The New District Lock & Hardware

As soon as I called John answered the telephone and lent me the prices of jobs, New District Lock I intended to do. He was knowledgeable friendly and upfront with pricing.
Highly recommend!
The service cost was $85. But in the end, the whole price was fair.
Jerry came out and re-keyed the lock, and put in a lock. He was also and on time very professional, get the tasks done in a method that is very effective.

Jerry was responsive to phone calls and subsequently came just when he said he'd -(no making us wait patiently for hours just like so many other businesses). Then he solved our problem with skill and professionalism.
New District Lock has exactly what you would want in a company that is little : great customer service given by Coleen, and fantastic locksmith work by Jerry. My review 3 years ago holds true today. .

I apologize for only swearing at whomever I was talking to on the phone but I am locked within my house and very disappointed. We had Hardware individuals and the New District Lock - Jerry - put a lock our front door the week and come outside we proceeded in. That locked failed after a few weeks and we predicted New District Lock back. They came out and said we needed a better lock which they set up and we paid for. The key will not turn in the doorway either from the inside or the outside. I called New District Lock and they said they had no one available until tomorrow. We do not have any access other than the door and to climb over an 7 foot fence. We have called an emergency locksmith but may never use The New District Lock & Hardware . Use them at your own risk!

This is a case of who spoke last. I called this company two days to tell about the problem. The next contact was from John who advised me to use. I advised the company that. Because I needed to have access to that door daily the next day , I called another locksmith. That I couldn't wait for that time period, although I can appreciate that this company has a guarantee period. If someone can't keep in mind that I spoke to the company last, please don't accuse me of not even giving a chance to you. My difficulty is resolved, so I don't expect another word.

From into helping me choose a locking system to being resourceful in Locating parts for the inner workings for for an airbnb rekeying my lock John has been incredible. Whenever I need assistance I rely on his great advice and appreciate his comedy. The remainder of the team are great. Highly recommend. You'll never need another service that is lock.

New District Lock and Hardware was in re-keying my condo great. I showed up on time, provided several appointments, phoned them and they were very receptive, and were very knowledgeable and knowledgeable. The locksmith clearly knew exactly what he do and what he talked about. 10/10 would urge again,

I am so happy to have these men in Capitol Hill! The first time that I called Jerry re-keyed all of the locks in our new property and came out. The second time I called, set up a new lock and John came out and helped with a few miscellaneous issues. Both were considerate and upfront .
At the time the service cost was 85. So after they step through your door you are spending at least $85, and whatever work has to be done. It's not inexpensive, but I feel the price tag is worth it since they do really good work and it's supporting a small business.

What a simple clean procedure when I locked myself. The phone was answered by them instantly when I agreed and called . Jerry came on schedule, communicating by telephone in advance. My lock opened in seconds, then fixed it and another lock. Cost was very much in line (or less) than anticipated. I would strongly suggest this family business.

I have been using District Lock since through 1989 ownership and a series of employees changes, through their transition out of a storefront to a support. Through it all, they have been very responsive to all my security demands, along how adjusting doors and providing much needed advise on home workings that were old. They have seen me through a variety of DC homes during almost 30 decades and I haven't found even a nicer group of professionals, or a locksmith company.

These guys are the absolute best! I've used them already and could not be more happy with their prices and solutions. Use them!

Fantastic experience with New District Lock. Arrived in time, diagnosed the problem and analyzed our locks; completed the repair and was pleasant and courteous throughout. Prices seemed reasonable I had contacted.

Would definitely use again. Jerry returned and something was not right with one of the crucial places which was found and didn't charge me. Would use for all my key and lock needs. This seems. They were accessible, friendly, and also that I presume reasonable price wise-- I didn't shop around, I'm generally frugal and the pricing sounded fair for service. (p.s. think Jerry has a beard today, unlike the profile image )
5 STARS! After reviewing yelp reviews, called them. Asked them to entire house once we purchased a home --had several outside doors and 2 gates with locks and some interior locks. Added a deadbolt. Jerry was our man. Very considerate and trustworthy. Liked the way keys were stamped by him so that I knew which was which. Additionally very knowledgable concerning locks.

District Lock was fairly convenient for my needs of locks once I moved to my house. Somewhat pricier than I initially expected but that's because I needed to change a complete door knob. Staff member was fairly friendly and easy going.

I realized I had to rekey my home and just moved into my home. They were rated in Yelp. Service was simple. I got also an ETA and a quote straight away. My locksmith took the opportunity to educate me about what he had to do, known that I'm a new home owner and was great. He even set me up with a single key to my doorways - considerably better compared to eight keys I had before. If I wanted a locksmith services and I would use them.

Really well-priced, professional and fast. Was in to my apartment in a hour of calling them. John worked and was friendly.

On the afternoon of people had a window that is 10-12. They did call to let us know that the locksmith b was held up on a previous job and it would be nearer to noon. They ended up coming to 1.
Creating the appointment was simple. We had a key made for a steel door in our basement. The individual who made the appointment had me go look at the door to determine what kind it was and quoted me a price predicated on them needing to drill the door. We made the appointment. Straightforward.
Afterward, when my husband went to pay money - the locksmith didn't have change so we compensated additional $ 5 to ABV.
They did a good job and my husband explained that the locksmith was professional and friendly and advised him concerning re-keying the locks but these two things did rub me the wrong way. If you're a no money business - you need to make it a point to let customers know in advance and if you're not sure - there is a price range safer than increasing the price when you're on site.
All things considered, I would 100 percent use them again and would recommend them.
I was not present but for whatever reason (even though I had clarified the kind of lock and exactly what we needed) the initial quote went $60.

John out of District Locks came out and Has Been Superb. WARNING - DO NOT CONFUSE DISTRICT LOCK WITH ANOTHER FRAUDULENT COMPANY. We known as a different company that impersonates District Lock, which sent a technician that quoted us! It was a complete con job. Make sure that you call District Lock rather than the fraudulent imposter like we did.
He was fast, efficient, and also the best part was how reasonable the price was - $175 to get 6 locks.

Responsive and Fast. Not super cheap, but not surprising for the area. We have had them out for a variety of issues including Lock changes, knob replacements onto a doorway that kept getting locked out of 1 side, etc. . use .

Responsive, fast . What more could you want? For monthsI kept meaning to go to the hardware store and replace my cheap door handles with better quality ones. But I'd get overwhelmed by choice (colour, brand, how am I supposed to know what's good?) And appeared never to have enough time. These men came to the rescue! Jerry came to my house, showed up on the earlier end of the 2 hour period, attracted a few options (none of which I loved), helped me hunt on Amazon for door handles that could suit the rest of my hardware, and then came back to set up them.

Since moving in, as I hadn't done so I worked with Jerry to receive my doorway rekeyed. Scheduling was rescheduling, and so was incredibly easy. Can not recommend them for great customer service and work!
