Called since it was about to get hot Sons and Michael to do a song up. We had great service from scheduling to the technician. 3 parts replaced were recommended by the technician, it was about $650. The supervisor has been unhappy that the guy didn't grab the bigger problem and gave us a refund. We were able to get the bigger problem fixed by our home warranty with a different company.
Overall very good service and firm. We were left feeling well cared for Though it didn't work out perfectly. Would recommend and will be back next time something breaks!

Incredibly expensive! They price by the job, not the hours and they do disclose upfront the cost and ask you to sign an authorization, but it appears they over-estimate the job required and let's face it, just how many of us are technical enough to understand what's required. We also got hit with a huge charge when the job started.
In our instance, we had a toilet replaced, and initially authorized a 600 job (like the toilet), which didn't seem all that unreasonable. But after removing the old toilet, the tech"found a problem" that he maintained was a big job and could take hours to fix (it didn't). Without a toilet on a Friday, what could we do but authorize the job - for which we were charged $1,900 for what equates to approximately four hours work - almost $500mph! And we had to get the toilet separately!
Moral: shop around. You will certainly find plumbers that are good at a fraction of the price.
If you believe of charging from the job, not the hour, about their pricing model, you will be overpaying. So they make a profit on even the most expensive, time-consuming jobs, prices is going to be set. You will always be over-paying for the services unless your job is one of these.

Homeowner beware! My house is under contract and I had an inspection. It was known by the plumber and there was a pipe that had to be restricted at the garage. It had to be carried out, although I had no idea just how much work that would be. Perhaps a bit that is $10 and no longer than 30 minutes. I called the following day to complain and was told that a supervisor would call me back. More than a week later and I can't get anyone to return my phone. YOU will RIP OFF!
UPDATE: Saw this review and it's precisely what happened to me personally:"Extremely pricey! Use as a last resort only. They price by the job, not the hours and they do disclose upfront the cost and ask you to sign an authorization, but it seems they over-estimate the job required and let us face it, just how a lot of us are technical enough to understand what is required".
BTW: the'hinting price adjustment' they offered in their answer to my post was nothing more than a way. Here is the email I received:"I will be pleased to refund 10 percent of the job as a courtesy. I can do it once the review is changed to notate we have spoke and to give a better star rating." Frankly, keep the bucks. I would rather warn people of the dishonest.

I called for support. I was told that the appointment was Sunday involving 1-4. On Sunday saying that they wanted to move the appointment up I got a voicemail while. I phoned back after church and has been told that the technician was sick and they had to proceed to the appointment Monday. Who would wait 48 hours for a bathroom to be plunged?

I was ripped off with the Michael and Son. My Garbage disposal had fixing. The Technician charged me $281 and did 5 minutes of effort, to fix that Garbage Disposal $69 for service call, and $212 for 5 minutes of work. I don't reccomend these folks for not reading the reviews I made a mistake. RE

Maurice, please feel free to contact me. I'd my garbage disposal changed today, for $562.35. It required the tech a little for the replacement/install over an hour. The unit installed, a Badger 5xp sells for $139 at Home Depot. That equates to over $400 in labor costs, for 1.25 hours of labor. I feel that's somewhat unreasonable. . .especially after asking about. I look forward to hearing from you.
Response: Well, we needed the job completed, and your organization simplifies putting clients first. And last I checked, if I'd declined the service, you would have charged me the $69 dispatch fee. So, from my perspective you're winning by charging $69 for free, or overcharging for your work. Justifying a labor rate of $412 to $423 for 1.25 hours of work is a fair request and legitimate point of contention, which you haven't addressed.

Rip off alert. Demand a cost quote / price range before you let them in your home. Or phone.
Follow-up note. After requesting that they reduce the fee from $74 to $29 (their prior cost for an estimate), they instead offered to repay the entire amount. Advice stands. Demand a cost quote / price range for a ceremony before you let them in your home. Or phone another company that will.
Well today he has seen the job quoted about twice what Home Depot or Lowe's would charge to do the same job.
Paid the $69 + tax minimum trip fee today to find out that it costs $275 for Son & Michael to hang a ceiling fan. Asked the office. They don't provide an estimate. "Talk to the technician."
So they had the technician (Joe) phone me and tell me that he couldn't provide a cost nor a cost range until he found that the occupation in person. His"minimum trip fee" would use to any additional costs, and that he has great reviews and he will be"in my side" and that we would be quite pleased with his work.
Some of their customers are happy. Others aren't. I am in the second camp.

I am so disappointed. Son's for over a year as it was a well know business in a country that is unknown and I was working with Michael, we're out of town. We had recently purchased our house and we leased it out because we were not prepared to move to it. Our tenants predicted with problems concerning the water heater. We chose to call sons and Michael and because it appeared to be a reputable firm. I was somewhat surprised by the manner in which the tech handled the appointment, he called to say I was endangering my tenants and that unless I did precisely what he advocated he would need to call the county but if I decided to wait or get another opinion he would need to report me to this county right away. Because the home was bought I was worried for my tenants and I had no idea what the previous owners had done. I also was out of this country and had to trust his words, a"reputable firm". Well we had a brand new heater and everything was running and up. There were several problems in the winter that they came and handled right away. So what is? We moved into our house (four days ago) and since I attempted to install gas in my name, the business denied, why? He was shocked about the cost that I reported we paid and, as the job hadn't ever been scrutinized, the cherry on top, he could NOT put the gas and it leaked that was a danger. Mind you this project was a HALF and A YEAR possible not by us the problems called professional had told me but by THEIR performing!!!!!! I explained what had happened and called the company, not only did they act nonchalant about it, they said they'd send a tech over in a few days. Since I didn't let go of the matter, I also requested them to connect all the supervisor and me and requested an emergency visit. I am saddened by all this because I feel this tech took advantage of this fact that I was miles away and literally ROBBED us blind!!!!! Don't use this company!

Now was my first time using Michael & Son. It was a great experience. Jonathan came out. He walked me through the matter was friendly and supplied numerous choices to me. Once repairs were finished he walked me through everything he had done and answered all my questions.

Tech came out and install apparatus and ductwork, in the process removed my insulating material and did not put it back. When I contacted the company and talked to Maurice Noori (supervisor ) claims that it was never there! That was the most stupid thing I've ever heard! . He was horrible, condescending, and rude. ( he attempts to make up stories as to how the insulation was eliminated as he moved along in the conversation, plenty of rambling and nonsense) I've the recorded conversation as proof! The thermostat isn't working and the unit won't shut off and the temperature reaches 66 degrees when turn on cold days to 73 and 74. The company has done nothing to resolve the issue. Maurice Noori is as he speaks, a liar whom story changes! I sent images of remnants of torn and he sent me images of ductwork within an effort. As soon as I called Maurice Noori with this, he responded saying"we do not have before images! I have the email! I have a comprehensive recording admitting to do (technician"s incompetence) as well! Do anything you feel Maurice Noori, this is your prerogative but I stand by my post. Thank you for calling me by my title you'll never forget it and since now I understand that you know it, will consider it. Additionally,as everyone can see, this is a so-called manager heading forth and back with a former client. WELL done! And I won't continue to stoop to the degree of Maurice Noori,I am well aware of his aims and it won't operate. I won't delete it and stand behind my post .

Had to substitute Htg and A/C unit, so that I got estimates from several companies. This company wasn't the least expensive or most expensive. They talk the talk and that I liked what I heard. A few times you go with your gut and they live up to their name. Very friendly people the installers and both Ryan. Thanls

We have good service from Ryan of both Son and Michael. Our air moved out on Michael and the weekend and Son's sent two guys to fix our Air.

Had a condensate line that is frozen and burnt out condensate pump for those heater causing the heater. I had a technician. The troubleshoot was about $90 and I afterwards googled and found the condensate pump in Home Depot for $50. Meaning I paid about $484 for about an hour of labor and knowledge... I'm thankful for them fixing it because it was just like 15 degrees last night and will be again tonight. They explained things to me were very professional, and was really clean. But I believe I was way overcharged. It emphasized to me I need to learn how to fix things in my own... However, glad to have a working heater tonight... Great, friendly and professional technician. However, the pricing is large.
Update: Was able to speak to the area manager regarding pricing. They've given me a reduction and now I'm a Happy Camper. They are recommended by me. They do good work and do care about their clients.
Been several weeks and haven't received it yet...
Update 6/2016: Never ever received a refund check from Mike. However, was auto-enrolled in their yearly care program where techs come out and tell you just how much more cash you need to invest... Pissed me off so bad I won't actually answer their phone calls now. High-priced scam. They'll diagnose and fix it - but going to just take two pounds of gold out of you. I have since found several great techs that do great jobs at reasonable prices on the list of Angie.

Matt with Michael & Son came to my rescue with a severally clogged drain from the town home we had recently bought. The man wasn't able to come so Matt came. It was getting late on a Saturday evening but Matt worked hard to resolve our problem before it was decided he would require a camera. When he had been able to see what was going on and get the clog 24, he left returned first thing Sunday morning. Matt was amazing and I would recommend him to anyone needing these services.

The supply line had dry rotted and arced inside the box. The always futile Duke power cut our electricity and told us to call an electrician. At the mean time, we had no power in warmth of Summer.
Anthony started work and stayed at our house till about 10:30pm working his ass off to help get our electricity back ASAP.
I was very happy with the work and commitment to getting our power back swiftly.
Anthony arrived on time and was extremely polite and helpful. He provide a quote that was inline with a couple quotes, and he offed that a discount if we graduated today. (which we obviously did since we had no electricity )

Gary T was amazing. He came and recognized the matter. He advised the restoration company to help with the clean up, and resolved the matter.

Professional, courteous and fantastic!
Tech Shane was thorough checking our heating systems. Inform us quotes and pointers. Took the time the diagnose the issue of our gas logs.
Highly recommend

Sorry!!! $660 to put in 4 below cabinet lights which were already wired in, working and up. Wanted them put back up once we removed our tile backsplash!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I paid the $29 for service call charge for quote that was way over priced. Never again. Occupation was to little for you when I booked the appointment, but you ought to have told me. Technician was very pleasant and apologized!! He said that's what he was told to bill and he tried to describe it. BE CAREFUL!!!!!

Do not bother calling them; they do not care for costumers.
Called Michael and Sons first thing to receive our AC checked that was busted and checked. Got voice-mail that day towards the end of the time frame to inform us that they will be there Thursday morning they will not be able to make it! I called them back in hopes of becoming appointment. They said they'll come after all and that mechanic will call us on his way into our house. He did, nobody checked with us on Wednesday and nobody came Thursday morning either! Really, very disappointed and would not recommend it to anybody.

I had a technician called Bruce come out into the restaurant I handle our HVAC unit to be fixed by this afternoon and he was wonderful! He had the problem fixed in under half an hour and was very knowledgable. The service was amazing, I would highly recommend.
