This location saved at least $80. Frankly, I'm so glad I used their support and not another locksmith in Astoria. Thanks for getting the task done and helping me save $$$

Lock was jammed at nighttime. I phoned and Tom did a fantastic job and got here in 2 minutes. Door was opened in no time flat. He had a new knob with him to install.

Nice little shop that makes my key that needed an size sterile, but they had it!

Owner of Admiral Lock and Key is the best locksmith in Astoria, Queens. Her company has been used by me for 30 years, and she and her family have never let me down. Last week she sent somebody to fix my mother's broken lock. Admiral will never overcharges you. Prior to a visit, you'll be quoted a price for a repair. Bottom line satisfaction.

They were the only one that has been open on Easter Sunday (thank goodness) and came in less than 20 minutes to open up the doorway for me. Tom managed without having to drill the lock to unlock the door in less than 5 minutes! Amazing! Thank you so much! Otherwise, I have been locked out on Easter Sunday!

Came to my house over 15 minutes. Tom even called me to give me to when he'd arrive an eta. Got me quickly and gave me a brand new lock to the door. When you're locked out use these folks.

My lock got one night so I phoned a locksmith Admiral and I couldn't get in my apartment. They were fantastic! They did not charge a ridiculous cost got to me fairly quickly and were nice guys also. What's a less than good situation was created awful by helpful attitude and their work.

Admiral came and did a fantastic job helping me. They were able to get me at the home and came in under 10 minutes. I want to thank them for. Thank you Admiral and notably Tom.

They were professional & very friendly.
I can not believe how difficult it is to discover a locksmith in Astoria!
I needed a copy of office keys got and has been helped in less than 5 minutes!

Out myself. Service to unlock was professional and Quick however, it cost me $110 for a Fast opening of the lock

Tumblers could be tetchy in NYC with extensive usage and extreme temperature variations. Before I moved up here from Florida, I had about a 50% success rate with keys I'd copied at the neighborhood big-box dwelling shops. I have gotten plenty of keys cut at Admiral, and just one has proved to be a bit fussy (with a front door lock that I knew to be a bit moody). Roz had sent me off with my fresh important copies along with the invite to come right back if anything n't worked right, and she managed make it working in minutes and to adjust the issue key. The rates are old-school also! What other place charges a dollar and change to get a service they've rendered?? They can help you with any kind and in NYC, do not we all have lots of these?
This is my regional neighborhood key place, and that I find myself here. Blink and you might miss the old-school shop, which is right by the Steinway/Broadway intersection in Astoria, and'manned' by the Roz.

Omar came to my rescue tonight after being locked out for nearly an hour-- and at 9pm on a Monday(!) . Me calmed down and managed to guide me through how to finagle my flat key and lock in the right position to receive it open, and off of a photograph of the lock! He instructed me on how to tighten my lock so that this would not happen again as well. This guy knows his stuff and I am super thankful for his or her help. I highly recommend this location and their workers.

I wrote a stellar inspection for Admiral back and nothing relating to this experience has changed.
My favourite part of the business is the fact that it's a long lost mother and pop store. There's absolutely no reason to get your keys created anywhere else. And definitely NOT those machines which have been popping up in some grocery stores and Rite Aid. Admiral costs $1.50 per standard copy and should you experience any issues, they will easily fix the backup for you. Those machines are if you have and the cost? Call a toll free number? Send an facebook message?
They typically shut at 5pm, but that I managed to come in at 5:10pm and get a total of 9 important copies done with no hassle. Is still completely brilliant in her craft - I'd trust her to make a copy along with her eyes.
"I can't attest to their other services, however they do provide locksmithing and whatnot. In addition, I have no idea what the normal charge is for that kind of service, however should they approach that type of job with the identical experience and professionalism they do to their key copying, then I'd be delighted to suggest them."
I will quote a statement from my review, because it stands:

I am giving them two stars because I did receive service that is decent since they copied my flat keys and the girl who assisted me was sweet.
It is a Friday night at 7:30pm and I've been having a problem with a lock for more than an hour today. This place popped as a Astoria locksmith with 24 hour services on Google. . .well, that's a lie since I've called 3 times today and been greeted with . No words for how frustrated I am right now.
However 24 hours that they aren't.

Roz and Marcelo were attentive helpful, and with that extra touch which makes family businesses that are little such as special and this so rare. I was to hardware shops around the city and looked for a technical mortise lock set and it was only when Marcelo and Roz came up with the ideal solution and I arrived here. So grateful for their expertise and problem solving resourcefulness.

Admiral Lock & Key Company is fast and accommodating. I'm often wary of these type of services for fear of overcharging, etc., but it was very temporary and fare. I would recommend if you live in the Astoria/Long Island City region:)

Do not let this girl make keys for you!!!
Just read the testimonials here and see that other people have experienced exactly the same problem.
Came here near the end of the day to have a few duplicates our entrance door key made. I figured she had just had a terrible day and sloughed off it, although the girl at the counter has been incredibly, almost comically rude.
Got house -- NONE of those keys she made functioned. And it is day and every place else is shut.

Went here in order to make keys, the guy was really nice. I'd 6 keys made and 2 of them didn't work. So I come back and there's a girl there and she states about 6 occasions that"they should work, I can not see why they wouldn't" like I was some kind of idiot that didn't know how to use a secret, then she DOESNT create me new ones. She thins the old ones and tells me to attract the lock in if they don't work. They didn't work after this too, and I am certainly not carrying my lock out of my door and heading back there a 3rd time since she is stingy and didn't need to make me a set.
Another of the spares does not work all the time. Can get locked out because of this

Omar is the very best!!!!! He helped me by telling me what to do so as to get it open there and right then and also exactly what exactly was wrong with my lock. THANK YOU OMAR!!!!!!!!!

Best notch. When he said he would to the minute ros was friendly on the telephone, Mike came. He was obviously and speedy a seasoned practitioner. If you live in Queens, these people are it. A preceding locksmith told us it would be $800 to replace our previous bottom lock (!) . Mike arrived and did the whole job in less than an hour (just over $200), was detail-oriented, and even tightened the door hinges therefore the door closed more smoothly. The very best.
