Thompson's Bike & Key Shop

Just purchased an old Victorian home and had a few lever guards that we were given no key for. I eliminated them or one and headed down to the place. I thought it was shut but, as I started to walk away, Mr. Terry Thompson looked from nowhere and signaled me . Walking into his shop is like stepping into a scene in the movie. Absolutely wonderful. Lock components, bicycle parts, classic signs, gadgets, etc. . Mr. Thompson and I went to talk for 2 hours about everything imaginable. This guy is a treasure and a character that is true. My sole regret is that I had not come to the shop sooner for any reason in any way. Oh yeah- all the time we are talking, Mr. Thompson crafted me a key by hearing, grinding, or whatever else was needed. I was also given a key for another locks in my home by him. When he was done, he billed me something miniscule and alas I was on my way. I can't wait to find a reason to return.

The proprietor is a man. I called to ask a service to repair my front door lock. He explained the service call would be $65, which I was okay with. But then he asked me what the problem was, and then proceeded to tell me the way to repair it myself. It was a $2.00 repair and he could have charged me $65 only o squirt a dab of graphite in the lock. Next time I need I'll take my business there

Worst service. Was quoted $100 when locksmith showed up to unlock stated it would be 175. Worst customer experience . Were advised an hour took 31/2 hours to display in my home.
