Than any hardware shop I have ever been in, these men could not be more helpful and more honest. They even have local men that can help you with plumbing or electric etc., their rates are very reasonable considering it is a small shop.

I had a Torx 6 screwdriver to unscrew the back of a laptop I had bought so that I called the store and they affirmed that they had it. Employee went into the store and assisted me #1 who handed me the screwdriver and I went two blocks away to see whether it'd fit. Unfortunately it did not, so I went back into the store ten minutes afterwards.
It was unfortunate that the store would not permit me to return a $5 screwdriver for store credit to purchase a pricier alternative. I utilized it for a second and bought the screwdriver ten minutes before thread. The screwdriver came in the original condition that it had been sold to me. Terrible customer service and definitely not a way to retain customers that are trying to support the store.
I bring my laptop to determine whether they may possibly help me. I inform the Boss the screwdriver did not fit and I had been wondering whether he'd be able to help. He responds"You called concerning the Torx 6 and you have it, why are you back?" I explain again and Employee #1 begins bringing Torx screwdriver sets that had a number of sizes which would be useful for me out. I request a refund for the screwdriver I bought as my father has gotten refunds from this store before. The Boss tells me that was totally fine as I wanted to swap the instrument that I used to check if it'd fit in the screw and no refunds are allowed. Worker #2 queries me about obtaining a refund and inspects the instrument and says that its"utilized". I explain that I bought the instrument only ten minutes before and that I wanted to have store credit I could purchase a screwdriver set that Employee #1 had brought out. I point it out says that store credit was allowed. Both employees do not really react and among them says its up. The Boss refuses to give me store credit to purchase the set.

All in all good experience. Shop was quite tight but had a lot of supplies to get a store that size. Most of the folks I met were quite favorable. Only reason I took of one start was because one individual grabbed my phone it had been too much of a diversion for him and because it rang. I'm speaking about the ring. I was stunned.
Now I got that out of my system. I will definitely be using this place as a back up but one man is a bit scary and infuriating

Other reviews say their prices are high it was the same as home depot.
Went here on a whim to try and avert a trip and it was worth it. I wanted pipes cut and threaded; they had exactly what I needed and could reduce it at to on the pipe/thread, despite being a tiny spot. In and out in 20 minutes while at Home Depot the machine was broken and stock was limited.

The man told me to get these converters for my trip and said I could return for store credit no problem. When I came back they informed me and had been rude electronics treated me horribly and aren't permitted.

The mirror was broken by my co worker off the pole not 10 minutes later I handed it. Gently ripped mirror off joints. Don't ask me ? Any who they cut keys which came in handy cause I needed you for my job.
Pretty expensive hardware store but I understand it is because of location. Have come here a few times in a rush. One time for keys and a telescopic mirror.
They had the telescopic mirror at which you can't see, which I needed for concealed space. I could not wait also order it on amazon needed it yesterday.
Service was friendly and quick plus they take debit or credit cards. Hard to find dependable hardware store downtown.

They have a hardware selection and while I would like to like this shop, their declining service and no-refund return policy that is current make this difficult. On a visit last Saturday, Feb 2, 2019 we got into the shop at 4:45pm. Signs posted indicated a 5pm closed but staff were out with dividers down half way. Asked a gentleman outside, he asked somebody inside and we had been"permitted" in. Needed to exchange a bulb which buy and didn't match an S-hook. There went A friendly sales person down to obtain the S-hook, and I asked the gent when he could point me. His answer"the other man is assisting you I simply use the register" as he played with his phone. Into shouting at us about how there is something wrong with my 15, quickly escalated. Insult to injury we left with a $10"shop coupon" rather than credit card refund to get a sealed, unopened bulb exchanged from a day prior. Hope @Alex P. is reading and will react to some fellow Ryders Alley member that has frequented this shop for several years.

4 stars only because Prices can be pretty high (with occasionally 200% markup) but to be expected for This Kind of situation - Miles and miles better than their closest competitor -basics plus
Love these guys!
Always helpful, humorous and sweet
Plus cuts for jobs have timber and do

Also have a fantastic variety of every hardware thing and decently priced you need for your mat.
I adore these guys. Super friendly and useful every time I've stopped by - they'll always ask you if you need so you're not wandering aimlessly around the shop, assistance.

FIFTH, when Employee C explained, there was a lot of HOSTILITY. I felt VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. At that point, I wished to leave, but I had a feeling that if I don't pay for the keys, then they won't give me my keys . This kind of customer service is UNACCEPTABLE and RIDICULOUS.
To begin with I walked all the way to the store in the cold due to the price we supported on the telephone.
FOURTH SC# doesn't allow me to understand why different prices are charging. Telling me other areas charges that you charge $25 or $50 for some keys still doesn't resolve the issue at hand, that you are charging me MORE than I was promised (in the shop )
THIRD, if I had understood they were going to charge me additional prices other than $0.75, '' I would have to STOP them from creating the keys and moved elsewhere. I DO NOT want to conduct business although I understand that this place could be more economical. That is currently DECEIVING!!!
But the service and customer service in this area is TERRIBLE.
SECOND, if there was first an issue with the price tag, worker B stated when $0.75 was exactly what I was told then it's $0.75.
My manager called the store to ask for the purchase price of making keys. Apparently, she stated $0.95 but I heard $0.75. When I got to the store, I gave Employee A the keys, then I realized I should make sure it was the price they told us. Employee A says it's $1.25 so I told him we were told $0.75 on the telephone. Employee A asked worker B. Employee B concluded that if this was what I was told then it's $0.75. STILL, nowhere in the dialogue they mentioned keys that are distinct costs different price. So about keys assumes that all keys are the exact same price. They continued producing the keys since I thought I was going to pay $0.75 per key. When I was going to PAY, worker C attempts to explain to me the STARTING price is $0.95 and never $0.75. He explained that key SC# costs $0.95 and key SC# costs $1.25. He goes on describing that they cost $25 or $50 for some keys and just how much it costs to make keys in other shops in Manhattan.
Yes, they do charge more economical. But the issue I have with this store is how they treated their customers and how they did business.

Wonderful staff. Helpful and communicative way. When I called them the next day to check on part to order, they said"we attempted to see whether we can fix it, I really don't think you can though. Can you check if it's under warranty? Every time they said somethingthey followed perfectly, and they actually put thought into how to provide service. Awesome staff.

Kindest staff . I had been in and out in under 5 minutes, and they left me 8 keys! Reasonable prices too.

Enjoy their service.
Needed to replicate my apartment key. It took 1 dollar and 5 minutes.

The CC minimum was $5.
I arrived about 20 minutes until they closed and asked if they can make a copy of my key. The guys which were working were really nice and were joking around with me since they could tell I had. I requested to create 2 keys and they did it in about 5 minutes.
If you're seeking something particular, don't bother looking for it, simply ask them to point to wherever it is. The place is fairly packed and therefore so small .

Consistently SO helpful. Your staff goes above and beyond to be useful and make sure they not only get you what you request, but that it's actually what you want I go in here. Now I was helped by Glen (I believe that is how he introduced himself to somebody on the telephone ), who went above and beyond. Totally recommend this store to anyone who wants something for their project.

I am so glad this place is different are not really any other options from the area. Some store small but they appear to cram everything you need it to one adorable little store.

Super quick service. Small place but it's jammed packed in there. You'll probably Have the Ability to find whatever you'll need in there haha
I needed to make a copy of my keys and get a ID clear pouch for my work badge. I walked and walked out with a spade and a secret.

I had a secret which I took to get replicated. So no one could help me with 13, it was an odd size. I eventually took it and they made me two copies in under 5 minutes. They seem to have everything and the staff is actually friendly.

It's actually a complete hardware supply shops, Even though the majority of the testimonials were all about duplicating keys. Friendly staffs are always eager to assist. Cost is reasonable in the FiDi region. Will definitely go back if need any hardware solutions.

I was looking to receive my apartment keys and this place did it in about a minute! Each crucial price $0.98 to copy since they were the most elementary kind of key. (Price will vary depending on kind of key) Such a great price considering crucial kiosks situated inside CVS or Rite Aid will cost upwards of $6 a copy.
The shop itself is a little crowded and the aisles are modest, but I was able to get exactly what I needed efficiently and very quickly. Storefront isn't hard to miss so keep your eyes peeled!
