Troy was in the middle of a job, but nothing but friendly and polite. He was very clear about a straight up cost to substitute an ignition key. Any fobs or push buttons require a chip that is programming. (The 1-800 men said they could do this"for a price"). I asked Troy to call when he was done with his job.
Last spring, we had a guest at our house. At one point, the keys were lost by his kids into his 1997 pickup truck. After hours of searching we called around to locate a locksmith. We called the 1-800 people that bill a minimum give you a price tag and to show up, so we advised them to come outside, assuming we would be out the minimum if the cost was too large. They told us when I asked around $200 but no guarantee they told me for an estimate until they see the job and they would be here in 20 minutes. So, we waited, regrettably , they called back to let us know that the 20 minutes just turned into an hour and a half.
This is how they are replaced by you, Should you ever lose your set of car keys. (The dealership might offer a different, albeit more expensive solution, but I am only talking in more immediate terms). You take the VIN number from the automobile and the locksmith (in our case - but maybe the automobile ) sets the number to a system (they need to pay for) and carves out a new key for your vehicle, which they deliver for you. This was exactly what Troy planned to do. He even gave an honest straight up front, reasonable quote to get us out of a challenging situation. No need to make us wait for an quote based on the situation. The situation was simple.
Meanwhile, I called the Ford dealership to see what could be carried out. They did not have the programming principles for automobiles for this calendar year, and it would necessitate bringing it into the shop if they did. Not too much something to be done on the street, which after talking to the men that charge a minimum to show up, I had the impression that this could be carried out. I was counting more and more on Troy's honesty.
In the long run, the keys have been discovered, fortunately for the buddy. We can't talk of actual work that Troy did, however would hire him in another based our expertise off with him that his assistance and data. He had been the most honest person we dealt with this day. Ian showed up and was super polite, friendly, and effective. He made me a new vehicle key in under 10 minutes. Amazing. This entire experience was stress-free and actually helped with my general experience (my purse was stolen a few days before and the stress of having to replace everything was becoming to me.) They had been about 30 minutes late but kept me all this time (due to the previous job taking somewhat longer). I highly recommend them and would use them again.

My transponder key bent because the cylinder was damaged. Puget Sound Key & Lock was out in under an hour. Ian went over and beyond to be sure I had one with a smart key, two keys so I could get into my car even though the lock was busted. The cost seemed fair for 2 keys and support.

Then the worst happened, since they indicated getting into the car would not guarantee getting into the back. They worked hard to find a solution, actually knew one wouldn't, and which trader to call to your data, meaning which one, would unleash the code. I was already talking and they were insisting I have my car. The locksmith told me to hang up and call the Tacoma dealer. They gave me the exact code less than 45 seconds! They saved me a lot of cash and were really professional

Was told by everyone else a Volkswagen key cut and application on site was not possible, the sole way to get a new key would be to have the dealer order it and take the car to them for programming, due to the proprietary codes VW uses. Key for the car was lost 45 miles from home. All options were going to cost $300+, with towing and automobile expenditure. AAA called these guys, they came out at 10:00pm and by 12:30 had cut and programmed two keys that got me home and I have a spare! Will file this number away to be used again and again as the need arises! If you've got a key requirement that is programmed, Do not recommend enough.

Good service, very personable, and prompt and helpful employees. Willing to work with me, and it had been obvious based on many of the recommendations that they actually were interested in helping me find exactly what would work best and not just trying to market a product. I'll always use these men for my lock needs in the future.

Troy was able to come out to re-key and exactly the exact same afternoon four locks on my house. The service has been prompt, professional, and fairly priced.

They were here within 45 minutes of calling (after estimating about an hour) and had it unlocked under 5 minutes. It just cost $45 (I had estimates from 3 other areas which range from $60-100) that I thought was great. I have but for the speediness and convenience, I had been happy to pay that.
This morning, I got locked out of my car, and after about one hour of freaking out and trying to break into it , I phoned Puget Sound Key & Lock.

We just contacted these men today to Re-Key our residence. They were ON IT. I expected I might have to schedule an appointment a few days out but they were able to make it out. They indicated they may be at our house. They left it EARLY, functioned efficiently and were reasonable. $65 for the service call and $10 per cylinder . Great service!

Nice to have a specialist in the hood.

I found these men to be VERY adapting in my circumstance. They worked quickly and thoroughly, and they did a great job. Use them!!

This service was terrible! I wanted the locks changed and transferred to a new home. Based reviews, I called those guys on. I gave them warning. Moving day arrived and they did not. Troy stated his van broke down and he couldn't come, As soon as I called them. I called the next weekend and they came but did not have sufficient gear. When the gear would be prepared, I called to ask. No call back for weeks. I phoned to frighten them and they stated they would come. They called back an hour later to say they would come the day or that day. evening they did not come! I haven't heard from them since. It shouldn't take a month and a dozen phone calls to get your locks changed!

These guys are fantastic. They came rekeyed my 95 jetta. Worked in everything but the driver's door. They refused to leave until the secret worked in all of the locks & then made a copy key, although I informed them that I didn't mind unlocking the passenger side . Impressive, courteous, and professional. You're able to feel assured that you're dealing with a trusted locksmith.
