Danny was amazing amd came in 20 mins, after locking myself out. Nice expert simple. Thank you!
Having a scary emergency of a door lock that was busted, Danny reacted with a cost and a considerate and very capable repairman. Ely was at my door within half an hour. He replaced a new lock with patience expertise, and care. Thank goodness I had been blessed with professional service!!
Though it is a very small place but they seemed to possess everything. It's a locksmith but they do have everything and even they had what I was searching for. Mostly dusted and older, except keys, however, two workers in the store were willing to assist me.
I like local shops that are small. They provide customer and an attentive service.
Very rude and very nasty. You won't ever get my company! Whomever replies that phone has to be unhappy and angry and it shows on the phone. *Phew* I prevented what might have been a nightmare.
I phoned bc an inner door had been locked by my kid. To begin with they quoted $150 to get it then $200 once they saw a photo. As it turns out, it took a single jab using a screwdriver as I had taken the lock apart myself. But did they go back to $150? No, of course not. But okay, I'd said $200 when I believed it was a job, was fine. So I then asked them if they could place the lever handle back on for me and screw in some screws. They quoted $165 for the"repair." I had to laugh out loud. They upcharge you dependent on the address, but I am not a fool. Can it myself. Only a few screws. My interaction made me miss the times of honest people who didn't attempt to take advantage of you because it's NYC. I guess that I should have known locksmiths are a ripoff but expected this one was different. Nope.
Lastly, the owner (I assume) is sort of a prickly little fellow. After the redo, he aggressively told me my lock was probably an variety. It's a normal Home Depot cylinder which I purchased last month... so yep, that's probably it.
Copying keys for a deadbolt lock cylinder that is basic ought to be automatic if you bill yourself a professional locksmith. For Metropolitan, the job proved to be a bridge too far.
They returned my money once I grew up, but c'mon guys... you are supposed to be the experts ! I don't need to make three trips to no avail for the most basic of services to a locksmith.
Didn't work. I returned and they left another key - which one did not work. Nope, just another useless piece of metal and a waste of a solid hour of walking back and forth to their shop.
The best locksmith at the village. Helpful and trustworthy. Night or day, Danny is your guy!
Locksmithery isn't quite as simple as it looks, and these folks do a good job. They make Medeco keys, which necessitates sanction. They have succeeded in creating keys where others have failed. I'm thinking in particular of Blaustein Hardware, which screwed a key-making task for me. Metropolitan has.
What's this? I'm the first to critique? That is odd, as this place has been in the same location. Admittedly it's a bit out of the way, on a silent part of Seventh Ave., but it always springs to mind when I want some keys created or any esoteric hardware which isn't worth a schlep around Home Depot.
Service is quite good, as befits a hardware/locksmithing emporium that is first-class.
This really is a hardware shop which is, moreover, a locksmith that's capable of making much any conceivable that is essential.
Called them for a new key cylinder. Prompt response, and it was easy to communicate with them through text.
He arrived an hour late, when I phoned his en 22, since he was quite rude, but it is fine. He complained about the stairs of my 5th floor told me I paid a lot to live in my apartment and walk up. The party continued whilst whining about the heat, berated me as he removed my lock. Just don't.
