Yay for Basics Plus, who've container and any dwelling gadget you would ever want. It is a place to visit with a budget, since you drift you'll get all kinds of things that are useful.
They sell everything from dorm essentials to eco-friendly and high-end machines, and thy duplicate keys and sharpen knives also. And there is a smoothie and juice bar.
I spent $100 on two glass cleaning brushes a drain strainer, a soup serving spoon, a bath squeegee, 11 containers, compressed air, wood adhesive, a ramekin, and 100 tea lights. And I'll be using it all.
Minus one star because, though they do not indicate most stuff up more than you would expect from a shop that's gotta pay Union Square lease, I did find a coffee grinder which was twice as expensive as I discovered online (it had been discontinued). When it comes to purchases that are bigger, do a phone price check. . .anywhere however Amazon.
Too pricey 100% mock on everything. . $4.90 on Amazon.
Not sad to see shop closure. . Currently items due to store closing are pricey. .
If you are in a rush go for it but don't say you were not warned. Don't forget to perform a price check. Some instances over priced are intentionally mocked up along with other or deliberately.
Basics Plus will sell it what the $%$#

Fundamental is one of my favorite place to shop. The staff and their inventory its Amazing is very knowledgeable about their merchandise.
The staff was fantastic, made my keys in under 5 minutes, were quite friendly and professional. I had been in and out, along with my keys worked fantastic!
Two reasons for five Celebrities:2. Every Mrs. Meyers scent you might desire!
Totally confused by the evaluation.
1. The key copying service is very quick and cheap (only had four keys created for $11 in under 5 minutes)
Cool location! I stumbled across this place following brunch nearby. I needed a new gasket for my Bialetti stovetop espresso maker (which I use daily). They were! In plain sight and not hidden someplace to be difficult to discover.
I wandered around and saw they're quirky additions to your property, and chock-full of necessities.
If I'm in the region, I return.
Crappy customer service. Bought an umbrella and didnt like how it served. Since I opened it that the guy said he could not take it back (guy with thick emphasis ). He was dismissive and didnt try to work for an exchange together with me. The umbrella was hard to close and I have two blood blisters. He said,"No, get out of this " he will change for the better, although Perhaps they treat people like this where he is from!
It is fine but pricey, So far as purchasing home products here.
They possess a backup service they did a good job and that I used once.
I brought my vacuum cleaner here for fix since the vacuum maker advocated basics plus as an authorized repair service. They have the job done although it was not cheap and it works fine today.
Fantastic service from Javier and Kelsey by a store that had polices and a employees a number of years back. I just spent an hour attempting to provide a five star review, since the store isn't recorded on yelp, although I want the store that the very best. You receive nothing, if you set in store address. Since it isn't recorded under Union Square or andUniversity Location or Place you have to do a big search. Instead it's obscured by list it"serving Ny and surrounding areas So they aren't receiving the great reviews since it's to complicated finding where to review. Javier and Kelsy are to great for this weirdly managed store.
Be sure to decide to purchase it or be ready to get assaulted with comments, if your going to keep there.
AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.
Came here with a friend to get a keys photocopied sometime in July/ August. Handed prior to requesting the to keys and it was $3 per essential. In chinatown you can get it to get .75 cents. Its a key, definitely not going to pay $3 to get a backup that is vital. Anyway the Spanish bald guy makes a comment about visit the Bronx then it's just .25cents. Like actually, was that remark necessary. So needless to say I called him an a***hole and his response, oh I am just saying. No, you did not have to say anything or create any comments, except keep your comments to yourself shut. - courtesy. Just take some etiquette courses.
No stars! Yelp get with it, why should a place receive any kind recognition for customer service that is horrible?
As I walked to the store I like how you can find millions of things. I didn't want to stay to the store. Two individuals helped me that every understood information on the vacuum cleaner that I wanted.
Became a complete fan of this place.
The selection is better than the previous store, as is the customer support.
I'm excited this store is here.
So, I had been mad when'Surprise! Surprise!' closed.
Apparently, there is another basics plus store in gramercy.
They triumph @ life.
I understood another home goods store had to be in the region.
They've made my list so they have my company next time even though I did not get anything this time I'm making home improvements.
Disclaimer: I did find what I was looking for since I had a especially sized nail. But, I was blown away by the service. Not only was everybody which I interacted with pleasant, they were very useful, even and causing me going through the shelves with me to find the pieces. And their prices seemed reasonable.
Until wanted some materials to complete a job at 19, I didn't get off work. Despite the below average testimonials, I was desperate and basics was the only place open and hopped over.
At which the help is respectful and attentive of their customers, I will go to the store on 3rd.
I am not surprised but infuriated I followed, was profiled closely and accused of stealing as I noticed there is another inspection by Christina. I won't ever shop in the store. Ironically I live a block away on Union Square South.
Even tho it states closes at 10, don't get there in 950 coz un won't be let by them in - no matter what. Way to lose a fast sale. Why don't you work until 10 and then lock up?
Also once purchased a toaster that didn't work. Went back to return it, and tried the toasters in store with all the staff. Not just one toaster of that brand functioned.
BASICS PLUS, I'd suggest that these rules are clearly indicated by you on your return policy so as to not lose well-meaning customers having the potential of going back. As you describe I would also recommend that you treat your customers and respect.
When I attempted to come back a bathmat in brand-new state the manager would not take it since it was a sale item. When I bought it, and also about the day I went to reunite and the product was available, there was no tagging about this being a last sale. The item still had its tag and was never utilized. Once I decided, the manager said they don't take bathmats back because of reasons and then seemed to come up with a different reason immediately. This was not written anywhere in the yield policy nor was it was indicated anywhere in the shop.
I doubt I'll go back, although not and I truly wanted to support a local store simply buy my home equipment at a huge series.
The manager revealed animus tone and language towards me. Perhaps he thought,'Oh, just another Latino/a returning things.' Granted, he didn't say this and I could not read his thoughts, but that is. I left feeling like I was not welcome there. No issue, because I will not be returning. I expect, for the sake of this business, the other locations have better individuals.
This location has a fantastic choice of goods, but I am offering them one star because of customer support.
But all in all, I would return.
Service was great but the food was mediocre. Glue's jars were divine although the screws were seriously under cooked. I don't think they do their own cooking in the trunk. All of the L brackets definitely came. You anticipate a certain amount of familiarity that is personalized when you visit a local mom and pop institution like this. The hardware here was definitely not made just for me personally.
