Pop-A-Lock

Pop-A-Lock was set in 1991 by two law enforcement officers in Lafayette, Louisiana. The company was founded on fairness, hard work, and a dedication to the community. Since we think the nation is entitled to locksmith services pop-A-Lock has been growing since 91 and is not likely to stop.

I was directed to Pop-A-Lock Through Honda Roadside Assistance at 9:30 pm on a weeknight. I was told the wait may be up to an hour. Geraldo wasn't on the clock when the call came in, but he discovered that the other accessible technicians were nowhere near meso he came and got there within minutes that are EIGHT. It was amazing how quickly he got there. It's wonderful to see a company that goes above and beyond. Within another few minutes, the vehicle had been jumped by him. He was professional and friendly. The cost was covered by Honda, so that I can't weigh in on pricing, but I recommend Pop-A-Lock.

Geraldo from PopALock arrived to jumpstart my car immediately with a grin and professionalism. I am with StateFarm, UT and they made agreements and that I was quite happy and appreciative of the customer service to me, when I called my insurance to report my issue. I'd like to thank PopALock into the rescue especially.

On 9/12/17, I locked my keys. I called my insurer who contacted Pop-A-Lock along with the service provided was efficient and speedy. The gentleman came in a timely way and was very kind and considerate. This was during the time of Hurricane Irma so it was greatly valued. Lisa T

Great service! Quite reliable that are reputable. Don't bother with other fly by night companies that work in their own time while you sit out your home counting sheep till they show up.

Didn't even have the key for the vehicle. Said 199.99 on the phone and once the driver shows he says 289.99. "Amazing service" HELL NO!!!!!!

So be aware that should they give you a quote that is minimal, it very well may be false advertisements. I will NEVER call this company.
Called around to 4 different places for an estimate to come and unlock my secrets out of my vehicle. I phoned Pop A Lock and they informed me the prices began at $29.95 so that I told them to go ahead and come outside to unlock my keys. After the technician got here, '' he advised me that the cost would be $84.99. When I questioned him, he asked how I'd be paying saying that the minimum cost is $54.99 and the $29.95 was the support call.

Forget the naysayers. This firm was fast and very professional. Kevin was really nice and I believed it was a great experince. I know how to change my tire, but know the tools I had would have taken an hour and that I could have risked because it has been over a long time since I changed a tire messing around the frame of the car.

Tried to get a quotation that is simple to alter one lock but they apparently had no locksmith on duty to be able to offer this quote. I'm not certain how they can claim for a service supplier when they cannot even supply a simple quote for 72 hours.

Really excellent support. I locked myself on Sunday afternoon, they shipped a Lock to get me to Pop and while visiting Tampa so contacted Hyundai Roadside Assistance. Tony arrived well within the time frame, fast, courteous support!!!

I phoned Pop a lock to get a key since the I've won't turn over in my ignition 24, programmed. Don't service Wesley or Odessa Chapel. She did not know where I could go to get help she explained, when I asked her. I stated that I could drive to the location where a soda there is a lock employee located to get help and she explained that she couldn't assist me. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had!

Is never a one.
The client service representative said 30-45 minutes when the technician actually took around an hour. I called upon the 45-minute markers to check on the status while I was on hold, and the representative known as the tech. She told me he was running behind on a different job and would call me soon. Over the upcoming few moments, the tech calledtold me of his scenario, and let me know he would provide me. . .which is the reason I am providing a 5-star review in contrast with a 4-star. He might have been running but he left it right. I got a text message which allowed me to see his place in real time, after hanging with the tech.
I was pleased to find Pop-A-Lock when I was in a jam. . .or instead if my lock was in a jam.
Upon arrival, the tech was friendly, professional, and unlocked my car. I would recommend Pop-A-Lock!

I remember the olden days (because I'm olden, I guess).
I have done it more than a few times.
In the cases where they did, evaluations are high. In the cases where they didn't get it done, or at least not satisfactorily, the ratings are lower.
Pop-A-Lock takes money and credit cards - . They text or could email you your receipt. While I don't necessarily"need" to use them again, I won't wait to do so should the need arise.
I had been quoted a wait and it was about 15 minutes. Ben arrived at the correct place and apologized for not calling me. He got the job done in a few minutes without trouble and was personable, professional. He clarified what might have happened to have caused it as a way to help me stop it.
You would lock your keys in your car. Your friend would try to use a coat hanger to break into your car. Sometimes, it would get the job done. It would not work.
Pop-A-Lock does business locks, automobile, and residential. Indeed, the industry has changed dramatically with tools to handle the task in about the same amount of time but with less likelihood of automobile damage. Oddly enough, perhaps due to the arrival of expanded business opportunities and web-based advertising, prices have dropped considerably. My price, while high in just over $50, is easily half and less than half of what I used to pay when this would happen. For the quick drop in anxiety? Certainly worthwhile.
After trying to inquire around the restaurant where we'd met, I finally gave in and called Pop-A-Lock, an Indy locksmith however a part of a series. While you call a number that is local, you'll catch on right away since it's clear that a person answers the telephone. Potentially an issue? Yeah, probably. It worked fine.
While the friend was current, there weren't any coat hangers available and those techno vehicles don't exactly lend themselves. I suppose that's a fantastic thing.

They stated they could make a key for me because I lost mine, and they would call back soon. They never called back and I needed to called back many times asking if they could come outside and they kept saying it would be any minute until they obtained an attorney to contact me. They never show up and it ended up costing me an additional day without a car. I would steer clear of this business, and go with somebody that follows and does not lie.

Friendly technician and Great response time was here to Re crucial my property. While here I was made by them a key fob for the Jeep. Before I lost my first much cheaper to get an additional. Highly recommend.

Pop A Lock. He's cool. My guy showed up ASAP. Did something like when Fonzie wants to turn on the jukebox, and my car door was available in the blink of an eye. So if you think Pop-A-Lock is the way to go? Correctamundo!

Lost my key to my 2009 Tahoe. They came into my home and were able to cut a new key and set me up with a fob. The cost was honest, too. Very pleased with this service that is great and will recommend to others.

It's wonderful to know that should something happens Pop A Lock can help us get right into, whatever we lock ourselves out from.
We locked the keys. It was late at night, and we had been three hours from your home. They quoted this 90 minutes, when we called the company. He was there in half the time. Michael was considerate, didn't make us feel like a complete idiots for locking ourselves from our vehicle, and professional.

If I could give this business two stars, I would. I locked my keys in my car while in a store yesterday (along with my 11 month old). I called this business after another firm bailed on me and the police channel advocated it. The girl told me it would be 35-50 minutes and took my advice. I explained I had been waiting for 2 hours with my baby and she said it would be expedited by them. 50 minutes later I call back and I am told the tech is on his way by her. I request a time quote and she puts me on hold. She then tells me she can not tell me how much time it will be, but likely at least 40 minutes and that he is to a different stop on his way. A hour and 46 minutes once I initially predicted, nobody had showed up and that I (being the considerate man I'm ) called and canceled as my husband had shown up using the spare key. He had to leave work, go pick up the extra keys from our property, and then come and unlock the door because of the incompetence of this company. I recommend or won't ever again use this corporation.

I had the same experience as Harry. We purchased a house and needed the locks changed. About 40 mins after they said they would show I got a phone call they would be late. Just like 3 hours late. Granted the guy was able to change the locks on 2 of the 3 doors and came. Because we don't have a key for the door of the house, which was a disappointment. A contractor we had into estimate a few fixes was surprised they could not re-key the rear door. I'll have to find somebody else for this.

Nate(?) Was friendly and nice. Thanks guys.
Quoted 40 minutes, came in 25 minutes. (Castleton)

Not even worth 1 star. Quoted 40 minutes then took over 2 hours. They can care less. Worst service. Guy was rude. I will never use again.

The operator answered on the third ring, seemed like she was from NOLA, also had a locksmith technician calling me back in less than 5 minutes. Boyd identified himself as calling from Pop-A-Lock earlier I asked.
, also has been Johnny-on-the-spot getting me back in my car in another 5 minutes. Bonus for being presentable, clean, polite and well spoken. The transaction, in the time I called Pop-A-Lock to the time I was back in my car took less than 20 minutes.
Can use these guys again. Thanks, Boyd.

Horrible experience with this provider. Paid $300 to get a lock fixed just to have it quit working 10 days later. Called their customer service and asked if they got the run around and warrantied their work. Finally got someone to say they never showed up and they would come back out to repair their work.
Use a different corporation. This company does work, overcharges and does not stand behind their work

Customer service. The tech was rude and condescending. So I need my car to remain unlocked before my fob programmer could arrive my keys were discharged. The tech unlocked the car but could not give me basic instructions on maintaining it temporarily unlocked nor could he inform me while I waited the way to avoid setting off the alarm. My automobile locked while I waited for my programmer so basically this was a massive waste of time & money.

I talked with a representative to send out a technician . She explained it was an minutes, which can be resonable. I called again following the 35 minute mark and our technician has to get me. Now, the wait was about an hour and I finally get a call - his ETA was just another 25 minutes.
Overall, it took 3 minutes to start my door, but the wait was an hour and a half. If you would like to wait That means you can decide. The cost has been $60 for my door to ensure is the only reason why I rated it over 2.

Oh my god my Woman was such a pro I loved her I loved her I loved her she knew her locks I will be Return to Pop a every

The mechanic they sent to charge my battery was helpful and very nice. Wish I'd thought to provide a hint.

I called twice spoke to 2 diff people and they gave me two diff prices. This was a bit over priced too. I received a business called services to do it. They did a Fantastic job for the cost

Quite unprofessional Pop-a-lock. Very disappointed of the attitude of the person who was supposed to come help us in already stressful situation. All locks could be opened with the right tools.
This one is well deserved, although I don't compose many reviews that are poor. Last night around 8:30 pm we had same situation with a different home. I phoned them, the shipment said it will be 45min to an hour wait, took my information and was nice - ok it's Friday night and time is taken by also 24/7 h services. I get a call 10 min later and that I get requested 1000 questions. "What kind of lock it is? "I replied." This Kind cannot be opened" What? Yes it may your company did it a couple weeks ago and if you can not open it you start it and are able to drill it. ! The person continued to be impolite and argue with me saying he/ she does that for 25 years and knows etc, then asking if I have some invoices that may link me to the address (?) Once I explained my firm owns the home and invoices are below business name that the interrogation continues with" that the company is not named after you? How can you prove you live there?" What?? I simply clarified what I could show and how I am connected to the home. So I ask whether the man or woman is coming to unlock the door or not and without apparent answer he / she ( could not tell from the voice and there was no debut when called) continues telling me this is because there are a great deal of people around you know, crazy girlfriends scenarios and these and he / she doesn't want to go to jail . So 8 min of rudeness clearly and afterwards the technician did not wish to come I ask some other load of impolite excuses and accusations I wrapped up and if they're coming. Called the shipment to request them to send someone else - that the shipment couldn't pull my order, her screen" froze" she could not check and tells me to call back and hangs up on me. At this point is 9:30 pm and we just called the door in 30 min with a smile.

Terrible service that Man come to change my flat tire but Couldn't complete the Task cuz she did Not have the Gear that are proper

They just managed to knock me off and double twice I've tried to manage this joke of a business and I wind up solving the issue myself. I get roadside assistance from my insurance and pop a lock will probably show up and their incompetent workers find some reason to not help.
Today, the moron who showed up did not even bother to get out of his car before telling me because my rims did not state Toyota on them, he could not fix my tire he sat on his car smoking and being useless.
I have complained to my insurance

I did not call pop-a-lock directly but they must have a service contract with my Subaru roadside help. Regrettably last week one of my tires lost it's life to a pothole on St. Charles Ave. St. Charles is assumed to be a fancy road totally free of sidewall busting divots, but no.
Easy peasy and that I was glad I didn't need to change a bicycle in the rain.
I called my support and they said someone would be out in 40 minutes. Approximately 20 minutes later, a car pulled up behind mine. After laughing (good humoredly) at my offer of the pitiful jack that comes with my car, he pulled out a hydraulic jack and my car up and my tire swapped in less than 10 minutes. Because this was a part of my help package (compensated for when I purchased my own car), there was no charge but I signed any paperwork so that they get credit for the occupation.

We were caught in a sticky situation when our car would not start after being out for the holiday season. We did not want to bother our neighbors and friends so we called Pop-A-Lock. They estimated Kara and 45 coming came to save the day in half an hour. Kara was especially peppy for this hour of the morning! "Hello! We are literally pushing off from where we were and oh man, Kara brightened up going home at the moment. If they could manage our 2 AM emergency telephone with such a positive attitude, you then know they could tackle anything and make you feel better in almost any circumstance.

I called Pop -A- Lock when my front door knob fell off in my hand last week, as I left the home. I called Pop-A-Lock plus they answered on the 3rd or 4th ring. The grandma told me someone would be calling me back shortly and took my information. In 10 mins for me to send photos of the lock which I 20, a supervisor called and asked. The technician who'd be assisting me called in about 10 minutes and said it was a simple fix. He came in under an hour (he suggested there was another service stop before me). Robert id'ed the problem... and only needed to reattach it with the screws I provided. The paperwork took more than the work! I was delighted with the service and the fee I was charged. It wasn't worth the time, energy and cash to attempt 24, while I may have been able to reattach itself. Thank you Pop-A-Lock and Robert!

Thank you Kara!
Did you know Pop-A-Lock jump begins dead batteries? I sure did not. I phoned Pop-A-Lock for a jump on a Friday night and the firm sent Kara, clearly a guardian angel, to save the day. Though it did take approximately 40 minutes for her to arrive, her disposition was extremely sunny, she had a sense of humor, was efficient, and ran some diagnostics to find out whether this was a one-time or problem. High five her, let her do her magic In case Kara comes your way, and rest in good hands.

Good service at a really inexpensive price! John was quite courteous and fast to unlock my car. Priceless is the live tracking in which you can see the picture of his automobile onto the map and who's coming to assist you, the estimated period they send you!

Left a message with their answering service less than 10 I get a call back. No dicking about told me exactly what to do to try and start the lock. If I will be there soon he said I want to know if you can. Sure I couldn't unlock the door. Called him and he was there after another job. Overall time was less than 30 minutes! Great job, attitude and incredibly friendly! Thanks for the help!

Excellent service! I am remote in Virginia and they made the process very simple. Among my contractors locked the house keys inside and pop-a-lock was there in under an hour they were completed. Payment has been taken over the phone. I would 100% recommend them and will use them again. THANK YOU!

We stopped at this store by FedEx while present buying the household of Your Girly. We discovered we had secured the keys in the vehicle, After we left. Went back and the lady working there called Pop-A-Lock.
I hope to never have to use that company again.
Well crap. Another review that vanished.
So it's not quite as fresh in my mind as the very first 22, this is a re-review out of a couple of years back.
45 bucks for two minutes of work seems like a lot, but if it means not hurting your car hoping to break into yourself, it appears fair.

Day of driving, but finally arrive in New Orleans. Switch onto Rampart from Canal to locate my hotel, hit a huge pot hole and destroy a bicycle. Welcome to Nawlins, right?
Had a spare but the rental does not have a jack. Quick call to my insurance company (USAA) and they dispatch someone to help. Kurt from Pop A Lock displays up quickly, very friendly man takes care of the change and I am in my way. Thanks for the prompt service to Kurt. Reputable contractor for USAA.

KARA WAS THE LITERAL BEST LOCK POPPER ON EARTH! She arrived earlier than my insurer has been efficient and incredibly friendly, and anticipated. Kara was all-smiles and made me comfortable about the experience, although I expected a southern grease monkey that was scary. She's THE woman for your job! Watch for Woman out, you have competition!

My neighbors had been locked using their cell phones locked inside also out of the house at 9pm. I called Pop-A-Lock and the locksmith came 30min. He'd my neighbors back inside of arriving within 5min. Great service.

Beware!!!
They have been called to change a tire. Indicated they completed the service when they showed.

Huge huge disappointment. I called for they and road side assistance pushed my support time back four distinct occasions. I sat on the side of the road for more than 3.5 hours and finally had to call the next business. It would have been faster to walk home or phone somebody to come help me. Never again will I trust this business.

Technology and fast service was great will use again for sure and recommend to family and friends

I had a jump start through my Roadside America program and the lady did a fine job! Thank you.

Fantastic service. On time. Three stars because of price. By breaking my door handle, I'd have saved money. I was charged $95 for 45 minutes of service. Life lesson learned.

Pert of the rationale that there are so many companies with evaluations that are low is that people do not take the opportunity to review the services for others' benefit and who are satisfied with service, anticipate it. We have just utilized this service and Darrellout tech was an excellent find. He had been early, called in advance, demonstrated what he'd do, done the job in a timely (45 min) manner, and put up payment and reception in a jiffy. I had been for a week out of my car having lost my key, known around, and arranged for a recommended freelancer to come and provide a replacement key/transponder. That gentleman showed up and after fifteen minutes, he revealed that he couldn't get through to GM for the code that was key. I had been frustrated and called Pop-A-Lock. Within one hour and a half calling, I am once again able to push my vehicle.
Thank you!!!

Disgusting service. Called got a wait period of 30-40 minutes. Called to examine the status 40 minutes later and was advised that it would take another 45 minutes to an hour. What a disgrace. Telephone AAA or somebody else.

I'm really surprised by the lack of customer service along with the business practice that is terrible. I have used pop-a-lock in savannah and had a great experience. Therefore it was a no brainier to utilize them to change the locks. I'm in the military and stationed in GA and needed following the tenant moved out to get my home rekeyed. I had been promised a call back 3 times and never received 1. Not sure why there are no repercussions for this but there is nothing she could do and the customer support rep about the 3rd telephone advised she delivered a message, if he did not call me. That is that is a poor business practice and a shame.
