I used everybody I talked with on the telephone refused to give me a quote and this service on 4/7. The first girl was so rude and hung up on me. The technician called back, I was very clear my keys were locked in the vehicle, and he said it was 30 (the cost of these coming out) I asked if he was sure that was the entire cost and he said I'll see you there and wrapped up.
After he started pulling out tools and came he advised me that the cost was a total of $225. It took less than 5 minutes for him to open the door. He needed to put it on two charges, because the value did not change before hand and couldn't figure out the program.
The call service that they work and this organization for is a scam that is 100 percent. Do not use. They overcharge you while you are locked out and vulnerable. $180 to opening my door, for 10 seconds is bullshit.
Bottom line? In case you don't have any choice but to do business with those guys, be sure you get quotations and - if it's legal in your state - list any contracts they make on the telephone with you.
My circumstance was similar to complaints, though less extreme. I had been quoted $180 to unlock my door. When he came he did not utter a word except to say there was the $180 along with a service charge was a minimal sum - .
I initially called a well-reviewed firm - Mr. Locksmith DC - during a crisis lockout.
Chase those items on the internet and you find a lot of complaints which make sense I have seen these men.
It was difficult to track down this company - and I guess it's intended to be. I am guessing A1 Locksmith DMV is keen to protect itself from all of the complaints it (and/or affiliated entities) brings on scam watch and Better Business Bureau websites.
I reluctantly agreed. Two minutes later my door was open and that I was now being billed $250 (allegedly a base price of $220 plus the service fee).
Nor did the firm name on the invoice (24/7 Locksmith Services) match the name of the business that billed my card (a1locksmithdmv).
I don't know why I paid. I had all of the recourse in the world and that he had none. I suppose after waiting so long to get there I was tired.
Not to mention A1 Locksmith DMV lists one number on its website (833 215 6257) and yet another on the reception emailed to me via Square (703 717 8134). Not to mention the various addresses.
