Bob's Lock & Cycle

We took the bike over to Bob's and my husbands work was fine-tuned by him.
As other's have said, Bob is also a lawn mower mechanic and a locksmith he must be handy to have around the house:-RRB- I do not think my husband is quite as ambitious to repair our lawn mower and he will probably be less likely to volunteer to repair anything else once he reads my review....but for the album, I value him and his willingness to repair things....but I am glad to find copies in South Phoenix when we want them!
A road downtown was traveling -- one we've taken numerous times down Central Ave in South Phoenix. I noticed the store front on Central (North of Southern on the East side of Central) and I left a note to check it out since we frequently travel to Chandler or Downtown Phoenix to receive our bikes tuned up or fixed.
My note payed off shortly after Christmas. "Santa" brought our son a new mountain bike for Christmas along with my husband put the bike together. Mechanisms is not his forte, although I don't want to appear ungrateful for my husband's efforts. A few weeks of riding the bike and everything started to go haywire - including recovery and the brakes.
Note: Parking is somewhat confusing -- you kind of park in a driveway off Central. I considered dropping the score to because the parking is really a nuisance.

Our Dad passed away. Our family had a Uhaul. His place was our designated fall off. We were an hour late, and an additional full day, he refused to work together with us and wished to charge. My Sister talked to him. She apparently called him Dude, and is young. Well, when I tried attractive to a human kindness side. He explained if my sister hadn't referred to him as a Dudehe would be more helpful. He said, I am a Man not a Dude. Fundamentally we discovered and called another fall off that was generous, and kind. They took the Uhaul back without any fees, and customer services. Bob is not a Man, not a Dude, he is a complete Rude, inconsiderate jerk! If not own a company, of what customer service is!!! total absence Zero stars...

This place is great. I found it by chance as a repair shop for an electric razor scooter I bought. The owner is old school and he has carved out a nice little business for himself. Definitely a local small company. An enjoyable and great service experience.

Now I understand the reviews are all low. I called to learn how much it'd cost to replace the running stroller tire tubs since they not held air and the guy in the telephone was condescending and rude! I will take my business elsewhere and have no desire the worse customer support by telephone no have to go there in person.

I called and ask if they can help me. Then five minutes after coming I had. Could not be happier

If you want it done right the first time, I've only excellent things to say about this location. I took my weedeater bob, because of not beginning had it checked out and repaired the exact same day at a fair cost. And he gave me a fantastic deal on a mower. Please encourage your regional mom and pops companies.

According to recommendation from producer I fell off my pressure washer for repair once the engine ran perfectly but the pump seemed to be a problem. After not hearing back for 2 months for inquiring if my pressure washer has been prepared, I called and seemed to irritate the person. They asked if somebody told me it was prepared and called me and I said no. I guess that their attempt to make me feel like a jerk for calling.At I had been at least told my pump was poor and they ordered a pump.... It would be about another week. Another week passed and no update.... Followed by a second week once I went and called through the routine. The 3rd time I called, after a month since I fell the washer off, I had been told the"only got the new pump today". How convenient. I picked up my washer and told the warranty covered the charges so I thought that was fantastic and also a fantastic sign. This is where it get - I hooked up my pressure washer once I got home, fired up the engine, and guess what???? My guess is that no work was ever done. When he gave me no paperwork since they didn't charge me anything I wasn't worried but in hindsight it was apparent they didn't need my company and wanted to do away with me. As with other reviews the communication their service than inferior and was terrible. A few places in the valley to get engine repair that I will use for future needs.

They do not even deserve 1 star. Horrible customer support with workers that are worst. Don't waste your time coming with this shake.

Unfortunately, their search hours are not listed anywhere. Calling their number says open on Saturdays at 8am in case you are calling during business hours, and to call back. Went open and back at 10 am. Still nobody answering telephone. What happening guys? I am trying to offer you business here geez.
They really understand what they're doing when it comes look like nice men and women.

Before Christmas, I took my son's in since it was not running, Go-Ped. I had attempted to rebuild the carb with a kit from another store which is closed and had given components to me.
I might need to keep looking for a reliable small engine mechanic. I've two lawn mowers, weed eater, and mill and an 11 yo's Go-Ped that need work.
They seemed nice enough when I went and they explained a few days would be required for repair. Additionally, I asked them to see about replacing two board screws and the bushings. They called a few days later and I went in to observe a $142 bill. I am told that they put a couple of hours into trying to correct the carbohydrate only to replace it in addition to the salvaged screws and bushings they had been charging me $7.50 for. Then I am told,"well if you had asked us to call before replacing anything, we'd have."
My difficulty is that we didn't discuss. I understand markups. Then when I have money, I shall gladly cover the work that was done and either wait to cover the price if you tell me I might need to replace the carbohydrate or I'll do it myself.

And good advice!
They've got some bike components, some bikes, keys, and it seems like the previous reviewer said- garden components & some mill?
How many places can you go get spare keys made AND talk with someone about bike parts? I purchased keys AND obtained some brake & shifter cables for a bike I got at the thrift store.

I've had my mower serviced twice at Bob's; new filter, oil change , spark plug alteration and sharpening. My next visit I requested them to adjust my drive motor - they forgot to do. That's not great but at least I had my mower for the weekend's big home tour. Absent have given four stars to them. Remember this place is really basic, more than a bit cluttered and in a crappy part of town. Nevertheless, it's about getting your equipment back in a reasonable amount of time and at that respect Bob's stands. If you live near downtown this needs to be your go-to place for equipment repair.
If you've been to some repair stores before you won't be surprised by the environment. Otherwise, do not be turned off by the assorted components, old generators and overall decrepitude. Saw or mower repaired Bob's is a fantastic spot to go to Should you need your chain. The work is great and most importantly, it's done quickly. You are going to get a two or three-day turnaround at Bob's vs. per week plus at the other repair shops. Because in the event that you depend on your equipment you need it done FAST, that is a plus.
