For moving out of their way to assist me huge thanks to Dave and Brian. As other places had lent me upwards to have a technician come out, they saved me a great deal of money and time. It ended up costing over $50. I will definitely be coming back next time.
Upon arrival at the shop, Dave promptly discovered that the latch was broken, so that he offered me a new one and, before sending me on my way, spent a good 15 minutes or so showing me how to reassemble the lock and what items to take under consideration when doing so to ensure it would be working correctly once it had been back together. Of returning into the office within 10 minutes, the lock has been working flawlessly and back together.
The lock one of the doors in my office construction was not working, so I phoned here to view just how much it'd cost to have a technician come out and repair it. The call has been answered by Brian, and he moved out of his way to walk through the full procedure for carrying the lock apart over the phone so I could bring it in the shop myself instead of being required to pay for a technician to come out.

'Go to Berkeley'. He just kept repeating'Go to Berkeley'. Like Berkeley is some thing? He never suggested a specific business,'just go to Berkeley'.
Steer Clear of this'institution'
He proceeded to say that he cannot help. The man said I need to go'big'

I stopped in this retail shop. Door has been secured. Knocked. Waited. Finally a man opened the door. No pleasantries. No character.
I stated that an old back required to be opened. I don't want to tear it open and that I do not require a secret. I just need it opened. The man said that some'tweaker' in to their van and stole some secrets. Keys that might be able to open my back were part of the stolen lot.
A different locksmith and I talked. No issue. This locksmith has been considerate, understanding and professional
A good illustration of how not to treat customers.

Friendly and professional service. I requested to have a new pair of french doors keys created for the doors so I'd have just one key to open all the doors ( I have 5 doors)...
The locksmith arrived at 5:00 pm and he repaired the locks now, my key opens both doors! Excellent service!
A +
Highly recommend

I suppose the service was great enough to get a locksmith's shop, somewhat impersonal, but... it's a locksmith you are talking to, you understand? However, I overcharged and felt over a cone. I've a new car with no dealership in Napa. The dealer in a nearby city needed $60 for the key assembly, a local key shop wanted $50. However, I went , and found myself in Napa that was nearby, figuring with will be about $50.
Yes, I could have walked, but I literally would had to walk.
Nope. $65.

As we were having issues with it, was referred here by a local auto body shop to inquire about a replacement microchipped key for our vehicles. I was advised to talk to Dave.
I attempted to clarify the situation to Dave, but Dave wanted to do all the talking. I asked Dave if he'd come out to the parking lot to see that the issue for himself. Dave told me . I attempted to ask Dave a few more questions, so as to see if we could figure out what the problem was. Dave responds that, for $60, the key could be reprogrammed by him. I again tried to ask Dave some questions concerning the key, however he continued to be terse with me and explained that I should just go to the car dealer.
However, following the interaction I had with Dave now, I will never step foot inside this establishment again, and will spread the word to everyone I know to not patronize this business in the future.
So I got the problem, and did.

Gentleman was eager to find reasons why he couldn't rekey three schlage locks. Not quite professional. He had been concerned about where I had been physically located and he was concerned a real estate manager would meet him. His interrogation went on for a bit when I tired to adapt him and he questioned my answers. "That is not what you said" he advised me. He made a point that they strove to be as"effective" as possible and re-keying our locks in Napa"didn't work for" him??? He never provided a cost or any information however he had been quite forthcoming with his"No's". He wanted to know how he would be compensated and appeared satisfied but unimpressed when I advised him charge card or company check without getting up to pricing. Can't imagine what he would be like if someone really made the mistake of hiring him.

We needed another key to our (gasp!) We went to all the"big box" hardware stores and not one of them can replicate the key. Oh, they would attempt to produce a copy, but it would not work on our car. Eventually my husband went to flourish and Hill Brothers, we had a key. The Man Behind the Counter knew the others managed to do it in no time at all, and had it been able to key or replicate. Thank you Hills for knowing what you are doing and also for doing it.

And"First to Review" and wrote"They've got an wonderful choice of key stock accessible." Which apparently wasn't good enough for a few Yelpers who complained in my brevity and had my review deleted. Over a couple of years later so I shall write more, today. Good thing I keep a copy Reviews just.
The shop has a huge parking lot, therefore it is easy to get in and out. It is right on the corner you can't miss it. As soon as I went in the individual working there was in the trunk and that I had to wait quite a little time to emerge. While I stood there , I noticed that the shop had a choice of essential accessories and keys. On this particular day, the secret that I needed to duplicate was not. Bummer. However, I enjoyed looking at all the coloured keys on counters and the walls.

Came in here with a broken tent trailer essential in my way to go camping (trailer was really hooked up to the truck). Broken key duplicated and three copies created for $11. I was out in 15 minutes. This place is awesome.

Recommend this location!
Went in to get a key made for a weird mini key that Home Depot nor ACE can perform.
They also have more decoration choices, by way of instance, they had each of the sports teams keys invite only one or two.
If you have come here took 1 minute to him to discover the key to create it and it works. And of course that it was more economical compared to the other two stores.
Great business that is small that is little.

Fantastic service! I did not have keys for this and bout a 64 VW Bus. I took all the door handles and locks to them. They were not just able to make keys for me personally, so I just needed 1 key but they reconstruct each the locks. They best part? 10AM did them Wednesday , when I dropped them off at 4PM on a Tuesday!
Friendly, professional. They are highly recommended by me.

I was raised moving here for lock and key demands. Chances are no 1 dose, if they don't have it. Got my RV door key fast and easy and super friendly and helpful support. Shop local

Fantastic place to get a replacement car key cut! Speedy service and inexpensive... highly recommend.

Thank you for helping people get open problems resolved.

Locked Yakima rack system. Can't find the keys! Core won't come out if it's locked, although tried Yakima control key David over at Bicycle Works. Horton's had center out in 2mins! Keys were created and we were on our way.

Excellent support. I think that locksmiths prefer to get to business without conversation and all of the frills, although I noticed other reviewers say they experienced rudeness. If you'd like the job done correct, and call these guys.

A house sat, unlocked and couldn't relock. Phoned Hortons and they
Solved the problem over the phone. Help, would use them.

I used Horton's for three reasons: 1) to substitute locks in a commercial construction, 2) to get copies of keys, and 3) to get a new key to my car (the original was in very poor shape).
3) Car secret was so old that it couldn't be replicated. While waiting for some of the above mentioned keys the person in the counter enabled me to figure out which key I make a duplicate of the factory code, and also needed. I was amazed by how quick and easy that was.
Overall: I would recommend Horton's for almost any lock requirements. Overall they are responsive to customer needs and have a lot to offer, although they may lag somewhat on customer support.
2) I came at their store an hour before closing. So that I left the keys during the 13, had a large order of copies. I had been told once the store opened I could pick them up another day. As soon as I showed up (an hour after the store had opened) they were not ready. When ready, I asked to get a call, but didn't receive one. It didn't bother me: I was thankful they obtained over 60 keys!
1) I called to make an appointment. Within a couple hours the owner called to confirm the place, date, and period scope he'd come. He came within that time period & was very friendly. Walked me through the construction to make sure keys & the new locks worked.

Terribly rude and complete lack of service. The gentleman was impolite and combative as I clarified the prices for a house call. It is by calling, like WE put them out! I called another company and the gentleman was cheaper, efficient and friendly!

Hortons provides support! I phoned their store and had been locked out. Their man Dave was at my home over the hour. Matters weren't as simple as they appeared, but Dave stuck with it. When my overly friendly Chocolate Laboratory was"helping" him. He got us at the house and made that night it safe. He returned the next day, as promised, to finish the job. His fees were reasonable and his experience compare. He brought a sense of calm to some frantic situation.

Returning from holiday I found my luggage lock so damaged that it could not be opened by me and it's an essential part of the situation -- can not simply cut it off. With much effort the Hill brothers new owners of the Napa business, were able to start the lock for me. Then they were able to get the from the power switch's portion on my husband's electric scooter. All this for less than the cost of a single movie ticket into a film. A long-time customer of the prior owners of Horton's, I'm happy to see the business has passed into these hands. They do work and charge very affordable rates.
Fantastic service at a reasonable price.
