Came out over one hour (on a Saturday) to fix our water heater that had gone out. The thermocouple was quickly identified by them as the issue. Quoted for a fix and didn't suggest a replacement as we've encountered with other businesses. The fix was performed in under one hour. Wonderful service!

Here we're back again. Since I bought this tank, it's only been 4 years. Allowed it came with a 6year guarantee. It is not what you ought to expect from a $1380.00 tank. Traditionally,10-15 years is more like it. To boot, $85.00 service charge whether or not it's serviceable.
Bottom line, they needed to fix parts required to make it operate are replaced by &.
I'll use his aid anytime. My wife's happy.

Needed to replace a water heater that was leaking and Payless tech Carlos G came on time. He explained the alternatives on pricing that had a price difference between basic to their Platinum level. I went. It's still expensive but the auto water closed off and leak sensor will prevent potential problems. Carlos is very professional and completed on time.

Good install, technology did solid work. The biggest issue I had was that they told me they had it already and filed for a license. They billed the home warranty and me . They flat out lied, I contacted the license branch of hill and was advised that they didn't receive one.
Four weeks after I get an email that my license was filed and that I needed to have a day to have the license department inspection the water heater. Payless are you really gon na for me taking a day off of work, pay? No
*Updated the inspection to keep the info at the very best of my recollection. *
I wonder how can people paid for permits and"updates" but they were never filed? I feel bad for the elderly that could be charged a premium for permits by these guys and not knowledgeable about this process.
After contacting home warranty instant lie. The office manager of Payless felt like she cared but she had been covering her tail and behaved sweet. They said after the job is done they wait to file permits. Again contacted the local inspector and was advised a license needed to be filed prior to install.

My water heater stopped heating water and developed a flow, so I called this company and I was told that reality that the device was leaking, a technician could return to diagnose the problem.
Long story short, a technician showed up on President's Day at 4pm and spent a hour tinkering then attempted to charge us $500, then 359, then $110 for the the service which was promised to be a free quote visit.Their phone calls are listed therefore there is or should be a record of our call, we didn't consent to pay for a diagnostic visit. Quite disturbing, unsettling and confusing. Bait and switch. Beware of the company!!

They have been efficient and friendly. The one thing I'd have requested was for a telling to state they had been turning off the water therefore can't blame them alone, as some people could have used water;P I believe this fault lies with our landlord. I liked how they also volunteered information/help for the fridge that was also leaking... that we'll fix eventually. I can't talk to the company side (ie. Number of calls, difficulty with scheduling, cost, etc) however, the onsite service was pleasant.

They were closed and I called a few places although my water heater broke down on a holiday. I called they plus Payless sent a crew right away. Carlos G. and Donell were professional, polite and efficient. I received a new water heater. These guys are great and I'd use them again. Thanks Carlos G. and Donell!

After 3 months, there is a small leak. This time I had a completely different experience. Dispatch manager Jennifer is client satisfaction. Really professional. Joel was delivered by her and fix the issue free. It depends on who you handle. Work quality is good but more to enhance in customer charge transparency and communication.

On the day of this job, the tech had been stuck in traffic and I had to wait without communicating for another hour, I had to phone them to find out and that caused me to miss two meetings that day. I told him several times how much my friends spent to get the business done and ask them try to meet with me there since their quote was. After some effort, they came back with a quotation, which was only 20 dollars lower than the quote. And said that is. I left the appointment as I don't want to lose the money I have paid them to give me
Initial discussion was mid year, I had water heater is installed by payless as the old one was lifeless. They did a fantastic job and I was very impressed. Very easy to set up and job was done. Strong 5 star for the job.
After that, I think I made a mistake by not getting more quotes. Every place that I asked gave me a estimate than what I am quoted by Payless for not surprised. Companies were around 40% lower reviewed by all.
I had to cancel my reservation with Payless and ended up picked at another organization and they did the job splendidly. The money I spent Payless for the quotation is gone. The fact that I mentioned several times what I believed was the right quote and they did not try to meet me , and then only when I told them to cancel, they stated they could provide a price match, made me wanted to walk away more. I believed RIPPED OFF. I am a return customer, and at least one company was known by me to my friends, this isn't the way I should be medicated. And I mentioned that no company that I asked charge they did not say anything back.
So, overall, highly recommend for installing a water heater, for the interaction. I was very unhappy about second time and I felt ripped off. Which feels they did not try to make a return client happy. I would never work with them again. Consequently 2 star.
So the next time when my water isn't hot (turned out to be recirculation pump difficulty, I figured out myself). Without getting any quotation, not 100% sure when it's the fault of the waterheater and they were very good the last time, I called them. It turned out to be a mistake.
Payless charges a fee for folks to come to your place to offer a quote even though we are very near to you. Setup was easy again, very professional.

I can't say enough about how professional and considerate Seth was when replacing our water heater. He definitely went the excess mile to make sure he answered all of our questions. When another company had to come and assess our water damage, he helped. Courteous, a fast reaction, competitive pricing, and high quality service.
I'd give them 5 stars, but I love to leave room for improvement. Many thumbs up on this one!

I would never do business with this company.
On Sunday, my hot water went out. They said the challenge is the pilot assembly, they need to fix it and they will give me guarantee. It, everything was fine.... for 24 hours.
Unprofessional company, customer support that is unacceptable.
Making thing worse, the guy on the phone was super rude, he was condescending, didn't listen, and more than prepared to get into a shouting match with the consumers.
On Monday, I dropped hot water . I phoned them and when they came out they stated that the problem was larger than that and they needed to install a new water heater for $1500-$2000. I didn't wish to install a fresh water heaters with them because other areas was quoting much lower cost ($1200-$1400) for a new water heaters. I asked them to refund me back the 429 repair price (minus service charge) from Sunday because their repair didn't treat the ideal root cause. They insist on not giving me back any money even though they promised me that a 1-year guarantee and the thing just worked for 24 hours.

Alex came right on time and was very professional. He installed the water heater with no hiccups and . Great man who was patient with our questions and pleasant to use. We would have preferred having the quote in hand or in email before the install along with the bill in hand or email before paying. Not certain why that didn't happen what appears copacetic and although the cost that is quoted was honored.

Quality of personnel, cleanliness and tidiness of kindness, work and responsiveness - five stars. Honoring prior quotations - five stars. Administrative prices and inflated costs fees to bring up to code - 1 star. I am giving 4 stars because I still think that it's the best price in the city, I think others locally would be same or worse service at same or worse pricing.
Responsive, fast, good quality work. Price ended up being higher than that which was quoted on your telephone, as administrative charge is added by them, and bringing things up is overcharged. So they honored it for its installation A quotation has been given to me within the email before visit which was reduced, but fees were nevertheless an add-on. Swap with another morning appointment and they needed to cancel the first evening appointment, and also provided discount. However, after all reductions, it had been more than initial quotation.
By way of example, placing a copper wire between them and two aluminum clamps prices $125 it is a brand new code to ground supply and return pipes with each other, and I can't feel the substance is expensive.

Being a first time home buyer any repairs provide me anxiety.... Well Seth, our Technician, was phenomenal. He gave a thorough explanation of the solution and taught me about the problem. He was willing to take care of an extra job of eliminating my water softener. He also took his time, didnt hurry anything, and was clean, and clean....hopefully I won't them in the future, but if I do, or even anybody who will require this support, they will be highly suggested.

Professional service!
Will certainly use them again next time I have problems with my unit.
From the purpose of making the appointment my entire experience was positive from beginning to finish. The text message telling is particular appreciated by me with the picture of the technician that came to work in my water heater to bring an extra degree of comfort to me once I answer the door.

Weekend our water heater expired and we thought it'd be hell getting someone fast. . .these men arrived within 15 minutes of our telephone!!! Jonathan was a total pro, clean, considerate and saved money by suggesting to re-use some components instead of the usual"wants new components" which not knowing any better we would've done. Best yet we had another problem I thought was related to fresh water heater and called themthey discharged instantly! How a company handles problems is the best gauge of customer services. Turns out it was my water pressure regulator and me didn't even charge . Aaron the tech was just as impressive. . .GREAT staff and company in my expertise.

All these people work 7 days per week that was a boon because my water heater leak came to my attention late. Mike provided the quote and arrived on Saturday, Alex installed a brand new tankless and came back on Sunday. Everything was done easily and they cleaned up the mess to make my garage appear cleaner than it started out. I would suggest this group with no hesitation.

Respectfully, Daniel at Hayward
Dony and Andrewinstalled a new water heater. They're professional, rough and careful. They replaced an old Home Depot installment that has been amateurish and never near to codes and safety. In addition to their excellent skills, they have been both very personable and courteous. I observed nearly all of their work, nor my observation allowed me to determine their admiration, but to critiquing for my own knowledge! I recommend them for any plumbing wants, and that I shall ask to them! They're ELEVEN, on a one to ten scale, 10 being the best!

After inspecting the website and asking some basic questions, we settled on a cost and Juan got to work straight away. I was surprised that the technicians come prepared and the project has been finished in just two hours. A neighbor two doors away, who was having their hot water heater replaced at the time, used some other firm that took almost four hours and two technicians to complete the job.
I scheduled an appointment five days ahead of time an automated system did as well as the installer showed up over the window countered email and by a reminder text, which I am guessing.
This was not an emergency call due to leakage or a hot water heater failure. Having a recommendation I discovered their service was impeccable from the call.
Juan installed a few pieces tested everything, of wood custom fitted to secure the expansion tank against the wall, and answered all my questions which came up. I could not ask for a better client experience:
The installer was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and openly answered my queries. Installation completed without causing any harm and was finished in a timely manner. And the cost was fair.
Quality of the install was near perfect than that which the builder had completed nine years 20, and completed better. There was A drain pan that was brand new installed--also an expansion tank before -- along with something that I didn't have. Expansion tanks are now required by building code and must be installed if the incoming water system has a backflow check valve (or something similar). Other parts replaced include gas shutoff valve and gas bend lines, the water, and trap. Cost of city permit is contained the quote.

Andrew B came to replace. Our son is quite ill and needed to break, so Andrew kept as quiet and unobtrusive as possible. He was able to do the job, although specs and the location of the task made it somewhat tricky. We would urge Andrew and Payless to anyone!
