I couldn't believe it. I had been asked for feedback, which I believed would've been helpful for a business so as to boost their services, to understand. Rather, I had been told I had been to blame to go over pricing, despite the fact that I clearly had to STOP her without talking the cost, from sending someone over. This negative review might have been a non-review, or a favorable review had been treated with courtesy and honor.
This is exactly what her reply was:
"Labor starts at $45. It was your obligation to do so in the beginning if you wished to discuss. Phone * hangs up
At this point I was fairly satisfied with the final cost (which was exactly what I was SUPPOSED to have been billed to begin with) and the ceremony. I had been in and outside of my home and on my way. I didn't even think about writing a review and was ready to move on with my life. Then I was called back by Marie. The intention seemed nice in that she wished to"check in" on me, and wanted feedback on the entire thing. I advised her that the guy was super quick, but that the cost had been shifted on me 45 to $189, which moving forward it would be nice to let clients know just what the pricing is supposed to be upfront so that there aren't any surprises at the doorway.
I called the office and Marie took the call. Right away she inquired what my address was and wanted to send a BEFORE I had a opportunity to inquire about cost over, As soon as I let her know I had been locked outside. I have called OTHER locksmiths and they have always told me precisely what cost before sending over someone I was to anticipate. I asked what the cost was and stopped her and she quoted me for labor + $15 requested right away what my address was. I had been taken aback by the urge to skip over the payment dialog, but with what seemed to be a sensible cost, I gave my personal advice.
He let me understand that the cost would be $189 for labor, which was absurd, when the tech showed up. I told him exactly what I had been quoted at, and we got down it to $60's amount. This cost conversation actually took far longer to start my lock, which was approximately 30 minutes.
If you would like to call this business for a lockout, I would advise calling locksmiths in the area initially and urge against this business. PRESS THEM for complete price a firm and DO NOT let them send over someone before you have this, if you have to use this business. You may get a cancellation fee once you realize they are currently overcharging, or a $189 invoice when they arrive at your door. In the event the work done was all I reviewed on, this review could easily be 5 stars. The technician was super quick and knew what he was doing. However I had been treated over the telephone before and after arrived, and the misinformation given to me is what is leading to this low inspection.
Absolutely experience as the other 2 individuals. I must have checked yelp instead of just googled it. Was told 15 for support, $45. Technician shows up and looks at it. They realize you do not have many choices early in the day so he writes a little bill. $50 for 3 and service tiers of security starting at $135 going up to $225. I told him I went to call somebody else and no thanks. Immediately got a quote and confirmed it was to have in my house and a last cost. The technician heard me and said he'd do it for $90 from the doorway (pun intended). So took him up on the deal when the locksmith showed up I was worried to get the deal. Paid him he cash and he went. NEVER ONCE did he ask me for identification or anything to put in which also kinda sketched me out. Certainly do not waste your time with this sketchy company. And to top it off. About 15 minutes after the repair, the first office phoned me back and asked me what the last price I paid was... basically felt as though"o how much did we screw this guy" so that they can note how to improve next time.
