Diagnosis confirms that the cylinder has to be drilled out and I'm quoted $700 for a job. Again, I can not be chasing locksmiths that are better all morning, so I reluctantly give the OK to move.
I had a new ignition lock cylinder and the older one. I'm trying to get to work as soon as I can, so I cancel the other guys who have been on the road for a 10am ETA when these guys tell me about the telephone they can be here at 9am. The moment they are canceled by me, Prime calls back to tell me it will be like 11am. That. Guy checks and states 10:30. I will not get everywhere by switching locksmiths all morning, so I say fine. Well, guess when someone makes it into my auto - the worst of the scenarios, 11am. Off to a bad start and I'm going to be late for work.
I got home from work, found my keys where I asked the man to stash them, tested them... and discovered a big pile of steel shavings around the bottom of my car. Could not even clean up the mess...
The job will now take a few more hours since the man does not have components even though I advised someone on the phone just what the problem was and what kind of car I have, so now I'm hoping I'm not fired for being late. I must Lyft to operate (and back, so let's add that $40 to the price of all this). In addition to that, turn and I don't even get to open on my car with the key. GotId have two keys in my pocket that is only an inconvenience which will remind me of the experience that is bad every time, and which can be twice as many as I wanted I use them. The man doing the drilling shrugged it off as though he did not want to be bothered with that work when I expressed some frustration at this two key company. That is when I must have advised him to drill out the cylinder and stop there.
I would not advise this locksmith. Almost everything that could go wrong for me did go wrong. I didn't see the company that is behind all these 5-star ratings' side. I thought this would be simpler than doing it myself with instructions from the world wide web, but I believe I was incorrect about that. The 1 star added onto the evaluation that is available here is because the ignition works now and it did not before. Mission accomplished. Eventually. Now I know better and I expect you do too.

I'm so grateful for the service I received now! So what I appreciated and fast was that he insisted vacuuming after the work and put the entire time with my dogs that are barking up. Highly recommend and truly love the prompt, courteous, professional service!!!!

Two stars since they came when they said they would (it was not a crisis ) and were friendly. I requested for a doorknob to be replaced (I had the new doorknob) and also to install a lock on our gate. $289 was quoted by them. Said they could not install on the type of gate and looked at gate I've. Spent 10 minutes. Charged including what they had quoted that, the whole amount had contained the gate, they didn't do, and $15 for a two second adjustment to my door jamb. $304. I'm still angry at myself for paying it and not speaking up.

In and out in no time. They have been professional and billed me areasonable price for programming a fob and cutting on the key.

UPDATE: had Key & Van Nuys Lock came today to install keyless entry and he confirmed the lock is worn. He had been to our complex earlier for another unit. When the buildings were built 30 + years ago told me these locks and knobs were installed. Also allow me to know my door required to be shaved due to the weather we've been having causing the wood. A experience.
This company sent out. I told him for 3 times that the lock was slipping and would not catch when I attempted to open it (it'd eventually after much turning). Same thing happened but it wouldnt grab. Finally it started and he claimed it was because somebody should have been shifting the position which was impossible. I explained that lock is not locked and nobody switches it. He argued with me and laughed and said it should be my dogs or my God. I asked. He is on his way to home depot to fix it himself. Should you work with this business be prepared for mindset and condescension. This person didn't believe the lock was doing something out of the ordinary since he didn't think it was possible that the lock being in the vertical posture could slip to a horizontal position when the heavy door shuts. He never looked in the interior of the lock. He has a hard time listening. He assumed I was stupid and didn't do his due diligence and didn't know how to use my door. Kept asking me"was I certain" when ever I explained what was happening. I've lived her. Called another locksmith to come.

Avi is helpful. He fixed garage door for my customer's 10, today. They stated they'd attempt to correct garage openers, As soon as I phoned them ask service. It has been for a very long time, the intricate gate couldn't open. I asked neighbors that they had exactly the exact same problem. It rained quite a lot this winter. Walk outside to input pin and every time once I showed this home, I needed to stop the vehicle. Thanks Avi, I will call you next time for service.
