We moved in to our new home in Catonsville and wished to have a single key for the doors in the home. Kwik-Key was recommended for us and they had been everything guaranteed. Made an appointment for when we had been all available, were there on time and needed strong recommendations for revising our security to increase while being able to stay with a key. A 25 yr guarantee is something the others will not offer, although the locks were a little more expensive than the box shops. Highly suggest calling them when you need only your key to do the job and get a new house.

Fast service and updates on coming time. Made suggestions for various important gave extra tips for security and safety and configurations. Will use again in the long run.

Fantastic shop with superior service and rates. You want. I moved in for a couple auto copies a remote, and a house key copy that was fundamental. They took care of all. There were three team members working with different clients because this is an shop where they do things right the first time and the air is 43, but I'd have waited 30 minutes.
Honestly, even if you just require a key do you really need to wander around a big store looking for support end up What a waste. Proceed to Kwik-Key.

Erik rekeyed my front door and came to my own rowhome. He was made some fixes to the door while he was still here and super helpful.

Very honest people. The guy who answered the phone tried to help and talked to me. He called me later telling me he did fob and research key would not work for my 2017 car although I made an appointment; saving me $ $ $, aggravation and a trip. He'd prices that are fair. I had to call a million places and this was the only honest one. Plus it seems like they have newer technology some areas have been go.

He ended up having to create a secret by analyzing the grooves looking the cylinder down, and filing away at a key. He was educated and friendly throughout this whole process and mentioned that this"old fashioned" way of cutting out a secret is something many new locksmiths don't understand how to do. Decades of experience really paid off.
With an older car, unfortunately, nothing is straightforward. Did my upholstery stink and break among his tools, but there was not any code on the inside of the door lock.
He only charged us his original quotation though this procedure took considerably longer than expected. I have TWO copies of my car key, and that I shall return at Kwik-Key to create 1,000 more--so I will never be in this pickle again!
Kwik-Key Locksmiths is a neighborhood gem that is true.
I lost the secret to my 1984 Mercedes station wagon. Erik, who said the procedure should be straightforward and I spoke and gave me weekday and weekend lockout rates.

I had a great experience. Ihad a demand to get a re-key for an old street lock, also'm a local resident, and also bringing my business here was an excellent experience. The smith was kind, went over and beyond, helping me to navigate my needs, and next actions. I return for locksmith requirements, and will remember the professionalism.

Erik was awesome! He came and changed our deadbolts out and handles. In addition, he found that the construction crew had not set up the plates at the doorway. The door might have been kicked in easily until a rear plate was installed by Erik and drilled 4 inch screws deep. He also set up a peep hole. He's a tradesman that is real. Professional all around good service.

Re-keyed a hundred Year-old lock (that apparently was initially installed upside-down, which
Superb in every way, knowledgeable, professional, efficient, friendly, on-time.
Now actually explains a lot about other quirks in the house!) . I highly suggest Kwik-Key.

Edit: Review updated to 4 stars. Erik (the owner?) The next day called, came over after hoursand fixed the problem at no cost, installing the original lock correctly and replacing screws. He tried to resolve it and also looked at another door dilemma. While it's a shame that my first encounter happened at all, and I'm still out $60 for a screw extractor kit and lock from the hardware store, it is refreshing to find a company go over and beyond to make matters right. Based on these actions, I'd recommend them as an locksmith.
I hired Kwik-Key to rekey the locks. The technician showed up and was polite-hence the two stars- but was not too competent. He changed the lock tanks but was not able to reinstall the lock on the door. As opposed to stop, he strove to force it and stripped both screws then leaving a functioning lock in the door. At this pointhe wanted to charge me for a new lock, rekeying additional labor to fix his error, and the cylinders into the lock that was new, in addition to the lock cylinders that were correctly done. I wound up purchasing a extractor kit and removing the ruined screws then had to purchase a new lock to get the length screws the deadbolt myself. Following this experience, I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for services!

I had the dog . Nothing like a knucklehead move to generate a perfectly good Saturday. . .interesting. Thanks to Eric at Kwik-Key Locksmiths to turn" interesting" into fantastic! It took him about an hour to get here (seven call ahead of me this morning, whew), and he got straight to work, git it done, and was professional and respectful throughout the ordeal. Among the items that are best: no upsale for stuff I didn't need! If you have known as a locksmith until you understand that is a big thing! If you need locksmith, check him out! You won't"emails frustrated!

Locks is pricey stuff, although I have nothing against locksmiths.
If based just on performance, the professionalism of the place is top notch and worth 5 stars.
I haven't hired a locksmith, therefore I have no idea on the prices of changing locks. The -1 star is because I believed it was expensive even though it might not be.
This locksmith did his job properly was knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing to me.

This morning, I phoned around 1030 and someone was at the house of my Grandmother before 1130. It took the man an hr and a half but he managed to get rid of a rusty lock with a key stuck in it. He did what he could to NOT have to remove the door since that would have been double what we paid. He was definitely very effective and very professional man that is young and a nice. We love everything now he did.

Erik showed up on time for our appointment for a new lock. He was very pleasant, worked and is very professional. This place is highly recommended by me!

Eric is a really trustworthy and knowledgeable locksmith. I'd previously used another firm to replace my front door lock that failed in a few years (hint: don't use Baldino's). Eric is a real expert locksmith and managed to not just replace the crap lock the previous firm (hint: Baldino's) installed, however he and re-keyed the locks so I didn't need to replace the keys and then realigned the locks with striker plate in the old doorway jam which is often an annoying problem in older homes like mine. He is somewhat more expensive, however it's worth it to employ a true trade craft professional using a hack. You truly get what you pay for.

I cut an property lock box attached to your handrail, and recently picked Kwik-Key into re-key locks re-program a digital door lock. Additionally, a week later, I had them return to re-key my mailbox. It was. He's a professional and really friendly guy that comes to this work well ready. There wasn't one thing so for all the service's price I'd done, I feel it was well worth it. Please put Kwik-Key near the top of your list if you want a high quality and a job completed on your home in the area. They were also the fastest to respond to Yelp quotes out of the other companies I'd hit up during my search for a locksmith. They will mail you the receipt and take credit card!

They did an extremely great and are educated but they gave me a fuss about the $10 charge card minimal when my total was $9.96.
Seriously although I know why there are CC minimums have some frequent sense.

Erik was right on time for our appointment to rekey the locks of the newly purchased home. He was very pleasant and worked. He explained as he was working, what he was doing. Would recommend!

Erik was in communication throughout the procedure with me and responded to my request for a quote over a quarter hour. He arrived on time and met with our team. Quick reply/great communication, fair prices. Overall customer service that is wonderful. I would certainly recommend.

I had a replacement key for 2013 Honda CRV that was lost and Erik cared for me in thirty minutes! It would have taken me an hour or more at a regional Honda dealership to get this done. He was able to provide an OEM Honda key to me and that he did all for a price than that which traders quoted me. I drove to the shop due to the Yelp testimonials from Silver Spring, MD and it is highly recommended by me. The only problem you could have because it is in the Fell's Point area of Baltimore is finding parking.
