The service took over an hour to fix and unclog and he still honored the original quote. . Scott was extremely professional and knowledgeable yet easy to talk to in laymen terms. .
Living in an old home in Serra Mesa we had the baths backed up and clogged. I contacted Able plumbing and spoke with Scott the proprietor that was patient as I clarified the situation and picked the telephone up. He let me understand that if there was costs and issues he would call and let me know right away and offered me a price over the telephone. .
I will certainly call him with any future issues and recommending him

A girlfriend advocated Able Plumbing personally and he was used by me . In the spring of 2018, my water bills started averaging 100 gallons each day more than ever before (obviously San Diego Public Utilities refused to reread my meter). I called Scott and he checked all although he could but found no response. I was explained by him to Cable Pipe & Leak - nothing was found by them. He insisted that he referred me to some sprinkler firm that found nothing and that it had to be my own sprinklers. I called Scott to come out. Long and short of it was that he angrily and vehemently insisted that it WAS the security system and that if I didn't agree with him, I could"Just find someone else!" He didn't return my phone and stormed off the next day regarding another issue. I.e. he fired me!
Seconds after, there was a"boiling" pool of water in my backyard that was the effect of a busted potable water pipe!

Funny how they say he's a"one person show" but someone who wasn't even on the call is replying to my critique...
I am sure Scott is an superb plumber. I didn't get a chance. I was calling looking for help, I would not be rude but that is what I got in return. You got your story because you weren't on the call combined. You also got it wrong that I hung him up.
I am not one that leaves reviews on yelp frequently, however I felt that this one needed to be done.
I decide to give them a phone, after reading all of the reviews. I phoned and explained the problem we are having. And the man on the phone answer's"uh yeah sure whatever" then fumbles about for some time then asks me to my speech. Together with the lack of professionalism and courtesy I was given only over the phone I would never allow them.

Scott is a plumber! Very professional and fast to respond if not on work. He's done some quite specialty work for us also. You can not go wrong phoning Scott. He's quite friendly and heck... never had to find out what plumbers are renowned for!

Scott is a really good plumber. He's trustworthy and professional. He came a day ahead of the repair to take a look at my shower valvle screwup to find out what he had for the repair. Very wonderful guy and his fixes haven't failed me. Lets say all these other pipes businesses cant even come near Scotts prices. Hes fair's definition. Scott is a superb guy! He came outside to clear that our drain. Very friendly, courteous and prompt. About a week later our drain clogged again as a result of feminine toiletries at our drain AGAIN. He arrived back out promptly and cleared out and didn't even charge me! What a guy! Highly recommended if you want professional service for drain cleaning in San Diego.

Our garbage disposal broke, pipe leaked because having two young kids and unable to utilize the spout?! and I vow Sent out a Yelp request for Scott and attorneys responded. So glad he did because he was personable, prompt, and quite receptive. Replaced our garbage disposal and rid drain. So pleased with his job! Will work with again.

I had the exact same problem with both bathrooms in my property. The water out of the tank has been leaking to the bowl. The parts in the tank were rusted and the distribution lines resulting in the toilets were not in good state.
I thought for certain I would be out a great deal of cash, possibly two or even a new bathroom. Scott came by on a weekend within 30mins of my call and without a rush fee. He told me taught me keep and how to keep them and ended up doing a repair job on both. I not suppose to mention what the project cost, but I was quite pleasantly surprised.

He can charge $95 a trip, so I would clarify the problem with him over the telephone and then be clear about what expectations come out of both ends.
We had the town come in and have a peek at the pressure and they of course did not wish to accept responsibility and suggested that we needed a new regulator and shift two of the valves. Scott also to evaluate the situation and showed up. He was able to isolate a few things and find the main cause of the problem in 20 mins. This was suppose to be a totally free of charge evaluation (because he'd cite over the phone), but since he help us guess out what the problem was, we gave him a bit of cash.
The town had some contractors do pipe function on the road a while back and since then, the water pressure inside our house has been off. Otherwise, We'd get almost no water flowing )

The kitchen discharge was flowing because of a blockage in the drain tube onto the ground under my deck out of the entrance to the trap. I contacted three companies and Able Plumbing was the least expensive of the three and has been available the next day. I made an appointment for the next day using a 9-12 pm window. Brandon had the congestion and showed up at 9:05 am. Brandon was knowledgeable and friendly. There has been a 1 hour minimum charge for the service. I paid $110 and a $6 invoicing fee. I couldn't have been more happy . When I had another plumbing need Competent Plumbing will be called by me .

I phoned Scott before he came out to our property. I asked if he could take the following day care of our plugged kitchen sink. He said he would be out by 10am. As promised he called ahead and arrived in our home. He was very considerate and got the job done. His price was very fair for the job done. He is highly recommended by me!

I was charged $125 for a service call that required 15 minutes and was apparently an easy fix. I pointed out that this was the equivalent of charging $500 per hour and when that was their standard speed...I was told that the fee was per service ( mind you a service which required 15 mins, in and outside the doorway ) and coming into my residence. Even factoring in a reasonable"house call" speed after which an hourly fee still would have been less cash. I would recommend calling about, I was in a pinch and proceeded wit who might come , there are several million plumbers in SD, don't use this one unless you're prepared for an pricing structure!

Among the very honest and respectable tradesman I hired. I would hire him in a second.

Scott has worked on little things we have had go on round the home and couple of times and has always been prompt and amazingly fair with his prices.
He's wonderful and I can't say enough to what great job he does and what great customer service he provides.
