The staff is over the top helpful, even for a $10.00 latch. Thank you. It is Well worth the drive from Seattle.
Wow, large selection, however you've got to have a number (such as the DMV) to speak to someone and they don't list prices on ANYTHING. How am I supposed to shop your selection if you don't have costs. Walk around with a Partners pointing? Google everything that looks remotely interesting...I was blown away in this business model. I spoke to colleagues and a few friends who had been about how ridiculous it was and they joked.
My wife and I recently purchased a house and I wanted all door hardware in addition to new kitchen hardware. Tired of this selection and the large box places I took a trip .
You believe someone would speak up and say that the business must develop into the 21st century, as an employee owned company.
You lost anyone please speak and all my enterprise to as well
Ended up shopping online because the internet retailers have decided that cost points are used by folks as a shopping tool.
I get it in case you are having a lousy day and I feel I can say this since I was in customer service for years, but don't take it out to the client.
It was embarrassing.
From Marysville specifically to proceed here because it is recommended by me, my aunt drove down.
I was always happy with the customer service and am sad to provide this place one star since I've been here many times. Yesterday was different. Katie, the woman who helped us was impatient, impolite, and kept repeating herself when we'd ask questions as if she were speaking to a child. She seemed very annoyed. We were only trying to understand the process of what we needed to do to substituting an old door handle in regards. When she was walking behind my aunt, the last straw, that made me write this review, was, I saw her shake her head and roll her eyes.
Kaitlin is terrific! I was looking for dresser drawer pulls using a distinctive sized bolt. She gave me a few choices to consider. Great customer service!
We had a lock issue that could not be fixed by a different locksmith. The mechanic (Dan) from Builders' Hardware was educated, polite, and comprehensive. The service fee was also quite reasonable. Next time we've lock problems, we are definitely going to ask them again. Highly advised.
We found customer service or that the counter staff to be not very friendly. Wewill likely take our upcoming business to one of them and've had experiences that are better at large box stores.
We placed an order for 18 inch towel bars, but the clerk ordered 24 inch pubs . We failed to observe this on the order form. We were told there could be a 50% restocking fee, when we tried to return the pubs. We found this to be surplus, but rather than argue it was paid by us.
I brought in my mum to help her purchase a brand new front door collection. Mike saved her tens of thousands of dollars by making us aware that her door hardware that was current only wanted a knob! Better still, it had been warrantied! Mike very easily could have made a decent sale off my mother however chose to make a new friend instead! He called later that afternoon for no other reason than to ensure we got the repair kit installed and functioning. Now that is CUSTOMER SERVICE! We'll be coming in this week to select hardware that is new to get brandnew home. Builders Hardware and mike supplies that style customer service which you don't find. We'll be in there now for a project. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
I have had the experience with those people. Still not solved. Purchased a fabrication that they shipped out of country together with the quote of 4-6 weeks turn around time. It has been nearly 4 MONTHS and I don't have my purchase in hand. Granted I looped in his supervisor on although the salesman that assisted me was young and still no resolution. I would not recommend them for orders. They seem a little too full of themselves to bother handling clients with all the respect one would normally expect when laying down hundreds of dollars on a special order product.
We ordered custom door handles from Builder's. Each step of the procedure was painful. They were incompetent. We worked with Kaitlin who just screwing our order up over and over. It had been overdue for this reason therefore. Her supervisor, Mike, got involved but that was pointless. I would expect a supervisor make the situation better and to choose the resigns. He did anything. We needed the asap and had a custom made door, but it had been the wrong rosettes and took and took. My husband and I wager on the delivery to be messed up and it had been. They became a joke. The experience could be a fantastic drinking game, have a shot each time they mess up. ;)
I needed a very old part for a Schlage lock and found Builders Hardware on the net. Pat identified exactly what I needed I sent him and not merely told me exactly what I needed to buy, but gave me the phone number to call even though they couldn't get the part for me! I wish they were in my own city - because if they give great of support over the internet to this I would use them.
They were helpful and that I experienced great customer service. If I had to find something special for my 15, I'd use them again.
I had a fantastic encounter with Builder's Supply. I could not order the bins on the internet and had to get two replacement bins to get a garbage. They were available on the internet in Europe. I brought from the bin along with their employees helped me be sure that I got the bin. It was ordered and arrived in. They allow me to understand it was in and called.
We also paid a contractor to install it in our kitchen and bought hardware for a slider door. For your slider did not match the aluminum shroud. We went back to Builders' Hardware and they said the manufacture shipped the old version shroud cover in with their kit. No problem and they assured me they'd have their buyer call the manufacture first item on Monday. Four months later without a word out of Builders' so we went back. The buyer needs to have missed my note to phone you. OK I said no problem but please have him contact us. Another month went by so I called and left a message. No one returned my phone...
I would like to support business but this is ridiculous!
I was looking for a replacement spring loaded cabinet hinge to substitute the one that broke on our most used door. They worked with contractors and so were sometimes rude, although I had been warned that they might be able to help. The counter person was helpful. He looked at the manufacturers catalog, comprehended that the brand and advised me that it was discontinued. I went, he got me further. He had been among many who advocated Hardwick's Hardware and that turned out to be an excellent recommendation.
DON'T GO HERE IF YOU NEED ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY OR WANT HELPFUL HUMAN INTERACTION! I am restoring copper hinges that are desired and my century kitchen to accommodate hardware. They didn't have any in stock and made ZERO effort to locate any of their vendors. The gal who"helped" me spent about 30 seconds looking at the hardware on screen (I might have done that) then took me to some disinterested manager working in a computer who appeared at me, said"no", and went back to work. Nobody thank you for coming in or said sorry, they allow me to walk out. So I went to LOWE'S on Aurora and 125th where a guy named Craig helped me locate them online. GO SEE CRAIG AT LOWE'S!
After a rash of forced entry robberies in my area were staged via garden windows in broad daylight I hired a carpenter to fence off my yard.
My carpenter suggested I contact Builders' Hardware for the door handles and a deadlocks. I spoke with Builders' customer support on the telephone, and after a couple of emails with photos of handles I discovered that the design I wanted. I put my order and was informed that the parts I ordered were on clearance with pricing. :-RRB-:-RRB- The other perk was they re-keyed the guards so I just have to carry one key to get my home and garden, I purchased to work together with my house key.
So they said they had another problem with the manufacturer and that I did have to call bullshit.
Well done in that regard and I would suggest them.
Got a sales supervisor on the phone, told me the whole story which I wanted someone to take possession of my purchase. He apologized, was actually on the ball, followed the sequence through to completion and gave me a sweet reduction.
I called them and they had precisely what I needed and saved my a$$!! Each the folks I dealt with were really nice. I would recommend this company.
When some parts I'd delivered over for a job I worked showed up was in a major bind today. Being from out of town I was not sure where, locally, to turn. Luckily I found Builder's Hardware on Google that led me.

The support is unprofessional and slow although I love their products. I got erroneous quote on not or if the items are in stock, and delivery took as long as that which I had been told.
Shops with salespeople who understand their business are priceless, when you want a specialist opinion, although I really like the convenience of buying things online. Builders' Hardware is one of those stores!
We needed to get some hardware for it and purchased an exterior door - no issue, we thought, the world wide web has everything! Well, it turns out that buying hardware is a lot more complex than we understood, but we understood what we wanted and went to Builders' Hardware. We explained we were pointed by the salesman to precisely what we wanted, explained some of the characteristics, advocated one manufacturer over another and what we were looking for, as well as the cost was substantially less than that which our internet research revealed.
Considering that the showroom environment of this shop Builder's Supply it would be simple for a customer to get frustrated and order the item over the net. That will be unfortunate.
This ought to be the go-to place for neighborhood hardware and also a excellent way. Each time I move in I must take WAIT and a number. Where one needs to wait for a salesperson, I can not think of any other retail experience. I left after 15 minutes Now.
