Mike is so good that I tried to convince him he made him more. It did not work. There were three different keys to three outside doors when we purchased our home, and we did not even have one of them. It wasn't your day, if you needed to have in through the garage. Mike fixed all of that. So that it's a lot easier to open he fiddled with our door. He showed me the way to have a key for its original lock on our bedroom door - I went to Commonwealth Lock at Porter Square for the main, but it worked since Mike took it swapped the lock to get one from a different door, fixed it, disabled the one for my kid's room, and informed me concerning Commonwealth. All our key issues are resolved, and Mike is gold.

Not only did Mike schedule an appointment within the hour to allow us , after I paid him for the occupation he took it upon himself to search for my keys. Background:
I had to re-lock because last week I locked myself out and that I predicted"24/7 Locksmith connections" (from google advertisement ) and that was a massive mistake and the man they sent over was a scam artist. So don't phone any locksmith from advertisements. Do your research and read testimonials carefully. What they tell you isn't moreover you'll need to re-do the job and what they charge you. One hint, should they show up with their car that is private, reject them.
Mike is quite trustworthy and amazing. I'd read reviews that how he takes his time and shows individuals how the system functions and does a little teach on the side. His rates are reasonable also.

I bought a home and had my own locks changed. Mike allow me to know what information he had to be able to give an accurate quote, was professional and knowledgable on the telephone, and kept the price there.

I had used Carlmont about one year ago and had been impressed by Mike's (the proprietor ) responsiveness and professionalism. I made a decision to hire him and I am glad I did. I got Carlmont on the telephone. They eliminated the area, took a look, came on time, and replaced it. Fixed it with an replacement part that is inner that is on-truck , so no need to re-key the lock. Again, conserving cash and aggro there.
Dead bolt failed on a front door. Coulda gone the Home Depot route--three trips and four hours of aggro--and stored maybe $20 by the time I discovered the ideal lock and bits.

Great support! I know who to go to call today! I came home with my son. The police told me to possess the locks although the break-in was through a window. Michael was quick to phone back and made the trip in rush hour traffic over the hour. Amongst the chaos of making the police report and attempting to get someone to fix the window on short notice, all of the locks are handled by Michael, before he left and given some safety recommendations that were fantastic , even helped me fix the window!

These guys are an local right in Cambridge, the best. A lot of locksmiths out there are fake or not actually where they say that they charge lots of hidden fees, and are. Carlmont is quite fair, quick, and very affordable. Because I did not end up needing , he talked me down! Great service, highly suggested.

This review is overdue but I am catching up on my to do list so here it is. I found Carlmont Lock and the reviews don't lie. My brand new cat-sitter had labeled my keys with my address (?!!) And then had her car broken into so I needed to alter my locks 18, and keys stolen. Michael Crowley was awesome. He arrived when he said he'd, changed the locks and charged me less than other areas I'd called and gotten quotations from. He's also a man, interesting to talk to. Definitely use Carlmont Lock.

He in the process saved me from the option and quickly corrected my locks.
Not a can say beyond the fact that Mike, from Carlmont Lock, is a man of skill and a man of his word.
He came called him earlier. He promised he had a previous job but would be by my place as soon as he could.
A friendly guy who knows what he is currently doing, is very capable, reasonably priced, and going to be the locksmith I would recommend to all in my condominium complex.

I had an encounter with Carlmont Locksmith. I had U-locked by bicycle to a metal fence and lost the key. Many locksmiths I predicted would violate locks that are such, but Mike responded to my message while on vacation.
He came by at 7:15 am, before I had to leave work (in his proposal! So nice to come so early!) He was quick, professional and friendly to cut my lock. In the end of it all, he charged me $30 less than I was quoted by other businesses.
I was back on the road in no time. So thankful to Mike!

As an additional bonus, he's got a great touch with children. He got my daughter occupied fixing the lock and engaged 5 and my 3 year old.
He's super competent, fairly priced, and my go-to man for anything lock associated.

Mike was courteous, professional and came together with his own supply of electricity. He was very careful around my bicycle and respectful of those other bikes.
I can't say enough great things about Mike. While my bike was locked up in Alewife my bicycle lock jammed. T authorities said call a locksmith. Mike said he is charged to cut on the lock and just there in 20 mins. Glad he did this, as I makes me feel better that not just anybody can ask to have a cut that is lock.

Mike is a teacher, a locksmith, and an entertainer. When my family and I needed him, he came right away, and he taught us to make certain we did not get locked out of a room. He also had humorous stories. And the price is right - $60. High recommend, and also a big thanks to Mike.

They weren't available to support my location but even so they chose the time to discuss with me to the phone what I must expect from those hire and what to look out for. They made it clear that I should request hidden charges, if the lock would have to be replaced in the close of the service and other things one generally wouldn't think of if it was there first time asking entrance in their home once locked outside. I ended up finding my key so I lucked out but if I had a choice I'd go with Carlmont Lock since they're a respectable and really honest business. Thank you Carlmont for genuinely considering their interest and watching for your customers.

Exceptionally delighted with service. Left message about an entrance door lock that would not lock in the outside. Mike was here in a very limited time. He found a piece of metal inside the lock was bent and worn out. Rather than simply have us replace the cylinder (which might have been more expensive and might have required new keys for several people) he discovered that a replacement part inside his truck and repaired the lock. The cost was quite reasonable, oh, Mike was quite personable, and the service was quick, and, the lock functions superbly .
