I got locked out of my apartment in the midnight. . When I stepped out in the hallway to check something and the door closed.
They had been the only once who replied to me in adequate time (well I called them around 7am after attempting to call a bunch of different individuals, and their technician eventually showed up at 9am). The serviceman was charging me $300 first, but afterwards haggling there came a little to $200!
Since I had been desperate to get out of this situation and exhaused from spending a night, I paid them $200 and gave up. I enquired at a locksmith that was nearby he explained he does exactly the job for $100!
Where's the 0? - During the last call, the dispatcher insists when that time comes and goes, your telephone system is suddenly not accepting calls from your area code and that his guy is going to probably be there in 20 minutes?
-Never shows up even after you have spoken to the tech in the field and the dispatcher Many times
How do you rate
Not sure which type of company has been run here, but I propose running, not walking, into an choice.
-The dispatcher tells you that you will need to pay on website and then the locksmith in the field calls you before arriving to get you give a credit card number to his"manager" who does not seem anything like the guy in the office that you spoke with, and then gets upset, hangs upon you, keeps you waiting for hours and never reveals even with repeated call backs
I want I can give 0 star if they have,, please do not call this idiots, overcharge and dont understand exactly what they were doing theyself, even if you are looking for locksmith move next one! Dont try this business!!! Uhh never calling this dumb fool people again
We called this company to replace the keyhole. Which sounded significant, when the guy came out that he asked $280 to replace it. He asked for cash, which we hadn't discussed on the phone. Once I asked about paying with a card, I was ready for a high credit card fee , but I was surprised when he said I should head out and struck on an ATM while he mended the lock.
I proceeded downstairs to see if what he asked was fair, and informed him I was going to take 10 minutes to think it . He called me the moment I moved downstairs, where I was asking. Now I had seen the $280 was substantially higher than the average cost for something like this ($100-$200) and felt as though he was attempting to rip off me. I told him I would rather not do it and went back upstairs, to which he replied he could now do it for $255, or I would need to pay an agency fee of $65 for coming out. Possibly, and seeing as he had only been there about 5 minutes at this point, was very rude and abrasive trying to con me, I gave him $25. I didn't have $25 on hand, since I hadn't been thinking about paying cash, so I offered to strike an ATM, at which stage he informed me the company will be giving me a phone, and stormed out.
5 minutes later (a total of 10 minutes later he had entered the home ), a guy from the company called saying they would be happy to come back and the whole thing would cost $185. Now I told them I appreciated the offer, I did not want to deal with the guy. Clearly his time wasn't that"valuable" since he was willing to come back and do the job in a $100 discount.
Demand for cash, and his abrasive attitude felt like red flags, also I did not need to presume the guy tried to rip me off, although I'm no expert on the expense of locks. I told him I would like 10 minutes to think over it. He reacted by saying that the time was too valuable for me to take some time at all to think over it.
Bottom line was completely unprofessional, and the price was high. Anyone selling an excellent product at a reasonable price provides a client 10 minutes without threatening them with service charges to think over the decision.
I live in an apartment that has 2 components within the hallway past door and a front door. The downstairs apartment has been getting revealed to new tenants while I was out without the key for the entrance door along with the door was locked by also the landlord's maintenance crew to the hallway this evening. After failing to get ahold of the maintenance crew, I called Total Security Locksmith. The dispatcher sent out a locksmith to my location and told me he should be able to pick it no difficulty. I agreed since I've needed to use a locksmith before with my friend's apartment with precisely the same lock(simple doorknob lock), very straightforward and quick to pick. The dispatcher said cash or charge card would be accepted.
The locksmith arrives. He introduced himself as"Ben" and proceeded to inspect the lock. He had a poor attitude from the beginning, and was just abrasive. He said he'd need to drill it out and looked at the lock for a second, ruining the lock. He asked him why he couldn't just pick this, and he looked at me like I was dumb and said he did not wish to be out here the whole night and that hours would be taken by choosing the lock. Humoring him, I asked what the fee would be replace the lock and to drill it out , he said it would be 175 to drill it out and yet another $50 for the lock - . Unfortunately for him I knew he was wrong. I declined his offer and did what I probably should have done before calling them I went to the back alley of my construction, scaled the security gate, slid under the fence leading to the rear door of the downstairs apartment(empty and unoccupied) and walked to the door. I made my exit and unlocked the front door from the interior, to which he was perturbed. He told me he would not accept card to get a fee less than $100, to which I replied that's bullshit and had him call back to the office. He came back and angrily took my card, made a carbon copy and gave me a paper receipt saying that the fee was to get its $29.99 service charge. It must be noted that on the 2 areas where the fee was written by him, his two looked very much like sevens so I made sure to add the line to differentiate it. I'll be tracking my bank accounts over the next week or 2 to ensure that $29.99 is ALL that is removed, and I couldn't be annoyed with this man trying to benefit from someone in a challenging spot.
Wish I had read these reviews before I predicted. The quote I got on the telephone was extremely different than what I got when the person came. When I told him I needed the lock replaced he replaced the interior and did not understand. And I paid as much as was quoted. Don't call this place. They are awful.
$423 for 1-hour work. That's exactly what they charged for breaking a broken lock. I wondered whether it's a legit business or they are awaiting the chances to rip off and that don't have enough time to look around for a reasonable market price. What happened was my renters' entry door lock broke around 7pm. I was not. The renters called this company. Total security"bankrupt" the lock & charged $423 only for this (without replacing the lock for sure.) A skilled worker does not even make $400 a day. However $423 for 1 hour job charged and they weren't professional in accordance with my renters. I considered their fee and act is criminal and unethical enjoy. They should not be in business.
