Umbrella Locksmith & Security Systems

They're not too incredibly expensive considering that they are on the Upper East Side and they're always good for video or the Snapchat picture. If it's raining this is a great place.
It is possible to stand beneath the awning of the Locksmith, but only when it's raining ever, ever, eh, eh, eh.
Rihanna enjoys this locksmith and I can see why.

These men are rude and unhelpful. They made me a key that did not work and gave severe attitude to me when I ask them to correct the matter. Not only was that the customer support they acted when the crucial was made by them incorrectly, as though it was my fault. Sorry, but that's not the means to do business. Find somewhere else to go.

This company might understand how to drill out a lock where a key was lost, but they do not have the courtesy or decency to clean up after themselves, leaving nice metal shavings for occupants to measure, possibly injuring bare feet or hiking in an apartment and damaging an expensive Persian rug.

Do not go here. Unbelievably rude and unhelpful. Telling me in a condescending tone I want the"card" to replicate my building key since it's"high security". I have a two bedroom flat in an old building and one crucial (for two people) but thanks for telling me something I already knew and allow me to feel like I had been trying to break into my building. Ironic a copy place that is key refuses to replicate my key.

Ami is a gentleman one of providers in NYC. He accommodated new apartment door hardware for interior and outside our apartment so as while matching our interior to match all of the hallway hardware. His installer was respectful after he assured, working around his schedule, and he arrived. I shall use him. Trust him! JLT NYC

The team has been throughout the years to my apartment to install new door knobs and other locksmith service - caliber of work was excellent- cost fair.
The owner, Ami is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
I have been going to Umbrella Locksmith for many years for new and additional keys, New door knobs using lock, accessories for keys-chains, flashlights etc.. Ami the owner and his team are professional and do outstanding work. Very considerate and helpful! The latest trip was June 2018 - had many keys made - all done quickly and correctly.
I suggest Umbrella Locksmith & Security Systems.
I'm posting for my mother Rochelle

We utilized a lock to be installed by Umbrella Locksmith in our apartment front door. Quick, efficient, and friendly support!

Umbrella Locksmith continues to be my"visit" locksmith for the previous 35 years. The owner, Ami, is the nicest and professional locksmith I have ever known. His locksmiths have come to my aid after hours , when I have lost my keys, to open the door without needing to pay for an expensive new lock and replace the keys. Throughout time, he has fixed installed different kinds of locks, locks -courteously and efficiently. Ami has given me the best advice.
I highly suggest Umbrella and think about it the locksmith at NYC!

Please read carefully: this place might have some reviews for their services such as making copies that are key but whatever you do- DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT use them for their services that are locksmith! On the phone they told me $25 service charge plus $19 based on the degree of difficulty of the lock (and 10% for being a first time client whoopie!) They inform me $225 and show up to my apartment and that to use a blood pressure cuff and a screwdriver to pop the door open! I then call the proprietor, Mike (not sure if that is his real name cause he seemed super shady about it) and he informs me to twist off. That's the price and that is it. If I could give this place two stars I would. Shady shady shady shady.

Amazing support! Angel helped me make keys that were tough that I had replicated for my own job. Therefore these kinds of keys are not your ordinary type that may be readily 20, I work in a bank. I tried going to other places but nobody had this kind of hand. Also, this key kind requires permission from a company because they are a"don't replicate" type. Another area I asked told me I needed to leave my originals overnight but these men had a few on hand so I could get them right away as long as I obtained permission from the manager of this bank because these key types can only be duplicated with permission. This locksmith So helpful! I was told by him what I needed in order to get these keys was sweet, was able to get me some copies straight away and made.

Super and very valuable nice support! I left two copies of my key and every was about three bucks!

Next, following Angel - who is in complete contrast friendly and accommodating - stepped in to attempt to assist me, Billy still kept murmuring from the trunk to give me a"regular lock", even though Angel had determined from my image that it was another type I needed. So today, you may add spiteful into his totally unprofessional and off-putting behavior. Be warned!
My superintendent, who proposed that the owner, Ami, would know precisely what lock I needed refered to this locksmith me, given his familiarity with all our building.
Once in the store, because neither of the clerks - Angel or Billy - were certain of what I looked for, the input of Ami was asked for by me. Billy most rudely told me that he wasn't going to bother that the"boss man" with"stupid questions". When I balked at his tone and stated that I didm't think inquiring about a product that their store is devoted to selling is a"stupid question", he insisted that the guy was too busy for my insignificant request, also condescendingly asked what career I had been in, so as to provide me a lecture concerning the proper way to run a small business.
Beware of this totally obnoxious and totally unhelpful attitude of a worker named Billy.

Highly recommend! They are trustworthy, professional, and consistently helpful. I will be using Umbrella Locksmith again!

I stopped to get keys made for my flat. I had been out and in in about 5 minutes! The service was efficient, friendly, and inexpensive!

Very fast and friendly staff. They have everything from lock boxes to end needs for people. If you get my drift :)

After purchasing my new flat I felt it was essential to have the locks changed -- who knows who the owner gave secrets I gave those guys a call and they were effective and quite efficient. Called at a locksmith and the morning was at my door at the agreed-upon time a couple of hours later. Communication before the appointment was great (to coordinate arrival, etc) along with the installation went smoothly. My new locks Both work good and that I was extremely happy with the service. A tad on the pricey side but I have no comparison; I believe they charged me that the"rack rate" that was absolutely fine... I needed the work done, and they did it.

I transferred to a new flat a couple of weeks before, and like your average macho"instruction manual? hah!" 20something I chosen to put in a deadbolt myself. In the center of that, I was able to shear off the head of a Really Tiny But Absolutely Essential Screw on the lock tube, and after seeing essentially every hardware store on the UWS (including the place where I purchased the lock) without success looking for a replacement, I moved on Mul-T-Lock's site and began calling every Manhattan reseller they listed.
I have to give these men a for something the other day, they did for me, although I have not actually availed myself of their locksmith services.
And"um" and"we don't carry that"therefore, I eventually spoke to a friendly person at Umbrella who informed me that they did indeed have the very small screws question, and once I showed up at their door, they not only had the correct screw but gave me among them free-of-charge. If they'd charged me $20 apiece to the damn things I would still be singing their praises, but the fact that they gave me for free pretty much guarantees that in whatever inevitable date I really do lock myself out of my flat those men is going to be the first people I call.

After a failed attempt by copying my keys at Home Depot, I chose to come to Umbrella. Service was careful and quick, the man made 3 sets of keys under 3 min! Perhaps it was the fact that I was loaded on Dayquil, but I swear that it had been an amazing experience. . $8 for 3 secrets, can't beat that?

Both key copies I got from this place worked great (as opposed to the copies I got a couple of days earlier from a different local place). The service was quick and was I charged only $4.25. Highly recommended.
