Menards DIY key cutting got it wrong. Ace hardware utilized the blank that was incorrect and got it wrong. This really is the locksmith since it comes out working, I use. Oh and get this. Among the locksmiths fixes mortise locks. Fantastic

Minneapolis Lock & Key quickly got after I bought my house, my locks changed. I was able get new keys and to deliver both the locks to them! They were able to generate a secret for the display door lock. Quick, effective, and simple - traits every business needs!

Had the experience getting a replacement car key cut. The men here are experts in what they're doing. Quick and type support. They had bubbles for my daughter. Areas are hardly ever reviewed by me but couldn't pass up the opportunity to speak well of the enterprise. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND HIGHLY ENOUGH!

Very unprofessional and inadequate customer service.
Last Friday, the company chose for me - that the man showed up & no amount of phone calls. I haven't been contacted and I waited.

AND I got a skeleton key which works on the case because of the 1890s Husqvarna sewing machine! $33 advised! Bet the dealership would have charged much more than that!
That I walked in and they helped me right away, although the yelp listing states this place is by appointment only. Fantastic PLACE!!
I enjoy finding an old school company that does things RIGHT. My car was 16 years old, and over time the ignition key had worn smooth. Needed a new one.
Called the dealership, where I'd have had an agency appointment.

I had an additional key for my condo and my condo association was going to charge me 100 bucks but this placed got it done in one minute and charged me 5 bucks! Visit them, if you have to duplicate any keys! Although customer service may not be outstanding, the man was complaining I gave him coins later he up me. I get that but complaining before a customer is on a different level. . Anyway I gave them 5 stars for getting things done right and fast.

Went in there using an old skeleton key to get a home, and some other keys to be made. The men hand floor the key to work, luckily I had been smart enough to take the store to the locking mechanism ot. It seemed obvious, that to solve this matter to take the entire thing there. In a world of automatic machines, and untrained techs, these men just get it done with the ages of expertise. They are not the cheapest, but nevertheless quite fair. They are a regional company to support, and your easy button.

I locked myself out of my car and they were there in 10 minutes. Great service and affordable rates!

Most hardware stores didn't have the right kind of key for my Buick, and also the ones that did all billed $69.99, but this place just charged me $50.
If you're in Minneapolis and need key or a lock, I might propose Minneapolis Lock & Key.

We talked to the same condescending and arrogant guy. He was down-right nasty. We needed help getting a new key when we locked ourselves out of our 17, and fob. Where are car is 11, asked. My husband answered"in our garage." I thought he was trying to reply to identify whether we were trapped from the side of the road or something. He answered,"how am I supposed to understand where your garage is." He was so horrible. He then scolded my husband saying"Look, if you are not going to answer my queries I am going to hang you up." We're trying to answer your queries. He asked if we want the remote or the secret. My husband explained that the secret along with the fob were equally. The locksmith then says"This is a REMOTE, maybe not even a FOB." He accused of becoming hard, my husband and hung up on him. What?????? What a Entire JERK!

I went to get a lock they treated me like I was bothering themI WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE,,AND GLAD I DID!!!!!

Hey,there are things,

These guys may be grumpy, but I wouldn't trust anybody else. They are fast, have every essential blank in existence and consistently get it right the first time.

I swap a couple of double cylinder locks with singles and had a simple project: re-key our home. It was clear that they needed me to stop by their store, although I wished to arrange for your job through email. That I guess I can understand from the company's point of view. Anyway, I fell by their store and spoke with a man that was gruff. However, was friendly and silent and we chatted briefly about books. Having worked with a different locksmith business before for a far bigger job (rekeying a little condo construction ), I felt Minneapolis Lock & Key's prices were somewhat high. In general, a good experience and I'd recommend them to other people.

The most proficient lock technicians in town. Service is amazing and talent unparalleled

I inherited an old grandma car from my grandma, and sadly this grandma automobile had no essential for the doors and back. For the first five years I had this car, I did not have a problem because I could use the remote to open up the doors and back, but when the remote system finally failed I needed to eventually get a key made. The guys at Minneapolis Lock & Key did an superb job. They know their stuff, got me a new key made in half an hour, and cost a competitive and reasonable price for their exceptional support. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience together.

These men were superb. Quoted me a fair cost up front and adhered to it. Was super prompt, quick, friendly, and - bonus! - enlightening. Make certain you use their community number and do not get sniped by"24/7's" 800 #.

Every now and then you walk right into a business and, you know that you're one of specialists personally, before anyone even has a chance to greet you. This place is the alpha and omega of locks. When they don't have it, or know about it, then it isn't legit. Lock & mpls Key is a home-grown, local business with good customer support and competent technicians' real-deal. I feel lucky to have found them. Thank Yelp!

I brought a lock that was 50 year-old in to get a key made and they managed to it.

O... M.. . G. I did not even get to the point at which I used these guys' services since my initial contact was SO negative. To start with, like he's high, the man answering the phone sounds; arrogant, SO and slurring his words condescending. He contradicted himself later asking me whether it was a home or an apartment - that I said home - after which he said they don't service them, again in a way that was condescending. And if it was a home they'd charge a $65 review just to take a look at the lock, he said, and naturally, I understand. But. . .um. . .did you hear me say it was a home? Next, later asking me about the guards that I wanted replaced, he kept interrupting me saying it was"xyz" if he did not have all of the info. Obviously, this isn't my first rodeo, so I explained,"it has this mechanism and this", during which he cut me off again and said his original accessibility wasn't for 5 days since they were SO busy. I paused, then said,"well, frankly, I am rather unimpressed with this very first contact, I am not sure I want to utilize your services now." Now, get this, he answers (remember the condescending tone? Multiply that X 10 today ),"well, good luck finding somebody else in the region that does what we do..." at which point I hung up. Run off, my friend. . .run off! BTW, I only post remarks such as this if it was extreme - this was off the charts, although I try to give the benefit of a doubt. Good luck if you choose this business! There are other options.

The services that they actually performed went nicely, but pricing wasn't what I was told on the phone. They offered me $25-$35 on the phone and when I picked my ignition cylinder billed me. I said it to the guy ringing me up and that he did not seem to care.
