Pop-A-Lock was set in 1991 by two law enforcement officers in Lafayette, Louisiana. The company was founded on fairness, hard work, and a dedication to the community. Since we think the nation is entitled to locksmith services pop-A-Lock has been growing since 91 and is not likely to stop.

Wow!!!! Gave an hour hour wait and half goes by. Told it will take another hour. Had to alter myself to a bicycle that is simple! If you don't wish to wait for hours and hours on the side of the street do not go with this company. I would of gave them negative stars if I could. As an emt in the event that you can not access to a costumer for a while, although a high call volume is understood by me tell the facts instead of them awaiting the heat fory'all to never show up!!!
Our insurance policy roadside assistance has referred a call to this business for service in San Marcos . Both times, left us hanging for three hours after multiple never showed up, and calls and they've promised they're in their way.
This time, they admitted they have one technician for the area and have been having issues like this for awhile. Neither of them showed up, in spite of the fact that they said they had been en route, also took more than three and a half hours to never arrive, although they said this man is a different one than the previous one. This time, n't came and the dispatcher told me he would not even answer their calls.
Save yourself the hassle and simply don't bother to call Pop a Lock. If you are locked out, call a locksmith, if you've got mechanical issues, or telephone Thumper Towing at Canyon Lake. They revealed in San Marcos at half an hour and saved us both times, once with a jump, and once a tire change. Therefore a four-hour wait had a Lock although a happy ending, but maybe not due to. Never again.
My rental car ended up with a flat tire. The service dispatcher asked me to confirm the automobile had a spare tire. I assured her it did. I had been told I would have a tech there within 60 minutes. I got a text with a link to track my tech only to learn my dispatch was canceled. When I called to ask I had been told it had been canceled because I had no spare tire. I again assured them that I did have a spare time. 3 hours later I had to call to determine where the tech was. 4 hours after my first call the tech shows up telling me that he had been the only one working, had 8 jobs and has a rib. What kind of a business only has one tech to pay for their whole footprint. I am hoping the advice I share with the rental business will convince them not to use Pop-a-lock in the future.
Tried to work with for a basic door issue. To my surprise 1.5 hours later they do not mess with smart locks. This was not a question once I contacted their dispatch station but relayed to me when I called about the tech not being in my home once I came...1 min. A large disconnect is inside their surgeries and that I would only use if they were the last company standing.
'that'll be $115 and a $10 service call.' I mentioned, that is not what I quoted. He said that's what I charge. I was by myself and am a female. I had to charge a total of $125 for work that required the man. The individual said he'd call me back when I called to complain the next day again. I had to phone him back twice. He raised his voice told me I wasn't making sense (essentially I was lying). He said prior to unlocking the door, the individual would have told me the cost. He didn't. He lent me the much higher and new cost of $125 hurriedly came and opened it.
Please be cautious and have somebody with you if you can help it. I had no option.
I contacted the company and he quoted me one price. So I requested the person is sent by him out it seemed fair. The individual within 5 minutes, unlocked the door and arrived. He said,
First review under. Retracted while following up on owners remark. Be careful out there!
*(one star) They gave me price then increased it once they arrived. After I found a lower price elsewhere and they fell theirs down enough to make it more costly to use the provider, since they already had a guaranteed service fee of 50$. Dint do not take quote and trust.
My battery died and my insurance called soda a lock and they were there in 15 mins. I had been so worried but they were able to give me a leap and stayed until it had been billed.
Driver called around 4, stated he had been here and getting on base and he would call if he had trouble getting on. I let security forces know I had been using a locksmith. I live 3 minutes in the gate.
-UPDATE
Locked my keys around 1:00, my automobile,USAA, let me know they'll be sending pop out a lock and they'll have the ability to get in and get it taken care of. I got conformation from my insurance around 1:30 that soda a lock will be out. I tried before I got ahold of someone calling. The first two calls ringing would stop and I'd get disconnected. It is after being on hold for 8 1/2 22, and that I just got off the phone with pop a lock. The rep let me know someone will be out in 30 minutes. We are going to see. Hope you are not supposed to tip these men because regrettably my generous vacation tip I initially planned to give the worker is now going to return to the bank.
We are on holiday in New Braunfels and also my son's tire must have a slow flow. We called them and they came out quickly and the guy was nice and professional.
One thing in the roadway shredded Geico and my bicycle dispatched out these guys. I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed at first, since I had been considering Geico like I stated I've a flat, not that I'm locked out of this vehicle, but when the Pop-A-Lock guy arrived, he introduced himself, had me sign a work order authorization, caught his instruments and had my own tire changed out along with my spare minutes. All-in-all an excellent ending. The wait time was a little long (considering they were located minutes up the road from me) but I imagine they are getting not only local calls, but requests from insurance companies and other third parties so I understand having to queue jobs and attempting to do the best you can with the labour force you have as this sort of work is unpredictable.
I used this company a couple of times before and services were fine. I used them recently and I couldn't be more disgusted with this corporation. I had a man who was new come and create a new automobile key for me. It took him about 4-5 hours to make the key. . Which I was on with. But when he concluded the key didn't work. I returned the key to him was frustrated because I had no key and still was patient with the 4 hours. He said he would return and have his boss come make a key. I called the office hours later and a rude, horrible woman and services were rendered. They kept my 160.00 and that I needed to pay another locksmith to perform the job. Do not waste your time!
Worst service terrible and every customer support waited for a jump start 2-1/2 hours.
Went thru Roadside help with Geico, received. An hour later called customer service placed on hold directly greeted them. Called Geico they couldn't send someone earlier. After two hours Richard came again rude customer service. Will request to not have pop a lock road side assistance again.
Close to two hours when shipment stated man ought to be arriving at 25-45 minutes. They lie to get your company instead.
Called roadside aid thru Geico. Was told it would be 60 minutes but they never showed up. I called them and was advised it would be an extra hour. I waited and waited. Got a text location had been arrived at by them but no one did. Called them and was advised it'd be an extra 30 min. Finally gave up and called back GEICO to eliminate them from my list. I had a buddy come and look after my problem. Must have done that. Not happy in any way!
Contractor secured keys in our condo and we expected appliances to be delivered. Called Pop-A-Lock and they indicated the ETA was in 45mins-1hr. I needed to keep up on the standing and they did not arrive till after 1.5hrs. Dispatchers were not empathetic. Would not recommend.
Son left the keys at the end of our trip in the trunk while packing. RICHARD #503, made the experience that a laughing one and came to the rescue. Thank you Richard, you are Wonderful
We locked the keys in the vehicle. We called a couple areas and they went to take FOREVER. HOURS. I phoned them originally the woman I talked with was sort of rude. I hung up and called back and talked with a guy. He was exceptionally wonderful. He gave us a quote of 40-45 minutes. The man called me about 45 minutes later saying he had been at the primary gate of Ft. Sam. He would be. He needed to call me since he had been a little lost since GPS can REALLY get messed up in Ft. Sam. I had to walk him through the instructions, he was nice the whole time. He took about 10 minutes to start the truck and came. It's a brand new truck and he had been super cautious of the paint rather than scratching it. On the truck hardly touched. He had been so professional. My BF and him appeared a bit about what occurred. The name of the tech is Leo. There is no need to although towards the technology people can be rude and jerky in scenarios like this. The cost was legit $45. Not bad. Pay and we would have to drive more than it to pick up the keys. So win.
