Pop-A-Lock

Pop-A-Lock was set in 1991 by two law enforcement officers in Lafayette, Louisiana. The company was founded on fairness, hard work, and a dedication to the community. Since we think the nation is entitled to locksmith services pop-A-Lock has been growing since 91 and is not likely to stop.

I received a call, Following my AL review and this published. Instead, he told me if I took down my reviews he would be delighted to repair damage and discount my bill, and then showed me that they worked for my home came to my house with the keys to our own locks. I advised him that was an inappropriate request given what occurred in my home. He proceeded to then bill us he put us through. It had been clear to us that the priority with this man is not the caliber of care or service for his clients, but the glowing reviews (note THREE yelp accounts for the same business). Little does he realize that its doing the ideal thing that makes the review and he missed out on it, double. Please save yourself the headache, and blackmail.

Pop-A-Lock was such a decision that is fantastic! My husband and I purchased our first home, and I managed to set up a rekey service the exact same day as our closing. Gary got back to me, and I reached out to get a quote on their website and was transparent about everything. We were assigned by him to Mike! Mike called me 30 minutes to say when he would be there. He managed to rekey our locks, when Mike came! He was super professional and quick. He took the opportunity to explain about among the locks he was unable to rekey due to the prior owner not having the first key . He let us know how to rekey ourselves once a lock was purchased by us and even offered to come back out when we needed help. Prices were excellent, and service was wonderful! We will definitely use Pop-A-Lock for any future demands!

Worthless service. They say they're open 24 hours when I called the person said they didn't open till 9:00am. Complete crap company. Will never predict.

Nate came out and re keyed my door for me. He was very professional and considerate. As I had been quoted, he charged exactly and the process for charge cards was quick and simple. This company would be used by me again if I wanted another support.

I would recommend this firm! Very reasonably priced! Quick service. Justin R was amazing. He came out after 10:00 pm on a Monday night. We were a little shocked by how cheap it was considering it was! I will not be locking myself from anything anytime soon, but I will definitely be using this company and will refer others if I do!

We have locked out and Pop A Lock was really helpful every step along the way. Chasidy was so helpful and kind setting up the appointment, the locksmith, Jessie James (no kidding on the name) Was at what he can, skilled, effective, kind, and professional. Greatly enjoy this not being a bigger ordeal because of having a company like Pop A Lock there to assist us out. They have been recommended by AAA and they are highly recommended by me to other people too!

I called for service after hours, and mt cat sitter was locked out of my home and has been quoted $75. I needed to email a copy of my license and a hand written note. I did all of this within 15 min of the call, and the had someone call me to notify me that the cost increased to $115 in this period since it was today after 9pm. It operated through a national call center, and had been the worst customer service.

Filled out the client form on their website. An automated response saying they would be in contact shortly. 4 days later. . .no response. Don't care. It wasn't a crisis and another locksmith did a job.

Moved into a home and had five doorways, each with two locks on them that had changed. I had known as other locksmiths to have a quote, and they were charging $500+! Pop a lock offered $15/cylinder and me $65. For a total of $215!!! Robert, who set up locks was right on time, early! Was very professional and showed us some suggestions about changing the locks and offered when we wanted to upgrade our locks to key pads to come out within the following 90 days for free. I would strongly recommend them, they did a excellent job, was workers and a fantastic price!

After waiting 3 hours for a locksmith to unlock my daughters car because the driver wasn't very smart and believed I cancelled? She had been billed $75 rather than the $65? I tried phoning the business 2 times to speak with someone on the quote that was miss and they would pick up the phone hang up. I would, if I could give negative stars!

We tried to get him but immediately realized we had help. I am so happy I discovered Pop A Lock!! Corey came out straight away. He had been so pleasant to my son also was professional and honest. He talked to my son the whole time and got him out quickly. I have programmed them into my phone and won't ever use anyone else. If your kids get locked they will also unlock your car for free. That is a few every parent (and everybody else) must have in their mobile phone.

John, called me less than three minutes after I called the company. Quoted me let me in and to change but ended up fixing the deadbolt therefore it did not need to get replaced! Saved time and money and he was SUPER nice! Thank you so much!!!

He came was at the vehicle and making sure everything was working order, and quickly, was properly accredited. His billing was before he had gone his statement that is emailed was in my own mailbox and as discussed over the telephone.
Jon out of Pop a Lock was a nice man, and very professional. Both of my truck's key locks appeared to be mechanically frozen, (neither crucial could turn), and Jon managed to open the doors up and ensure the the problem wasn't repeating.

Great support! Jon chose the appointment instantly and came afterwards. Super friendly and professional!

I have never needed a locksmith. As soon as I called Pop A Lock, there was a complete voicemail box and the message simply said"you know exactly what to do" without mentioning the company name, so I thought the number to the business had probably altered. But my number should have shown in their caller ID, as somebody called my number back. She requested my speech and said someone would call to discuss the problem, estimate, etc..
A guy called immediately and said he is now, however he could have a different locksmith he understands call me. I wished to proceed with a recommendation from a neighbor, or from a business with testimonials, but said for a call, knowing before committing, I might still look 34, okay. So, a second man called and said he could not tell estimate that a trip fee is, and until he arrived and was available. If he's got a site I can check 17, I asked the name of the company and/or. He works does not have a company name, and does not have any site. I told him I'd call back when I needed him to come. He said okay.
Immediately the first guy called back, and was troubled that I'd not instantly gone with the person, after I was referred by him . He said I should not wish to engage"someone having an accent" I believe it is distressing, disappointing, and no doubt frustrating to work in place and a country in which racism and bias are rampant. Still, his answer to me was unprofessional and unwarranted.

I missed the title of whoever arrived to assist me and have not ever left an online review but to whomever it was, I want to provide my thanks. My keys were locked in my car trunk close to midnight of July 4 and afterwards calling numerous companies, he had been the only one to pick up immediately and provide to come right off - with all the honest feedback that he was not sure he could correct the problem because my car was too fresh, but he'd attempt, rather than charge me if he could not fix the problem. Unfortunately for my specific car model (new this year) there are too many security features to prevent the trunk from being opened without keys, but I was really thankful for just how much effort he put in to it. For payment, he did not even ask at the end - I had been quoted, though was reasonable in comparison. I discovered someone else call in and he had been on his way - . I am impressed by the integrity and dedication to service and cannot thank the person enough who tried tough to assist me.

Love how easy and fast that the ceremony installing August lock was, thanks!!! Technician and Precisely the same day service was fast and knowledgeable.

Garth was efficient and amazingly kind. I was locked out of my house at ~11pm. He came within 20 min of my call, greeted me with a smile, and quickly, in under 2 min, got me in to my property. It was my first experience with a locksmith, and that I was overjoyed with his service. Thank you Garth!

This was the very best service I have ever had! He came when he was called and stood in today's pouring rain to make two keys to allow me to get my car moving! His name can't be remembered by me and I am sorry. He explained everything. I am older and this is indeed important! I have recommended you to everybody on Facebook! Thank you!!

Horrible service. Mumbled to the receiver. I tried to explain I was calling keys then he badgered me until I said I was, complained loudly when I did not have exact address (I was out shopping), and then quoted me $75. When I asked what that was for, he said to come my car open. I don't want it started! He said he would have a tech call me and did not understand what that would be, when I could eventually clarify that I needed a secret copied. I wasn't called by the tech over an hour. Whatever. Y'all lost company.

Great experience in most ways. I couldn't have asked for better support and had a lock altered later tenants moving out. Easy to program, on time, professional and polite, and that which was completed in 15 minutes. Lock works great. So easy and simple, highly recommend.

Pop-a-Lock fully saved the day for us.
Because the fobs had to be arranged, they shot a few days. Mike made another service call. Again, on time, courteous, all small business. He programmed the fobs; had them try out for precision and job completed in 20 minutes.
The Pop-a-Lock tech, Mike, was confident, professional and respectful. He met us in the vehicle and made a secret on the place. He came when he said he would and it took only about 30 minutes to do the job.
I will certainly call them .
Pop-a-Lock gave us a price to the time , 2 service fobs/materials and calls. I learned that they do HOME locksmithing not only car lockouts.

I called running car, and pop a lock around 9:30 at night to get my keys out of my locked. Nick arrived promptly and was professional and courteous during our interaction. They are priced great, particularly considering it was an after hours occupation. He made a situation and I am grateful.

John is capable, friendly and very professional with touches such as confirming where he could set his tools down and requesting permission prior to opening the doorway he's unlocked. There was another client facing me and he set my expectations and then surpassed them. Reasonable respectful and charge.

Key wouldn't turn in Tahoe automobile and dealer wanted $780!!!!!
MIKE IS THE Thank you!! He saved me a whole lot of cash!!
Called Mike and set it up. We met at the ceremony yard of Mike and dealership got it done in 30 minutes!!!
I hope this is the franchise that Mike in Raleigh place works for.
I can't speak more highly of this professionalism and service of Mike!
Thanks again!!!

Wow. Excellent support. Ethical and helpful. Great follow up thru. Jack was the ideal. Very helpful and knowledgeable

After dividing my key in my front door (wonderful end to a Monday) Pop A Lock showed up in less than 30 minutes. The locksmith (didn't catch his name - youngish with a beard) was super professional, gave me a quotation, stuck into it, and got me in my house in minutes. I'll certainly be using them if (well, when) I am locked out again.

The other morning I accidentally lock my car keys in my car for oh, about the time and I had someplace I really had to be. I jumped on my smartphone and googled"locked from my auto raleigh nc" (or similar) and chose Pop-A-Lock at random in the search results.
We chatted as I didn't need my husband to know I'd locked my keys within AGAIN as he worked to get my door unlocked and I mentioned that I'd be paying cash, and he asked if I didn't have a spare key. I told him we had gotten two keys when we purchased the car (the fob keys together with the distant lock/panic button ), but we had dropped one decades ago, and it was $80 to substitute.
I called just to be sure they didn't charge more than a $50 to allow me back in my vehicle and that they were accessible to come help me. The dispatcher said the locksmith would be in touch with me and I hung up, with expectations. I figured I would wait around 20 minutes and I would call someone else, when I hadn't heard anything.
Turns out they have an integral machine in the rear of the van. SMART MOVE. Maybe other locksmiths have this service as well, but I've never had one mention that it... maybe they are concerned about losing repeat business?? Whatever the case, for less than 5 minutes and another $10, I have a secret that won't turn my motor, but will let me open the door to get my key that is actual out at the event this occurs.
As happy as I had been with my service from Pop-A-Lock, here is hoping I won't need them again now I have my shiny new spare key!
Less than 10 minutes later, my phone rang. It had been the locksmith verifying my place. He said he'd be there in"ten minutes or less".
And I believe we all know it will.

Excellent service! I locked myself outside of my car in the supermarket. I phoned Pop-A-Lock and was told someone would be there in 35-40 minutes. Joe stated he was 10 minutes off and called. He got me back into my car and was very nice. Highly recommend.

Our technician was polite and fast.
We were locked out of the automobile do into the battery and the crucial fab not working.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Thanx again Pop-A-Lock!!

I called and was granted a hour estimate for arrival to come unlock my car door. I waited around 1 hour and 15 minutes to call for an ETA. After being asked questions like"is a tech that there" and"includes a tech already been there", the dispatcher said I was not in the computer and it'd be another hour before anybody could arrive. Then I asked him to cancel the ticket and he hung up on me. I called another company and they arrived within 20 minutes. Save your time and call someone else!

Scam artist in drama. I have State Farm help, I left the lights in my car. At the 39 minute mark I received a phone call one ring along with a hang up, I immediately called back and attempted to talk to the technician. In the method I saw a vehicle driving away and walked outside, I tried calling back and the phone went directly to voicemail. 1 minute late I received a text, the text said"technician couldn't find vehicle or speech" my car was parked at a residential driveway not in stealth mode. I then proceeded to call the Pop-A-Lock amount offered by the text I had received I'm supposing the office. I hung me up and talked to some lady who stated she would try and find out what went on. I promptly called back and also a gentleman answered who stated"that your appt was cancelled since motorist couldn't locate ADRESS OR VEHICLE however they might be back in 5 mins if I'd pay them $59.00". The driver couldn't locate ADRESS OR VEHICLE how could they return in 5 mins. That is where I became aggravated called this attempted arm prosecution strategy to be reported by State Farm and shared some alternative words. I wouldn't recommend these crooks to a terrorist at this point. Fantastic luck and I truly hope someone from the corporate workplace reads this review and can reconcile the actions of some unscrupulous workers...

Thank you Sean for being professional and prompt! You managed my Lexus ! With you with my car unlocked in a couple of minutes, I am quite impressed. I'll definitely recommend you! This is an A+ experience!

Called Pop-A-Lock at 5:50 pm. They said they'd have a locksmith contact me. It pm and I haven't heard a word. I had a man here in 25 minutes and phoned one of their competitors after waiting an hour.

Joseph was the title of our technician, he came fast within 20 minutes, once I told him I was an oxygen patient Along with my oxygen concentrator from the car wasn't working because the battery had died, because I left the lights on. He was understanding and thorough and fast. Definitely recommend this tech. I was thankful for him coming, and he inquired if there was.

Told me they would be there in 35min but was over 2hrs. Charged me $59 to get in my car and took him about 20seconds to perform it. There are cheaper places although they got the job done.

Literally I barely ever write reviews but I called in to get a few quotes to acquire important fobs for. This is the first time as I have never known as for anything that I've ever done this. I told her we had key fobs to get a few different company vehicles. She kept interrupting and asking what I needed specifically and kept repeating"so you currently have the key to the car or truck?" I said yes, we just have a great deal of people who drive the car so we want copies made and I am just hoping to see what it costs. Thinking I had been saying it wrong I said that a key fob, and she asked if I had a remote, and I said I am not sure, just the key together with the unlock buttons and buttons, in which I asked is that considered a key fob? She did not answer my question and just proceeded to rattle off the names of all the various types until she settled on remote. She asked me a lot of other details along with the address for the location. So that she suggested I look up that information in the time that it takes her to call the locksmith, I didn't have the year for two. The phone had a hum sound in the background and was broken up so I did not hear her say"the locksmith will phone with pricing" so because she asked for my address I asked just to double check he was likely to phone first before driving out to the automobile place. She clarified that this was what she had said the very first time and started speaking slower. I was becoming really frustrated because I had been interrupted enough and did not appreciate being talked down to like I was dumb because I did not know the year of the vehicle and missed 6 words. I told her the call was quite muted and sorry I did not hear the first time to but as she kept interrupting me I decided it was best if I explained, thanks called someone else, and have a good one.

The door handle on my puppy and my third floor apartment door broke and I had been stuck indoors. I phoned our"emergency maintenance" and they didn't respond. I phoned Pop-A-Lock and Rob R. saved the day and instantly came! My puppy and I say THANK YOU!

I wish I didn't have to write this review, only because I wish my husband hadn't locked my keys in my car.
Two minutes and $55 we were on the road!
We were in 3rd & Lindsley to get a show, I came out to depart and my car battery was dead. Husband came back (we'd met there after work), got jumper cables hooked up, walked by car door, closed door. Yes, doors were locked and keys were still inside. Nashville PD was helpful in getting us the telephone number for Pop-A-Lock and waiting until he knew we'd, for certain, made contact with the company. The operator had said it would be approximately half an hour but my husband let her know we were at a somewhat shady area (it is really once everyone leaves from the show) and the man was there in less than 10 minutes. This man very possibly saved my marriage. lol
Thanks, Pop-A-Lock!!

Dry and rude. Drives to get data information that is complete for just t. Whats wrong with,"home call prices $ and lock alter cost this?

04/06/2018 @ 4:16 pm and was quoted $350 to substitute my key fob for my 2013 BMW 328i, I excepted the cost and was told the tech would call ASAP called today! In 7:14pm I received a call from the tech stating they did not possess the capability to replace my key fob or help with my vehicle! Following the reviews I read and their advertising I was

This is the best locksmith I've ever dealt with (and I've locked myself from areas MANY times)! My locksmith was Mats J. and he went over and beyond to save my lock after having to drill a part off it just to get in. The amount of support was amazing, although it took longer than we expected. He replaced parts which were damaged (drilled place ) with his own stash of supplies. He ended up helping me get a car door unlocked after the dealership said it would cost no less than $500-$1000 as they would have to cut in the door to get to it. I was thrilled! Thanks for a great experience!

Well I locked my keys in my vehicle, isn't the first time. Yea I know. . I got a quote for more than 70!!!! and called pop a lock I told the lady on the phone the last time I called it was $50. So I told her I will look somewhere else she informed me about a few new management. No way in hell could I pay $70 bucks for someone to open a door.
Called AAA locksmith and has been charged lower.

Nick W. was fantastic! Friendly and fast and got the job done in 5 mins. High recommend. Can use pop-a-lock again if desired!

What an company! We had to get in ASAP to get a building team and dropped the only key into a storage door beneath our home. Pop-A-Lock got it unlocked and re-keyed it and was there in record time! Customer service. I will certainly use them again!

By losing my sole car key in a cave in Alabama, I capped off a weekend full of mishaps. This was a Sunday. So I called Pop-A-Lock.
I was impressed with their company, professionalism, and ability to address my problem in the face of unforeseen challenges. Give these guys a call.
After giving my information to the receptionist, I was advised that a locksmith would give me a call with a quote and time estimate shortly. That call came in 10 minutes, along with the quotation was reasonable. Ben was polite and professional when he came, and he quickly got to work. He encountered an issue with my vehicle manufacturer's website that slowed him however, the situation was explained by him and continued to work in my crucial. Following a few hours along with a call for help, I had fully expected to get hit with some unexpected charges, but I swiped my card to the initially quoted price and started the car with my new key.

2) The gentleman they delivered understood EXACTLY what to do. Many automobiles had been unlocked by him like mine. He knew how the car's computer system functioned (and if you do it wrong, you are actually locked out and need to break a window).
Pop-a-Lock saved. Here is how:
Boom. Fixed. Done.
1) The Pop-a-Lock man showed up within about 15 minutes of my call. Outstanding.
Pop-a-Lock was dispatched for me via my USAA service. This was clearly one of these experiences that went exactly as I hoped.
3) He had the right tools to open my car without scratching the window frames or harming my car in any way.
4) The whole thing took about 1 minute. Guy was friendly and professional.

My wife secured the car while it was operating, no key may be found. Very friendly person, called Popalock replied and the car was unlocked within 30 minutes. Thanks for the efficacy!

Pop-A-Lock came to divert me out of my car. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT! The man was speedy and friendly. He and I met with in my job and he was very professional. I was riding home, when I left work and I heard a noise. I shut all of my car doors and pulled over. Heard the sound so I waited to find out what went on. Once I looked the outside weather stripping the following morning was pulled up from the doorway where his instrument is wedged by him into unlock the door. The rep explain she was likely to obtain a damage claim in and got all of my info and a manager will call me. On July 30, 2016 I got a call asking me about my car. Where the damage was I explain to him. Jeff explain to me he fix my car and will come out to my job. Jeff called back and said that day, he could not make it. He ask me more about the damage and I text the pic showing that the damage to . Jeff then said he will call down to Honda and purchase the part that he needs to repair my car. Jeff said"I'm glad you sent me the pic! I understand what exactly I need to get your car repair! I will call you Monday when I'm on the way!" Monday August 1, 2016 I didn't hear from Jeff. I called back down to Pop-A-Lock and ask to speak to this Jeff. The rep said he have him call me and will give Jeff a call. I didn't get a call and waited. On August 3, 2016 around 12:05 pm I called Jeff in the number that I text. He explain to me he took an EARLY VACATION. He apologize and said he has all of my info at work and he'll send someone out ASAP. I text him and asked about my car in the message he states"Yeah man, I'm terribly sorry. We're only shorthanded at this time although I'm not attempting to make excuses.

Thank you Johnnie
With a pending installation and renters moving , I needed a reliable Locksmith to alter a closet knob that was frequent . After studying some reviews I hurriedly reached out to Pop-A-Lock and has been contacted by their Locksmith Johnnie the following moment.
Highly recommended A ++
