Normally I Just care for food, but I really liked the guy who worked here, so this will be my first and Maybe only Inspection of a locksmith:A super nice guy in a friendly little neighborhood area made me some keys, and that about covers it. Let him make your keys also!
He wrote down the data on a page of paper which had no firm info on it when I asked for a receipt. To find this information, I took a picture of a business information. He saw me do this and explained I had to delete it! Very cynical to say the least.
Horrible service. Please do not use this locksmith. I phoned them out of desperation after being told by each other locksmith they couldn't come help that day and I sincerely regret this choice to utilize this firm.
My bike lock jammed together with the key. My only option was to find someone who might use a grinder to saw it off. They lent me a quote of 50-80 bucks (already more than what it should cost, but I was desperate). When the"locksmith" arrived, they stated it was going to cost $120 instead. It took the man all of five minutes to saw through my u-lock, but he had a horrible attitude and was really rude.
Terrible experience. The man was so rude, smug and left a huge mess on the floor. Said it's not his job to clean up after himself. Have you ever noticed a contractor do this? For the amount he charged us (to get a mean job), you can surely find a better support.
This isn't a Brooklyn based beware of those, attorney. I suspect that they have listings on yelp. They gave me a knock lock when I had a security lock replaced. After needing keys, I just realized this - I took the key and they all told me that it was a made in China knock off lock. It's also not possible to get a key made, to add insult to injury, I needed to visit this locksmith to get keys @ $25 per. Beware, beware, beware.
This should probably be flagged. The telephone number listed connects to a dispatch-only outfit, without a street address (without a key-making support ). There's a good locksmith on 2nd St. in Park Slope, immediately below 7th Ave. However, these aren't them (and I am more than a little suspicious of outfits that won't give an address).
