back in the kitchen Id only pick all of my belongings up and walk out the door.
